Discoloured, scent fades, substandard perfume

I was sent a discoloured, unsatisfactory perfume. I compared it to a bottle of the same perfume I purchased direct from Estee Lauder and the Chemist Warehouse one was a dark totally different colour, and the scent does not linger as it does with my original bottle. I suspect the perfume is expired. I asked for a refund as I am entitled to under their own refund policy and Australian Consumer Law and was refused. Beware, not an authorised stockist.

I have been wearing this perfume for many years now. I never fail to receive comments about how nice I smell.I was even known at the local Veterinary Surgery as the lady who always smells nice I find it difficult to wear any other perfume. Even though it may smell nice on other people. When it reacts with my skin it smells awful.Knowing is perfect I have had a woman follow me around a garden centre smelling me. When she eventually asked me what my perfume was I said maybe she was smelling the flowers which were all around. She was adamant that it was my Knowing. Hello potential customers , my beautiful E L Knowing perfume is just that, a special perfume . It will suit some people and not others just as other perfumes although they smell wonderful on others do not suit me .For me it was try before you buy at the perfume counters at big department stores , I came across Knowing this way and although after a while I could no longer smell this fragrance on myself other people could smell it on me and I have sold many bottles of this perfume just by wearing it . I am a proud Aussie but this perfume is double the price in Australia and I found Fragrance X by chance online and found their service and consistant price so wonderful . I am not proud to buy online instead of over the counter of our dept stores in Australia as I would love to keep the money in our country but no one can match what I can buy for at Fragrance X . I always buy multiple bottles because of postage and handling so unless I become alergic to this perfume I will always wear it as I love it so much . This is a totally honest review and I hope it helps other customers decide to try it as I am sure you will be just as happy and will be able to feel confident that although you may not be able to smell this perfume on youself after a while others will and they will love it just as you do .

Modern Muse - No longer the same

I am a long term user of MM, bought 3 bottles back in 2015 from the 2014 batch. I am running out of my last bottle so decided to get a new one from the counter. To my disappointment, the new bottle only lasted 2 hours on my skin. I decided to test again the next day. Sprayed new one on my left wrist, and my old bottle on my right. Again new bottle only lasted 2 hours while my old bottle lasted 8 hours!!! Im upset and sad about this. I feel cheated.. I also noticed I am not the only long term user who noticed this change in the perfume quality. There has been complaints since the last few years and nothing has changed. I suppose one just have to accept that this is now a permanent formula for MM.. And considering MM has increased in price quite significantly.. Modern Muse my favourite!

I have been using it for some years now and I absolutely love it! This is my absolutely favourite smell!!! The only downside is the smell doesn't last long for a parfum! I am extremely heartbroken when the lady at the Estee Lauder counter at Manor told me it is being discontinued!!! Please Estee Lauder bring it back with more staying power! I immediately bought one as there were only a few left in stock! I don't know which parfum I will love after Modern Muse is discontinued!!!

Wanted to love this

This TSV was my Christmas treat to myself. Sadly the fragrance lacks any staying power and even initially it is weak albeit a pretty fragrance. I have used the serum for 4 weeks now - both night and day - and can see no improvement in fact I feel my lines and wrinkles are going the other way so I plan to return to my previous routine of alternating weeks on Korres Olive Oil and Elemis Pro Collagen Marine oil at night and Judith Williams Retinol serum under makeup. The kohl liner is difficult to get on to the inner rims - the pencil just doesn't want to leave the product - I much prefer the Laura Geller liners which go on more easily but tend to move during the day - Mally used to do a great one but it is always hard to get continuity with her range. What a shame …

I quite liked the serum though using it morning and evening I didn’t see a huge difference , the liner had good staying power as did the mascara unlike the Modern Muse which was so weak I had to spray loads and still could barely smell anything , absolutely no staying power, and no , I have never had COVID , I can smell all my other fragrance , including a German supermarket fragrance which is lovely with longer staying power . I did find myself wondering if it was a bad batch of Modern Muse offloaded by Estée Lauder to QVC ? Very disappointed as it was my Christmas Present to me . Returned
