First spray is a massive sharp punch of resiny amber. My very first thought was "Chanel No. 5?" because it does have that timeless vintage amber vibe to it. The dry down is a gorgeous ambery, woody, smoky leather with a touch of peppery spice.Rien is one of my favourites from ELDO. The notes blend in such a way that none are specifically overpowering or clashing, and each note wafts to the forefront every so often just to remind you it's there. All the while it remains a smoky leather, amber scent that has that classic vintage perfume vibe. I'd recommend Rien for leather, smoke and amber lovers, and those who appreciate the vintage charm of days gone by.

Blazing saddles

Rien, along with Bandit are probably the best dry, unsweetened leathers around. Rien opens with a burst of aldehydes, grubby civet and a beautiful resinous frankincense. Rien is almost entirely devoid of sweetness expect for a tiny ambery touch in the drydown and as it develops, you get a whisper of rose but other than that, it stays fairly linear. A masterpiece
