This year, I finally caved and started to seriously consider a "do-it-all" flagship robot vacuum. Anytime I'm looking at spending $1000 or more on something, I spend an obsessive amount of time researching my options. But for every review of a $1000+ flagship model I watched, I'd always see a recommended review of the X10 Pro Omni.Discovering reviews about the X10 Pro Omni was confusing...the concensus seemed to be that it was really great, but everybody still insisted on calling it a mid-range model, presumably because of its price. The implication seemed to be that something was still holding it back from going toe to toe with the obscenely expensive flagships.Fortunately for me, this thing has exceeded all of my expectations and then some.My floors are as ... The implication seemed to be that something was still holding it back from going toe to toe with the obscenely expensive flagships.Fortunately for me, this thing has exceeded all of my expectations and then some.My floors are as clean as I want them to be (freshly vacuumed & mopped) on a near-daily basis. I can walk around the house all day in white socks and they stay white, with barely a stray dog hair stuck to them. The best part is I've barely had to lift a finger. The first time I turned this robot over to look at the roller was after 5 days of use and there were only a few strands of hair tangled in the bristles. I didn't even have to remove the roller to pick them out. When I looked at the mop pads, to see how clean the self-cleaning feature actually got them, they looked like they were fresh out of the wash. The drip tray will need cleaned out semi-regularly, it looks like, as I had some sediment starting to cake up in the bottom of mine, but it's removable and that should be a quick rinse & good to go.I can run it at any point in time, which is such a night and day difference from my old robot. The X10 Pro Omni is a ninja by comparison. Even on max suction vacuuming, it's like having a 50db dishwasher running...you can hear it, but it's not bothersome. In summary, I love this thing and have been nothing but impressed with its performance, acoustics, convenience and value. Maybe the $1,000-1,800 models are better...but I would have a hard time beliving their performance scales linearly with their increased price.

I've had a couple robot vacuums, and so far this is the best one, as far as ability to clean. It has some nice quality of life features, that honestly feel like no-brainers that my past robot vacuums haven't had.Setup was a little odd, I tried manually putting it on the dock after taking it out of the box and plugging in the dock, but it didn't seem to realize it was there (maybe i seated it wrong), so had to take it off the dock. and turn on the vac manually, and then press the home button and make it find home itself, which took awhile as it spun in circles to figure out where it was. Then in the eufy clean app, when trying to add it, my phone couldn't find it, so I had to go through the extra step of manually setting connecting to the robot wifi. It wasn't a big deal though. The robot is able to charge, clean the mop, and empty the dust bin without having to turn around on the dock. This is one of the no-brainer things that makes this better than some other robovacs that I've used. Makes the process go quicker. And, being able to clean and empty is important because of one of the other no-brainer features this has... and that's being able to tell it when/how often, during a cleaning cycle, it should return to the dock for cleaning and emptying. So, now, I can set it to clean a large room, or series of rooms, and it will return to clean and empty every 15-30 mins (or more, depending on setting), and/or go back to clean between rooms. This is contrast to other products I've used which only return after the cleaning cycle is done. This means I have to schedule room cleanings separately, so the bin doesn't get too full or the mop become useless. And, speaking of the mops, the mop(s) are particularly effective on this. Instead of dragging, or making small shifting movements, there are two mop pads that spin at a decent speed to actually get good scrubbing action. The pads also reach ever so slightly out from the machine, so it can reach edges better. Also, I have two large dogs, being able to clean dog hair is very important. I've historically had issues with the auto-empty functions being able to empty the hair, as it needs a pretty good vacuum between the machine and the dock to be able to empty the hair. So far, I've never had to manually empty the dustbin, which is a huge win in my book.As for the app, and detecting obstacles. The map function in the app, seems to work nearly identically to other robot vacuums, to the point where I wonder if they use the same software library amongst themselves. So don't expect any ground-breaking changes with how the map features work and function. Object detection seems to be really good, and I haven't had this get stuck on wires or a stray blanket, but the machine actually detecting what the object was it encountered is pretty poor. But that's not very important to me, as long as it avoids obstacles.

Eufy’s built-in artificial intelligence determines if the floor is a hard surface or carpet, and it knows to recognize and avoid objects lying around, such as dog toys, shoes, etc. Scheduling is also highly customizable to clean at various times of the day, days of the week, and even which rooms to clean to fit around your schedule. You can even set up “no-go zones” for areas where you don’t want eufy to clean or cause damage to itself. Just as important, it has a child lock to prevent accidents with infants and young children. We have two dogs and they were curious initially, but soon lost interest and eufy was allowed to clean without any canine interference. You can adjust things like suction power, self-cleaning, repeat cleaning, etc., but I found default settings to work just fine but may do some fine-tuning as I learn more about what’s possible. Battery life appears very good as ours cleaned for well over an hour with no sign of wearing down. It will return to base to charge the battery, add water, dispose of dirty water, and empty the vacuum all on its own. A pleasant voice will keep you informed as it performs its duties. Eufy sells all the necessary supplies, such as replacement brushes, mops, and vacuum bags and prices are very reasonable and affordable.Being my first experience with a robotic vacuum/mop, I am thoroughly impressed with eufy. My only nitpick might be the fact that you have to use vacuum bags, and it can be loud when it empties. It’s great for keeping up with cleaning and vacuuming, but I would still recommend a good hand mopping and vacuuming the old-fashioned way from time to time. Don’t sell the vacuum. With eufy vacuuming and mopping all of our floors, I might need to find a new hobby with all this new spare time I am going to have. Again, this is my first experience with a robotic mop/vacuum, but I can’t imagine a combo mop/vac that performs better than the eufy X10 Pro Omni.

MoreEufy has long made a name for itself offering a more budget friendly alternative to robot vacuums from some of their larger competitors, but over the last couple of years they’ve been making an aggressive play for the higher end market with premium offerings that achieve feature parity with much more expensive units. The highly capable X10 Omni Pro shows that their hardware has matured enough to match and in some ways even surpass many of the companies they once emulated – but are still held back somewhat by inconsistent and unpolished software. One of the nice fringe benefits of having a mop/vacuum combo like this is that there are no extra parts like removable pads, water tanks, or alternate brushes to deal with. This made getting the vacuum set up very quick and painless. I was a little disappointed to see that it couldn’t use any of the existing maps or schedules made by the Eufy X8 that I already had, but it only took about half an hour for it to run its mapping run and another hour or so to adjust the map to break up the rooms by various floor types. And this is where the X10 really began to shine. One of the biggest new features of this vacuum is “scenarios,” which are essentially a way to program the vacuum’s cleaning behavior with a level of specificity I don’t think I’ve seen before. The floor the vacuum is located on represented a bit of a difficult case because it has a mix of carpets, tile, and hardwood flooring. And while I trust the smart floor detection system not to drench a carpet, I am not brave enough to find out if it was intelligent enough to recognize that wood should not be mopped daily. With scenarios though, you don’t need to take the risk. You can put together a program detailing exactly how you want the vacuum operate in just a few minutes, using as much or as little of the robot’s built in intelligence as you feel comfortable with. As far as features go it almost beats out the permanently attached mop. Almost. The X10 is perhaps the first robot vacuum I’ve come across with a mop that I expect to see regular use. I’ve tried several of these things over the years, most of which used microfiber pads to do their cleaning. And while these aren’t bad, they’re also rather hard to recommend. When it comes right down to it it’s just dragging a damp rag across the floor. They’re not great for big messes because they either struggle to pull up anything stuck to the floor or get saturated with grime that they’re just spreading it around. And with small ones it’s hard to justify the effort required to get the vacuum set up for mop mode. With the X10 though it’s always ready to start mopping, and the counterrotating mop pads are refreshingly aggressive. And perhaps best of all, they’re self cleaning. Every fifteen minutes the thing turns around, heads back to the base, and flushes out the mop heads to make sure it never starts hurting your floors more than they’re helping. There is still some maintenance of course. There are two water tanks that will need fairly regular attention (one for clean water and one for gray water) and the pads will need to occasionally go into the laundry to deal with messes that can’t be solved by a rinse and a squeegee. But it’s such a huge reduction in the level of effort robotic mapping requires, and makes it far more usable. It only took two passes for it to handle typical messes in the entryway and kitchen and did better on a few sticky spots from spilled juice and soda than I expected – though its lack of any kind of cleaning solution other than water still meant there were a few that it just couldn’t move (particularly in the grout for the tile, where the brushes were less effective.) But make no mistake, it is a gamechanger. And just in case you think I forgot – the vacuum is pretty good too. When I got the X8 I remember being very impressed at how Eufy’s new high suction cleaning system managed to pull up so much dirt while still being one of the quieter robovacs I’d ever tried. But it did struggle with rugs and carpet – particularly in high volume areas like the entryway. The X10, owing I think mostly to an improved navigation model that allows for it to maximize overlap with each pass and shimmy its way along walls to bring the cleaning head as close as possible to the edges and corners robotic vacuums so often struggle with, did not have this problem. I still think that there’s perhaps some room for improvement in the brush design, which remains quite narrow compared to the body of the vacuum, but until we see more manufacturers willing to widen their cleaning heads this smarter navigation is a decent compromise. So, at this point you’re likely thinking that this all sounds great. Particularly for a vacuum in this price range. Perhaps you’re even wondering if there’s a catch. And, unfortunately, there is.I remember thinking when I was first setting up the X8 that the Eufy software had a lot of eccentricities. Nothing that necessarily rose to the level of a bug, at least not once I’d got past the initial login screen, but there were a lot of minor quality of life issues like buttons which required pinpoint precision to hit on a typical phone screen, clumsy interface design, and vital instructions and features being hidden within menus for no clear reason. With the X10, I was finding both bugs and what appeared to be major missing features. The biggest one of these is, sadly, connected to one of my favorite parts of the software: the scenarios. Any custom scenarios you design must be triggered manually rather than setting them to run on a timer. Scheduling jobs is possible, but through a much more rudimentary interface that doesn’t even offer half as many options for customizing the program. Personally I think I could probably count the number of times I manually start a robot vacuum cleaning cycle in a year on one hand. I automate everything. And by not integrating the scenario system into the job scheduler, they have essentially neutered what I might have considered a defining selling point. And the lack of polish in the app hasn’t gone away, or gotten any less noticeable with the more complex system either. When setting up a job, for example, it always assumes you want to start with your whole home. My first instinct is to tap on the map of the floor it shows to begin selecting or deselecting rooms for cleaning. But no, this does nothing. If you want to do that you need to switch to “room” mode. It’s not a huge pain point, but it’s also easy to miss and very nearly resulted in me doing what I’d been trying very hard not to do: mopping the oak floors. Because other apps have conditioned me to expect that kind of context switch to happen automatically. And I discovered what looks to be a straight up bug in the scenario editor if I had multiple rooms assigned to a task where editing the program for one room would lock me out of the others unless I manually toggled the “smart clean” option for the entire scenario first. I don’t know if anyone from Eufy is monitoring app feedback and user reviews, but if they are PLEASE take a closer look at your app. This vacuum is too good for the supporting software to be holding it back this much.Ultimately though despite my subpar experience with the software, the X10 remains an easy recommendation for me. Particularly at this price point it is exemplary at doing its job, and I have to hold out hope that eventually they’ll get enough complaints to sort out the app and come up with a more sensible scheduling system.

Once you download the app and get it set up you then have the vacuum map your own house in which case it utilizes its built in sensing camera to draw up a floor plan on the app. You can then set zones, schedules and even determine the strength of suction. All of these items are pretty standard in just about most units on the market right now. I own a few self vacuuming units and it always seems to be hit or miss but one thing i have yet to find was a self vacuum unit and mop combo that actually does a decent job mopping and not just push the dirt around. For me where this item really shined was in two key areas and that was functionality and effectiveness. When put to work simply add clean water to fill line on the water tank and make sure the waste tanks are empty. When the unit starts cleaning the first brushes are the rollers for the vacuum which does a good job picking up dirt and pet hair. This was a big concern of mine as i own two big dogs and i was worried about the vacuum not picking up all the hair and mixing the hair with the mop heads. The unit did a great job sucking up all debris which allowed for the rearward mop heads to do its job effectively. Not only that but there was very little to almost no tangle in the rollers which meant i didn't have to stick my hands in there to clean out dirty pet hair. The next thing i really was impressed with was how tight it hugged the corners and how it tried so hard to scrub the floors with the mop heads. It was actually kind of funny to watch because when the unit detects more than normal debris it will actually work the mop heads side to side to get a better deep clean which makes the vacuum look like its wiggling its rear. When the unit detects that its waste container is full or the that the mop heads are dirty and no longer giving the best clean, it will return to its base for a quick pit stop. Once at its base it will actually use suction to remove the debris from the waste container and remove the waste water. It refills its water tank but also will clean its own mop heads ensuring that you are not just smearing dirt everywhere on your next pass.So what makes it different than others out there? For me it truly is its effectiveness. This unit actually does a very good job at cleaning and not just smearing dirt around. Like i said earlier nothing replaces the human aspect of doing it yourself however this comes in at a strong second. The fact that the mop heads clean themselves and empties its own self means that there is very little to do in the way of clean up and maintenance on this unit. If you have pets and hardwood or porcelain floors then do yourself a favor and try out this unit.
The Eufy X10 Pro Omni is a great robotic automated cleaning solution for anyone that struggles to keep up with daily cleaning (which is likely many people these days). Being a parent working full time, robotic vacuums have been a savior for my household's cleaning routine, and the X10 Pro Omni has been a huge upgrade over my previous robotic vacuum since it adds a hugely useful mopping function. Overall, I feel like the X10 Pro Omni strikes a nice balance of features, performance, and price and while it's not without downsides, it's a very nice option for those considering this type of product. The docking station is the star of the show. Traditionally, having to manually empty and clean robotic vacuums has been their main downfall. While automated cleaning is always a welcome nicety, having to constant "service" them can become tedious. This unit solves that issue by automating portions of this maintenance. One highly underrated feature of the dust bin is the fact that they've put filter on it. This for me is crucial since the cleaning/emptying cycle has potential to release a lot of contaminants into the air. Eufy claims the filter can trap particles down to .3 microns, which technically would put it on HEPA filter level, but it seems they're not calling it a HEPA filter. Either way, it's a great feature. Along with automated dust emptying, the base also holds the water for the mopping function. The mop is function for about 20 minutes, at which point, it returns to the base to top up on water, and then continues on. This works surprisingly well in my experience and makes the whole operation seamless. Additionally, the base dries the mop pads once the cleaning operation is done. This is also a hugely underrated feature, given it takes all the manual work out of the picture for the most part. Overall, maintenance tasks are down to about once per week, which is a HUGE benefit for me.Vacuum performance here is very good. It seems to do a better job cleaning carpets than my previous vacuums, and seemingly deals with pet hair pretty well. It has a "comb" of sorts that helps keep tangles to a minimum, and in my testing in a house with a long haired cat, I found this to work very well. Previous robotic vacuums I've had required pretty regular brush head cleaning to clear tangled hair. Not really so with this one, which is a huge bonus. Additionally, the vac has "AI" object avoidance on board. While this has mostly worked well, there have been times where it was unable to avoid fabric obstacles, leading to some major jams that needed manual intervention to clear. Overall, I'm happy with the job the vacuum does in terms of suction power and obstacle avoidance, but it's definitely not perfect. The mopping function here is surprisingly good. This largely is owing to the fact that the mop heads not only spin laterally, but also apply a supposed 2+ lbs of downward force. As a parent, this has been exceptional, cleaning a majority of food messes without us having to think about it. Spills and stuck, dried on food on our wood floors has been a non-issue for the X10 Pro Omni. Finally, likely the best feature of the entire package is the fact that the unit raises the mops up while traversing over carpet. This helps to keep moisture in places it shouldn't be to a minimum. The final aspect of the X10 Pro Omni worth mentioning is the accompanying app. I initially had some issues getting everything hooked up, but after some troubleshooting was eventually able to get it working. Once hooked up, the app gives you access to a number of features, including the scheduling and mapping functions. Overall, the app is a nice addition. Those worried about cybersecurity (which should be everyone in 2024), you may consider whether the app is worth the convenience. Eufy is quick to tout their security claims about camera footage and general information not being shared back with their servers, but it's honestly quite difficult to trust this these days. Personally, I've decided not use the app and keep the unit offline.Overall, this is a really well thought out product. The features on tap here make this unit stand out given the price point, and it has the cleaning performance to back this up. As mentioned previously, I'm a parent with small children, making finding consistent time to clean difficult. The X10 Pro Omni has come along to save the day, giving me a consistent cleaning routine that requires very minimal intervention and keeps our floor tidy. If you're in the market, consider the Eufy as a great lower price option.
***Update***I raised my review because I was impressed by Eufy’s service and commitment to this product. After my review they reached out to ask for additional details on the issue, pics of the rug causing issues and showed a genuine interest in capturing my concerns so these could hopefully be remediated in a future firmware upgrade. It’s nice to see a customer centric company that views feedback as a gift and uses it as an opportunity to improve their product rather than get defensive or blame the customer.***Previous review***I’ve been excited to try this and watched a lot of YouTube reviews but most are sponsored and exaggerating how good this is. Some issues for my low review are:1. I’ve got a rug with tassels in the foyer and it gets stuck on them constantly or flips the rug over on the corners. If it was smart it would get on the rug from the non tassel long edge, vacuum the rug and move back to the hardwood but instead it wants to go in long strips vertically and gets stuck constantly. I can’t be the only person with a rug. How have they not programmed for this?2. It’s SLOW! It took it 82 minutes on vacuum only standard suction mode to do my lower level floor in a mostly open concept floor plan before the battery died and it had to go back for charging. Then I realized it never even finished the living room and had to charge for Hours before going back to finish the job3. Continuation of complaint 2 but battery doesn’t last long enough to clean the house. Unless I’m gone for 10+ hours the house wouldn’t get clean. Which it wouldn’t get clean clean anyways because I have to babysit it when it gets stuck on the rug tassels.4. It should be able to map where carpets or rugs are and then get on the rug finish the rug and do the rest of the floor but instead it’s constantly trying to go up and down the rug and strugglingMaybe some of this can be fixed with a software update so I’ll wait until I’m near 30 days to see what’s fixed otherwise it’s going back.
I couldn't have asked for a better robotic vacuum for both vacuuming and mopping. This does both efficiently. First and foremost, the design is great and doesn't look odd while placed inside the house. Let's talk about vacuuming, its powerful 8000 Pa suction capability allows it to remove the hidden debris inside the carpets, it doesn't even let one pet hair go unnoticed. I hardly find any missed spots. Although it makes frequent trips to the base to dump the trash, I do not mind it as it is all seamlessly done without any manual intervention. The dust bag is big enough from my home to last about a few weeks. The dust bag is big enough from my home to last about a few weeks. As with any type of vacuum, the most tricky part is to take the tangled hair out but the roller brush of this vacuum rotates in the opposite direction and its Pro-Detangle comp flips to loosen and remove the hair itself without me monitoring or doing it myself. When it comes to mopping, it can switch easily between the modes to keep the home as clean as any human would do by cleaning for hours. The dual mop pads are used with 180 rotations per minute and can clean the stickiest of stains to make the floors spotless. When it detects the carpet area then it automatically raise by 12mm to prevent it getting wet. As per the provided instructions, I wash these mop pads using clean water and then dry them at around 45 °C to prevent bad odor and to avoid the bacteria growth. We are living in the AI age and how can this be eluded from this, so it is capable of identifying more than 100 different objects like wires, shoes, toys, etc to navigate around these and not to move to areas which are already cleaned earlier. Not just this, I use the app to schedule the cleaning as per my availability and this does the rest. This has the capability to create the cleaning routes around the home which can be used for future cleaning jobs.

The eufy X10 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop is my second smart robot vacuum with a wet mopping function. Additionally it has a mop hot-air drying function that heats it up to 45 degrees Celsius which I had not yet seen from any other vendor. My X10 Pro Omni came with about 60% battery charge, but I decided to fully charge it first white getting acquainted with the eufy Clean App. On its first trip, it went about its floor mapping business, around furniture obstacles, even over the thresholds between the living room and kitchen and over a number of area rugs. The obstacle avoidance works really well, thanks to the laser sensor and RGB camera that help it adjust its path and cleaning optimization based on the surface it’s going over. The obstacle avoidance works really well, thanks to the laser sensor and RGB camera that help it adjust its path and cleaning optimization based on the surface it’s going over. It also has bright LED headlights that help it find its way around dark rooms. The eufy X10 Pro Omni is much quicker to scan the rooms with its top-mounted laser scanner and A.I.See. It completed about 1200 sqft mapping of 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room and bathroom in about 15 minutes, after which it returned to the home base that I placed in the living room. You can specify if you want it to just vacuum or vaccum/mop and also how often it will return to the homebase to rinse out and dry the mop heads. Speaking of mopping, don’t forget to fill up the clean water tank and empty the dirty water tank after several sessions. The vacuum bag also needs to be replaced, though it’s fairly high capacity at 2.5L and depending on how much debris you collect, it should last 2 months or longer. At the time of this writing, eufy was selling a set of 6 antibacterial and deodorizing dust bags for $27.99 which is not that expensive for a year supply. You can find even cheaper compatible bags made by other 3rd parties. The cleaning can be done for the entire mapped area or you can label and select individual rooms that have been mapped or restrict rooms/areas from vacuuming. Once it was done vacuuming, it easily found its way back to the cleaning station for charging. After a few runs, when the vacuum dirt tray is full, it will automatically kick in the self-emptying routine to the auto empty station where the waste bag is installed. The eufy X10 Pro Omni was quieter than the competing models I’ve previously used from other vendors and thanks to its A.I. See advanced Laser and RGB camera object detection, it does not violently bump into anything, instead it slows down right before the object and then goes around. It’s more powerful 8,000pa of suction than any of the previous models I’ve owned and also puts down 2lbs of pressure that help mop away harder to clean spills. Moreover when the mopping function is enabled, it will know when it reaches a carpeted area, so it will lift the mop heads by 12mm and stop spinning them thus not getting the rug wet - very smart indeed. Speaking of smart, it can be paired with Alexa and will respond to voice commands, and also “talk back” giving short verbal updates.Overall if you are in the market for an affordable, yet advanced robot vacuum with a powerful wet mopping function, the eufy X10 Omni Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop is the one to get.
