I bought this and added alot of other cameras and door sensors 2yrs ago. I use it daily and love it. I have both the high end and regular cameras plus the in-home and doorbell cameras. The only advice is the the high end cameras are great for daytime distance clarity only but don't work as well as these cameras at night. Plus how you use them and set up the trigger feature will determine that amount of times you will charge them durring the year. Some of my high use and high trigger cameras must be charged 2-3x per year but the others maybe only 1x. Overall very easy set up and easy to mount and dismount for charging. The negative is charge times. Fyi the silly Black additional covers save battery life in my testing in the colder temps

Be very careful buying this security camera unit because its shortcomings can make it completely useless depending on your situation. Setup is simple and fast and the app is easy to navigate around and functional however that's where the positives end. I have a brick house with a steel internal frame and that seems to be a hill too many for this unit. After setup and installing the cameras well within their specified range and recommended positioning they constantly lose signal with the base station. This wouldn't be so bad if the re-establish connection function within the app worked. It doesn't. which means you have to physically climb ladders, take the camera back to the base station and re-sync the camera. This was happening multiple time day and night even with the cameras on the other side of a ceiling to floor window a couple of meters away from the base station. Repositioning both cameras and base station did absolutely nothing to fix connection issues and after 48 hours of up and down ladders I gave up. This could be a great system with the addition of a signal booster or stronger base station but no fix has been forthcoming fron Eufy for this problem for at least the past two years. Their customer service and technical support is non-existant and the community section withinthe app is full of the same unresolveds issue dating back a couple of years. I place absolutely no blame on the retailers, it's soley Eufy's fault for not working to resolve a long-standing and well documented problem with this system. Some people have the setup and have had no problems with it and the picture and sound quality is great I have to admit. But on night one I had an intruder in my yard that the dogs alerted me to and all cameras had gone offline. This is a great concept however its unreliability makes it a liability. Keep your receipt, you may need it.

The delay between it being triggered and the recording started is a few seconds. In my case I have had mail magically appear in my mailbox because the mailman didn't trigger the motion detection even though they are dead center of frame for about 5 seconds. Where as my neighbor across the streets flag blowing in the wind at 3 am triggers the motion detection constantly.Night Vision - Very good.Setup - Configuring the camera settings though the app is very simple with easy to use controls that I feel anybody could use. Physically mounting the cameras was also a breeze for anybody with any basic handyman type skills, took about 5 min per camera.Using the App - There is a big issue when it comes to using the app to view the cameras, and this may be an issue exclusive to this model but I doubt it. The issue being that when I hit the button to start the feed there is a delay of sometimes up to 30 seconds before the stream starts. At first I thought this may be because of the distance to the base station or my internet speeds however the camera next to the base station, which is has wired ethernet, has the same delay. I cannot speak for notifications as I don't have them turned on however in the short time I had them on after setup they seemed to come in quick.Using the Website - If I am waiting for a package or hear a sound outside my house I always use the website. And this is where my biggest complaint and annoyance with these cameras exists. The web feeds just don't work randomly, I will hit play the the player turns black and starts loading but it just wont work. Sometimes I cant look at a camera feed for a few hours because it keeps giving a "Failed to request." error. I cannot speak for the cloud storage option as I do not use it.Reliability - I have not noticed any issues with rain, snow, wind, etc damaging the cameras at all. They seem well designed and well built. The charge port has a large rubber seal to keep water out and the mounts themselves are very sturdy. I have not had any cameras die or ever had to contact support for help, however, there is an issue with one of them. I have a camera pointed at the sidewalk out front of my house, aimed at where my car is parked, and this camera gets about 50-80 motion events a day. Randomly this camera will just appear as offline in the app and the website. The only way to bring it back online is to bring the camera inside and plug it into the charger for just a second, after which the camera will spring back to life like nothing happened and will continue to work for another few weeks/months before doing it again. Perhaps there is something wrong with this unit however the problem is not enough of a headache for me to really do anything about it.Would I recommend these to somebody?Yes, If you want to be able to keep an eye on your house when your not home or want some insurance against porch pirates these cameras do the job about 99.9% of the time. They do have weaknesses, however you are buying wireless battery powered cameras so you are gonna have to make a compromise somewhere.

These work great. Easy to install the app and get them running (much easier than the stupid google ones).Easy to install on the wall (screws that come with them are crap though so use your own screws)Battery seems to last pretty well. Have had them up for about a month and still have 89% battery.App is very easy to operate and also easy to purchase additional cameras and add them to the same system.Cameras have a night light and alarm as well which is handy for when you’re away, you can have the alarm switched on. Also they don’t pick up my dogs as motion which is great for saving battery.Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an affordable camera system.
The EufyCam 2C is a great security camera requiring absolutely no wiring. This purchase brings my total camera quantity to 8. The cameras pick up motion extremely well and capture video very clearly and for almost as long as you want. The more activity recorded of course the lesser amount of time the batteries will last however they last a very very long time regardless. I’ve even used them to record workers around my property to see how the job is progressing and how well they are doing. I am alerted via my iPhone whenever movement is detected and can instantly review what is taking place. I can even watch the surveillance of these cameras through my Alexa Show by asking Alexa to open a particular security camera. The system works perfectly, it is very easy to setup, the quality of the image is great and notification speed is just awesome no matter where you are in the world. Also you don't have to pay any monthly fees and you have multiple options to configure the alerts and monitoring.I found a couple of downsides though that are mostly software related so hopefully those will be fixed soon:1.- You cannot configure the alarm to sound on the home base and the cameras at the same time if the system is triggered by a window sensor (I would prefer this to make it way louder. This function only works if the alarm is triggered by one of the cameras, then you can have the alarm sound in all the devices.2.- The setup with Alexa is still limited and you can only voice activate ... MoreThe system works perfectly, it is very easy to setup, the quality of the image is great and notification speed is just awesome no matter where you are in the world. Already have some of these and this deal was better than buying a few extra cameras, No wiring and easy to install, as long as the place you want to put it aligns with the cameras base, these can restrict some positions.I have heavy amount of activity for the camera and they last about 3-4 months. But one of them only sees a bit of action and lasts longer 4-5 months. Rechargeable with a battery pack. These are good. The only issue I had. Purchased this set and the power bank had the incorrect adapter for Australian plug for the transformer, they had one in there but it didn’t fit the transformer. Didn’t bother me but this does concern me that it would be a grump for someone who didn’t have a system installed already.Setup is easy and done it on my phone. The camera need to be all “linked” to the base station and need to come close to the base station prior to being installed where you want them.I will buy more of these the base station acts as the video bank I don’t like paying for offsite recording. So fits my thrifty ways.
Originally got Blink cameras and returned those in 3 days. They were pure junk (terrible picture, worse night vision, terrible sound quality and it had this awful digital squealing over the recordings quite often. Also, only sporadic motion detection). Did a bit more research and chose this Eufy set and the 2k set. The closed system with no subscription was the original appeal but the quality of the cameras themselves is fantastic! There's obviously a few choices out there and I've edited a few of them but these by far are my favorites for picture, sound, and motion detection. There are a few caveats to them but they are minor in comparison. I'll update on the features as the need arises.Pros:High quality pictureClearest Sound of any other system I've ... MoreOriginally got Blink cameras and returned those in 3 days. Durable and water tight.Cons:Instalation is finicky with several moving unattached parts that can be an issue. Especially if dropped and lost.***my biggest con*** up to 3 Activity zones but they are only rectangles and cannot be uniquely shaped. This is a problem for those of us that do not have perfect rectangles or squares for property or are trying to avoid / capture certain angles. No continued shapshot capture. This may not be an issue for everyone but it's one preferred feature I have of the Ring. The continuous capturing of a snapshot every 15 minutes or so is not an option on the eufy cameras. That feature has assisted us in capturing and timing of events in the past by capturing things that didn't trigger motion detection or more often are outside of our activity zones but still incredibly helpful.Overall:Absolutely would recommended.
I researched this brand, and they are rated high, especially for the price. This is my first purchase of a camera for outdoors and I am not very experienced in mounting anything to a building. These are very easy to install. They supply a sticker so you can easily mark and drill the holes with ease. They need to be mounted at least 10 ft high. I live in apartments and that is about as high as I can get, but it is high enough that someone can't just walk up and remove the cameras. I will be able to use a step ladder to remove them for charging, but the charge lasts 180 days so that won't be an issue. To be honest, I got on YouTube and found a video that walked me through connecting the cameras to the home base and I found a video on how to mount it. I've never used a drill until I got these. It wasn't difficult to set up the connections to the home base and I am no techie. I labeled 1-unit front door and the other back patio. The range of view lets me see my patio area and the sidewalks, so the range is really good. My front door allows me to see my front door area and my neighbors. I love they are wireless, and I don't have to purchase a subscription! They are very clear visually, day or night. You can set it up to notify you if you leave home, which is a nice option. And you can also set the sensitivity. Living in an apartment people are walking by all day with dogs, etc. Oh, I love that I can speak thru the camera, and it has a spotlight and siren. The siren is pretty loud. I've had some violent neighbors thru the years and knowing I can warn someone and cause a lot of noise in a crisis is awesome They were delivered quickly, and I feel confident because Best Buy stands by their products. I am super pleased and feel so much safer.
Not sure if a 2k pro is compatible with this base as it continues to loose the connection. Going to return the 2K pro cam for another to see if it's just a problem with the camera. 2C cam that it came with works well. Purchased two solo cams with one that fails to hold connection. Reset cam and it came on this morning then was disabled again an hour later. Four years with Arlo and never had this much trouble shooting. Looking like I should return Eufy system and go back. Phone support made me think Eufy would be a better choice but a rude customer rep and frequent camera disconnects are contributing to my consideration of returning to Arlo.
