This system was easy to set up if you know a little about fitting door handles or locks. YouTube has some great videos if you need help getting your old handle off and installing the Eufy system. We installed this in place of a standard lock set and will not be able to use the auto lock feature because of this. It was for my back door only so not an issue anyway. If you want the auto locking feature to work, you need a standard door set to keep the door closed until the door auto locks. The fingerprint feature works immediately on touch (after set-up completed via the Eufy app). I like knowing that there is a passcode option and a physical key to unlock the door if the battery fails or your fingerprint doesn't work for any reason. You can also open the door via the Eufy app. Only issue we encountered with installation was the stripping of the long screw heads for the striker plate as they go so far in and can hit the main frame. This also happened on the camera door lock we installed. You will likely need some tools (chisel, hammer etc) for installation if using the extra striker reinforcer plate for extra security. Overall, I highly recommend this product for ease of installation, use and Eufy app features.

Almost since 1 year we have been thinking of changing our door lock to these modern fingerprint and numberpad locks and after doing our research this was one of the locks that passed all our criteria.We have been super happy since the day we installed it. Fingerprint option is a life saver when you have a lot of stuff in your hand. Overall its been good for us.Pros: The packaging and shipment came in fastFingerprint option is amazingThe manual lock knob is hidden which is actually good and I liked it.Cons: A little more clear instructions would help plus the door knob was a little too big for us though we used our old lock knob which works perfectly as well.Overall a good purchase and happy with it.

I have purchased multiple Eufy cameras, vacuums, doorbells, and smart locks. They normally take good care of customers but that has not been the case recently. This lock has had major problems and did not even last 10 months. In that window of time it has blown thru batteries in a week, sent out error signals that the door wasn’t locked when it was, and now it disconnected from the system and can’t be added back on. All of this happened after the 90 day return window so now I am stuck with a $200 piece of junk that won’t integrate with my other Eufy devices that include a smart lock, video doorbell, 3 cameras, and a hub. As a senior (70+) I wanted something that would make my life easier. This lock was a pretty straight forward installation. I did have to do a little rework on the hole the bolt slides into, but overall I had no real issue with that. I already own a Eufy doorbell, so the integration on the web was a breeze.I'm not quite sure why the strikes that go on the door frame were so big, since the bolt itself was about half the size of the opening, but at least I didn't have to worry about seasonal changes that might affect the movement of the bolt.First time I used the lock I was not able to use my print. I kept getting an error message. I finally resorted to using the key. Since then, I've adjusted the settings to make sure this doesn't happen again. Perhaps the best way for me to access is to just use my iPhone, although the purpose of me getting this particular lock was so I didn't have to fumble with items to get into the house.I like this lock because it gives me options. It monitors battery life, and allows me to open the lock 4 ways; print, keypad, phone, key. I've discovered that the print pad needs a delicate touch. As I get used to this lock I'm realizing that I wish I hadn't waited so long to install this.Recommend for its easy installation and ease of use. If an old granny can get this installed, it should be easy for someone else.
My daughter kept losing her house key and I refused to get her another key. I was starting to feel unsafe after 3 lost keys. I already have other Eufy products that I love so I bought this. My BIL installed it quickly and said it was easier than the other brands he’s done. We love this!!! I know who locks and unlocks the door. I can control it with my phone. It comes with 5 keys but I did NOT give her one LOL. I registered her fingerprint and set it to auto lock immediately when closed. By default it’s set for 1 min. I suggest changing that in the settings.
I had really high hopes for this product but, after using it for a month or two, I'm a bit disappointed in this product. The lock looks sleek and has many functions desirable on a smart lock including finger print. It's cool to be able to identify who is unlocking the door. The app is not very exciting and has few functions. The real downside of this lock is that after a few months, the mechanism starts to fail and jams constantly. This was an expensive mistake and would recommend looking at other locks before buying this. Having done some further research, it looks like the jamming is common and nothing seems to fix the problem.

I couldn't believe it. So silent when I locked it outside I had to check to make sure it locked. Operation is quick my old keypad lock would take forever to operate. (though that maybe due to the age I replaced it because the motor went out.) Kinda wish I went for the upgraded version with wifi built in but this will be fine until I get the homebase. The media could not be loaded.The product was easy to install and easy to set up on the app. You will need a eufy Wi-Fi bridge to lock and unlock when you are away. And it does work with Alexa to make things easier. I’d rather easily install new batteries then have to charge it with a battery backup like other models. The fingerprint works great once I figured out how to do it correctly. I roll my finger from right to left and it reads every time. You can always use the punch code too, and use the key if needed.
