I have two Ring doorbells in my home. However, for my backyard, I wanted to check the Eufy offering since it doesn't require a subscription to have similar functionality.The installation is very easy and is a similar process to Ring's Floodlight Cam. I wasn’t honestly sure what to expect when I first got it, but it has exceeded all my expectations.The installation is very straightforward and easy, which took 10 minutes. You can select normal bright flood lights (3 different colors from bright white to warmer yellow). You can also adjust how bright from lowest setting, which still gives off great light, all the way to full power which is VERY bright. You can see it down the block from your street. Again, it’s fully customizable. You can set the light as a custom RGB color, and if it detects motion/movement etc, it will switch from that RGB to the flood light, and you can select how long you want the flood light to stay on. You can have stock or custom themes with changing colors, different modes like ‘blink’ or ‘breathe’. You can have that as a manual setting or as part of a schedule like sunset to sunrise, or a custom timeframe. Again, you can select a single RGB color, or you can select a stock theme, or create your own. There is also a 2-way talk ability, as well as a panic/siren that has a very loud alarm on it if you need it in an emergency. You can take a screen shot in the app of the video, as well as a live video option. Ton of options on this product.As part of the motion, you can fine tune the settings so it triggers on all motion, or only human, also you can set custom activity zones to suit your needs. Even when it was snowing, I never got false alerts for movement. I was able to tweak my settings for this. You are able to pause notifications for however long you want/need as well so it’s not alerting you non-stop if there’s movement in front of the camera like kids playing or working in the yard etc.As far as weather impacts, this light and camera worked flawlessly in -35F temps for several days in a row. I never had any issue, no blips etc. in the cold and/or snow. This is a solid and customizable unit that is also fun to use and play with. Eufy did an awesome job!!

I ordered two of this wall light cameras expecting I would probably return them since I already have cameras on eaves covering my front and nice lights on garage front wall. However, it turned out these are my favorite cameras now, mainly due to its unique design and my perfect use situation. The main thing prevents me giving it 5 stars is that there is no option to record continuously. Since it's powered with 120V power source, there is no reason it can not be done through firmware update. Will definitely update it to 5 star if this feature is added.

It's straightforward to install, gives great picture with a very wide FOV, and the lights are bright enough for security.The main functionality of this camera comes from the fact that it's hardwired into where a light fixture currently is on your house. So if you have en exterior light, you can easily replace it with this camera. The installation guide is very easy to follow, and wiring the camera is as simple as attaching three wires into the harness. If you've ever replaced a light fixture or power outlet in your home, you'll have no trouble installing this camera.The picture quality is quite good. The image quality is excellent, it captures a very wide space, and it stores footage locally on an SD card so there is no subscription required. Add in the fact that it's easily wired into an existing light fixture and you've got an excellent camera. I'm very pleased with its performance so far.
So I'm all in on the Eufy ecosystem. This is my 2nd S100 and I realize the installation needs to be better. Eufy says don't use the crossbars that most lights would use to attach the electrical box. They want to you directly drill into the wall, the problem with this is their mounting bracket is barely larger than your electrical box. Unless Bob Villa installed your outside electrical I can almost guarantee its not a perfect cut between the electrical box and the wall, filled in with foam or insulation so you won't be able to drill into anything. This could be solved by providing a bracket which I had to hack together myself.Second issue, why are the screws to attach the unit to the bracket so small. I purchased this because it provides both a camera and light solution in one, without being a flood light. I like the adjustable light features and that individuals don’t realize it’s a camera. I wish the camera was a higher resolution, but it serves its purpose. The AI functionality (with HomeBase) is not as impressive as advertised —For example, I don’t need to be notified when I am walking up to the house; it should be intelligent enough for that at least. All in all, I’m pleased with the purchase.
Very easy to install and set up. I now have two of them for the back side of my house and they work great. I found a YT video that helped with the wiring installation. The first one took me a bit longer. The second one I did in about 10 minutes.I replaced dusk-to-dawn lightbulbs and the fact this has a dusk-to-dawn setting (based on your location) is great. The light settings feature are nice and it provides plenty of visibility to a side with no other lights within 50 yards of the back of my house.Camera is clear. The motion detection setting is solid. I'm definitely becoming a big eufy fan. No monitoring fees is a big plus for me. I like that I can do it all on my own. I started with a doorbell and now I'm sold on their products.

The setup was easy, but 2 of the 3 I had to reconnect to the WiFi 3 or 4 times before it took. Mounting to brick sucks, you have to tighten and loosen until the unti sits flush/flat into the bracket. The 2 small screws used to secure the unit are a nightmare to install if your mount is not flush/flat. The RGB lighting, testing the different colors I have found that true GREEN and RED are impossible. The color on your app is nto the color you get from the RGBs. Last, this unit only supports the newer eufy Base 3. I have the eufy Base 2 which eufy is slowly phasing out so you have to buy the Base 3.

It appears that they have set planned obsolescence on their devices for them to start failing as soon as the warranty is over. I have contacted them multiple times about multiple devices that failed 13 to 14 months and they will not do anything. I even asked if I could return them for a small amount off of a new, upgraded version and they said no. The AI makes this camera move all over the place instead of where the person is moving. There is water in the dome of the dome camera. The solar panels have deglazed and are no longer functioning, the vacuum just stopped working. I have purchased 6 of these and about 25 other cameras from eufy and I have had to replace 7 of them at 13 to 15 months. I have called to try to work something out with eufy and they just said no. I asked for a discount on new ones and no again. I will never purchase another Anker/eufy device again. They are not worth the price long term. Their AI is horrible and all the outdoor cameras leak water and anything solar delaminates and becomes unusable.
