The mounting screws are not suitable for all surfaces. Mine were loose and almost fell. The AI face recognition is still asking if it's me after 20+ examples. Doesn't make a list of my family faces. Worst of all, takes to long to actually sense someone. I've walked 20m+ before it does and I'm on the highest setting. PLESAE Eufy, fix this in the next update. Oh yes, the car and pet recognition does not do what is promised.

Good picture, it alarms. BUT...... still have to pay for cloud storage, they like to say its free but its not. So here is the BIG PROBLEM! It has Geofencing, well thats great, so it won't alarm or record at night when you are sleeping. But it does have Scheduling, BUT THEY NEED TO INCORPORATE THE TWO TOGETHER!!!! I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO CHANGE IT EVERY Fu!@KING TIME I GO OUT!!!! THIS IS NOT OK!!! THIS NOT A CHEAP SETUP SO SORT IT OUT!!!

I researched quite a bit till I decided on the Eufy Cam3C. I liked the 4K resolution and the ability to expand the hard drive for storage of videos. I liked the fact that I don't have to have a subscription service to store and access my videos. The whole set up was pretty easy and straight forward. The video quality is nice and the detection and notification occurs relatively quickly. One problem that Eufy needs to work on is QCing its app. Under Security Settings, Leaving Delay, it says "If you active a security mode....". I think what you mean is activate, not active.

Easy to set up, enjoy the wireless aspect of the cameras, image quality is great, and seems to be reliable. Only downside so far is the height restriction for motion detection to work; I have a camera at a window on the main (second) floor of my home that looks down on the porch directly outside as well as the driveway on the ground level. The camera is unable to detect any motion on the driveway, even large vehicles parking directly beneath the porch. If the motion detection was more effective, this would be a phenomenal product.
I bought this after checking YouTube reviews. So the units those reviewers used worked very well and sent motion notifications and recorded video, however the unit I purchased didn’t do neither. After playing with it for two days on almost all settings I contacted the support and they asked me to check local network firewalls, reset the unit, turn off AI settings etc which I did but the unit never recorded motion nor sent notifications even after those changes. Later I returned this product and bought Eufy 2C older model which worked right away. So I was quite disappointed as it did stream high definition video which were so clear and could easily see faces and number plates dozen meters away. This isn’t really breaking news but people have found a huge flaw where Eufy is saying nothing goes to the cloud but that’s not accurate. Photos,account data, and facial recognition data are being sent up to their cloud. Also you can view live streams of cameras that aren’t yours using vlc player. None of this stuff is encrypted so avoid Eufy like the plague.
I've 2 sets of the 2C systems on my farm and just purchased another. I wonder if any criticism of these system is down to user error from dumb easily frustrated people. It has 15 gigs of storage!! enough for 2-3 months of surveillance storage, simply delete a few weeks worth to free up more storage space - basic stuff. NO CLOUD STORAGE REQUIRED EVER. Also a similar setting to Geofencing can be customized in the options of the security settings. From your phone you can manually turn on the alarm and lights from anywhere - see photos attached. Had a massive amount of trouble trying to get the base station to connect to the internet, would not auto connect or even with the QR code. Took 2 goes to connect via serial number, very hard to read and make out some of the letters or numbers. Got it going, and it won't update, it stalls at 98% even after an hour, with fast fibre connection. Returning it. I am tech smart but not going to go through with online support. If it can't be made to work easily then its not fit for purpose.
Works excellently as a system. Care needed with placement of cameras as range for picking up and recoding a human is 2 to 3 metres. This range is affected significantly by backlight to the subject .ie someone coming out of bright light onto a verandah or under an awning. I would like to be able to run the spotlight during the day to help resolve this issue. Unfortunately this is not possible. Easy setup and very usable app to control system.
Buy this if you want to waste your money and get no support from the retailer or Eufy. Half the time it wont let me on the app to view or it doesn't pick up people on the property right in front of camera when on motion detection. getting told to turn it off and on as it fix is a ridiculous fix. I wont even sell this product to some poor unsuspecting victim to get some money back because its so terrible. Super disappointed!!!!!!!!
