This was recommended by my vet for my large rough collieits a high quality product that keeps his digestive tract calm, makes for good stool in smaller amountsthan cheap food . also good for his teeth and his coat is great no skin issues. Only wish the bags would stopgetting smaller and the price less. but good value overall.

This is just one of many, many deliveries from Chewy for several of our pets, past and present. We’ve always had outstanding service from Chewy for deliveries and customer service in generals. Would definitely recommevd them! Also, specific to Eukanuba, we’ve been feeding this brand of food to our dogs since 1999, when we got our first puppy, a German Shepherd. She came to us on Eukanuba for puppies, we transitioned her to Eukanuba for large breeds, and have had all our dogs on Eukanuba since. They’ve all had very long, healthy lives.

I've finally found that this is the one food that both of our boxers can eat without any stomach upset and they are generally happy about eating. I had been buying it at a store near us until I realized Chewy had the 40lb bag size, which made more sense when it came to price. So, I purchased the 40lb bag and when it arrived, I noticed that the bag of food was extremely hot. Once I opened the bag, it seemed like it was going to be okay. Fast forward to three days of feeding it, one of our dogs started to display lethargy and dragging his back legs. He didn't want to eat the new kibble from the recently opened bag. Our other pup wasn't nearly as interested in the food either and he is the one that will eat any food that is out. Both of our dogs love this flavor and generally are excited about getting fed, but not with this bag. I decided to go to our local store and purchase another 30lb bag from them. Since doing that, both of our pups are eating again and the one that has been dragging his legs and was super lethargic has made a turn for the better and is now up and moving normally again after just two days of eating the food from the new bag. I am not sure if the bag we ordered from Chewy just got too hot in transit and went rancid, or if it was a bad batch. The only thing we could visibly see wrong with the kibble in the bad bag was that it was lighter and drier looking than the good bag we purchased at the store near us. I'm giving it a two-star rating because Eukanuba is a good brand and I would recommend it. Just not sure what happened with this bag.

I have been buying Eukanuba dog food for 30 years!
4 February 2024

I have fed my dogs Eukanuba for over 30 years. Within the last few years, availability became and issue and the formula I used to buy became unavailable. I started buying another brand and mixing it 50/50 with Eukanuba. I recently switched back to 100% Eukanuba and noticed an immediate change in my dogs stools (smaller and more dense) which I assume relates to less fillers. Although the price has increased dramatically, I will likely stick with the Eukanuba.

My Golden Retreiver loves the Eukanuba Adult Large Breed Dry Dog Food
18 January 2024

Lakeshore, our female golden retriever, loves her Euranuba food. Lakeshore gobbles it down at meal time and we also use the kibble for little treats. This food helps to keep her weight at a good level, healthy and energetic. As an extra bonus, the volume of her poop is also on the smaller side.

My doggy seems to like it
29 May 2024

Switched my golden retriever puppy to this kibble at 15mo when he graduated from Royal Canin Maxi Puppy. He seems to like the taste ok although he prefers the raw food we give him to any kibble! Chose Eukanuba as it was the most affordable food I could find that meets the WSAVA nutrition guidelines.I've noticed since we switched to this that his coat has become softer and also his recurrent ear infection seems to have cleared up - I think there must have been something in the RC kibble that didn't agree with his ears.

Positive this food causes nutrient deficiency.
13 January 2021

I have a Shiloh Shepherd and an Alaskan Malamute. They were previously eating Wellness brand and I switched to this thinking it would be just as good. After a few days, my female Malamute’s coat started looking very rough. (It’s winter and she was losing huge clumps of hair which is very abnormal for her, especially this time of year.) she has lost all of her hair from her stomach now starting up her back and the skin underneath is very dry and flaky. My male Shiloh is now starting to shed and has dry skin in the same area she does. My first thought was that they somehow contracted mange, but we have a fenced in yard and they haven’t been around any other animals and neither of them have any hallmark signs of mange other than the hair loss and flaky skin. They aren’t itching a lot. We have a litter of 9 puppies, and they are all eating Wellness brand, and their skin is perfectly intact, so my only thought is that this brand is causing them both to be nutrient deficient. They both go to the vet tomorrow. I already switched them back to Wellness this morning.

My briard got thyroid cancer and I wanted her off carbs so switched to Orijen, which they loved. It’s loaded with meat and no fillers. However, there was too much protein for a non working dog and caused pancreatitis. This has 1/2 the protein but is working well for her and she’s not unhappy with it. However, my cat loves it and is vomiting it up. Not sure how to stop that..zz

Way too expensive for the ingredients
19 August 2024

Hey so the second ingredient is corn and the third is chicken by-product meal. Those are super cheap ingredients. And corn is terrible for dogs and by-product meals of any sort are never the best. I’m blown away by the price of this food when there are way cheaper brands for half, if not less, of this price and some way better options for kibble. But honestly if you have the money to be buying this food, maybe consider a raw food diet.
