For the heavy bag is definitely good I didn’t add weights on it. But I did add sand bags all around it and it holds very well and that’s all I had at the moment is sand bags. But as for the speed bag it can be better I ended up changing the swivel and put the title Lightning-Fast Super Swivel and change the speed bag and went with title Gyro Balanced. As soon as I changed it the platform broke right off I guess from hitting it so hard. So I ended up going to Home Depot and picked up a 24 inch round wood and installed it on and now it’s holding up very well I added one sand bag on top of the platform and it still shakes a little but it will do for now until I figure something else out. But I love it for the heavy bag

This happened three or four times over the course of a week, but now all the bolts are tight and there's no squeaking. I am going to have to get some weights to weigh it down because it rocks a little if i hit my 100lb bag with all my strength. If i didn't live in a second floor apartment, the sound would be negligible. I'm a woman with a decently powerful punch. If I had the strength of a well built man, it would be significantly louder I'm sure. But the movement of the stand isn't a problem of the bag, as some users seem to think; it's a problem of physics. The only way to avoid needing to weigh down a heavy bag is to bolt it to the floor, hang it from the ceiling, or hit it like a 7 year old.

This is our second purchase of this kit with stand and bag. We bought the first while staying with my father-in-law for the shut down. He liked it so much, we left it there and bought another for us back at home. The kit is a good price, the product is durable and can take a beating. 3 of the 4 of us using the first purchase are black belts. Now while this is not the quality or size we train with at our studio, it is great for working out and keeping in shape at home. The only two issues I have are the gloves that come with the kit are an absolute joke. They offer no support and are frankly dangerous to use in my opinion. And with both kits we had shipping issues. Great Stand for the price!
24 March 2023

Great stand for a 100lb plus bag we got. Needed something that would hold up to all the training we do on there and this one came well recommended. It does require some weights to be put on the holders if you are going to be doing heavy workouts like I do, but overall I'd say its a great bag stand for the money. Only thing I'd be cautious of is kicking. The side bars are pretty close so sometimes I have come close to hitting my foot on it. Aside from that, if you are only using it to train with punching, it's a perfect bag stand.

Height in description is wrong!
4 July 2022

Overall I'm happy with it. It was easy to put together and seems pretty sturdy. I'll put some weights on it to keep it planted but that's expected. Be for warned though! The description and the box both say it's 84" high it isn't. It's 87" from top to bottom with a 60lb bag on it. Wouldn't be a big deal except I have an acoustic ceiling that is 86" . Had to remove a ceiling tile to make it fit. Other than I'm pretty happy with it

Not happy.

I was able to put this together in under an hour. All the pieces were there and the hardware came nicely packaged and labeled. Even included the tools needed. The tightening of the screws is honestly what took the most time. Stand is much lighter than I was anticipating, so like other reviews stated it does move when you throw harder punches against the bag. I'm going to invest in sand bags to weigh it down. Actual weights to put on the pegs are far to expensive. When the bag is swinging it constantly hits the back pole which is so obnoxious. My biggest issue was one of the pieces was bent so I had to hammer it from the inside so it would form somewhat of the circle it was supposed to be so I could fit it in the other metal tube. My biggest issue was one of the pieces was bent so I had to hammer it from the inside so it would form somewhat of the circle it was supposed to be so I could fit it in the other metal tube. I had to shove it down because it was still not formed properly. As I was trying to do so, the 2 metal tubes that I was trying to fit together ended up smashing down into place and in the process it pinched and sliced my finger open. I was so mad and almost had to get stitches. For the price I paid for this, I should not have had to fix bent piece's and then injure myself in the process. Granted, I could have just returned the stand, but It would have been a pain to try and box all the pieces up and try to return it. I don't have a vehicle and it would have been a huge ordeal to try and return it. That's why I just fixed the bent piece on my own. To make a long story short, I am disappointed in this product, and I wouldn't recommend it. I can at least punch my bag now, but I don't think this is worth the money at all. Everlast is usually a decent brand, but not with this.

Solid Stand - Plus 3 Hacks to Make it Better
6 February 2018

This is a solid stand, well-made and well-designed. First, to address the negative reviews that say the parts don't align, I don't believe that is true. The truth is, if you put this stand together in the wrong order, without reading the directions, it will appear as if the parts don't align properly. That happened to me when I tried to put this together for my kids in a rush on Christmas Eve. However, when I went back and read the directions, and then put this together in the right order, the parts aligned perfectly - no new holes needed to be drilled. Second, here are three hacks I use to make this stand better. (1) I use 50-lb. sand bags instead of weight plates - they're much cheaper and don't take up as much floor space as the wide weight plates. (2) I like to think I'm a decent puncher, and when I punched the heavy bag straight on, the heavy bag kept crashing into the stand, causing the whole stand to slide like a dogsled. Mine is in a garage, but if you're on carpet, this might not be as big of a problem. However, I attached some bungee cords to the bottom of the bag and attached them to the weight pegs (under the big foam pads that are stuck on the weight pegs), and now the bungees prevent the heavy bag from crashing into the stand too hard. (3) For the speed bag platform, you have to understand that you're not getting a tip-top speed bag platform - you get what you pay for. The swivel is not the best swivel - it's a ball-type swivel, not a cotter-pin type of swivel. And the platform is not the best-anchored platform. However, you can do some little things to make it pretty darn good. (A) Attach the speed bag to the swivel using the smallest quick link you can find (I use a really small aluminum one of the screw-in type). Using the smaller quick link vs. a larger one (such as the larger spring snap link that was included in the box), makes the speed bag a LOT faster. (B) Because you're using a small quick link, you have to pick a speed bag with a loop that's not very wide - otherwise, the bag won't fit on the quick link. I use the Everlast leather speed bag, as opposed to the Everlast plastic-y Everhide one that has a loop that's too wide. Other brands will work fine, just make sure the loop is not too wide. (C) The platform is anchored with only one metal bar that extends in the direction of the stand. So, if you punch the speed bag 90-degrees to this angle, the platform vibrates a lot and slows the speed bag down to a marshmallow pace. But, if you punch in the main direction of the stand, or within 20 degrees or so, the platform is well-anchored, and the speed bag is pretty fast. So, you can just count on punching in one direction, or you can try to add some weights (such as a sand bag) on top to make the speed bag platform more stable. But I wouldn't go too heavy, as I'm not sure the speed bag platform is built for really heavy weights on top of it.

Solid, Very Well Made Equipment!
29 March 2023

This stand is solid and well made. It did take about 45 minutes to put up but it came with everything needed to do it. Right now it holds a 40 lb bag without added weights to the bottom. I would say if you do anything heavier, to definitely add weights. I did have to purchase a punching bag chain to lower the bag. Something to consider if you're purchasing for a youth.

Stand works but missing parts
17 January 2022

We got this stand because of the multiple functions in an effort to save on room, we got it as a gift. The product was easy to put together and so long as you aren't a really hard hitter is pretty stable. The reason I am giving 2 stars was it was missing parts all of which go to the speed bag portion. The hardware to connect the round board to the metal arm were missing (2 M8x75 bolts, 2 M8 nylon nuts, and 2 M8 washers), as were the pop pin and knob bolt to adjust the height of the metal arm. The logo plate above the bag was also missing. I called customer support and was told, "I apologize, but our warranty policy does not cover gifted items. Parts never made it into the box and I have to pay for them, that sucks. Moral is always get a receipt, fine guess that is my mistake, buyer beware and all that. I will order the pop pin and knob bolt since I don't know what size they are and can't get them elsewhere. I will get the hardware from a local place. I won't be needing the logo plate, or the stickers on the product either.

Unhappy
13 May 2022

I lost a bolt the second day of use due to the cheap recycle wood they used for the speed bag board on this stand easily breaking, i nearly lost an eye! Ive been boxing 13 years and never have i used a punching bag set this unworthy, i feel like i wasted 60$ on the speed bag set after this. The only thing this set is good for is the punching bag and that's barely even satisfactory due to the nut and bolt always coming loose, the chain for the punching bag is so long i cannot even hit the firm, heavy, hard part of the punching bag either. Im very unsatisfied and very unhappy with this equipment.
