Great quick service and delivery from FFX. Fiddle to put together but actually ok if you use the you tube video. Straight forward to set up accurate fence and guard. Main gripe is the big gap around the blade so that thin strips quickly fill up the blade housing and you have to turn machine over to take guard off and empty (a lot) of wood! Safety issue and fire risk (you can’t roll blade down due to the wood blocking the blade underneath!) I have purchased a zero clearance 3D printed insert from eBay which is perfect and solves this issue! Also niggle is the small stop button - again brought a large emergency stop paddle so you can just turn off quickly and safely without looking - this should be a standard safety feature . It has been great otherwise. Love the ... MoreGreat quick service and delivery from FFX. Fiddle to put together but actually ok if you use the you tube video. It would be good to have a brake on the wheels as it can roll when you are using it.

I bought this as an upgrade from my very small table saw, and this really is leagues ahead. It seems to be the most highly praised of this size of table saw, and I can see why.Assembling the stand did take a while and I made a few false starts before getting it right. The video on the Evolution website was a great help especially with the more ambiguous parts of the instruction manual.Expanded polystyrene packing is a bit disappointing but I hope the company will move away from this in time. The whole thing feels very solid and stable, and the first few cuts using the multi-material blade were very satisfying and like a hot knife through butter. I haven't used the fine wood blade yet so I can't comment on that.A 3 year warranty is good, and I look forward to many ... I’m not a pro, but I do appreciate quality tools. This saw has raised my game. The included blade is as tough as they say! Straight through nails, no drama. Best part of it, is the blade is still perfect! Anything will have a go at cutting a nail. Not every thing will come out of it fine though.Well built tool. Solid and accurate. The adjustments to make the table wider are an incredible asset. I managed to cut a sheet of mdf and make a full door frame and architrave out of it.Rip fence is solid and gives confidence in your cut. The mitre gauge is spot on too. I did find myself stubbornly cutting angles on a table saw that I should’ve used the mitre saw for! But I did it all the same.I changed to the 60 tooth for the mdf, just for a neater finish. I’ll be honest ... MoreI’m not a pro, but I do appreciate quality tools. This saw has raised my game. The included blade is as tough as they say! Straight through nails, no drama. I’ll be honest though, the beast disk doesn’t produce a shabby finish at all!All in all, I’d recommend it. I was torn between spending this amount on a saw or just getting a cheaper one (again). No regrets at all. Press the buy it now button!Ordered direct from Evolution. Outstanding customer service! Even managed to sort my screw up with the order.

Put together and used over the last weekend. The stand is fiddly to assemble but the video guide was a great help and it took less than an hour. The saw itself is excellent. Checked everything and it was set up perfect straight out of the box. As everyone says a little wiggle on the mitre guide but lock it in the sliding bed and it's fine. Ripped 3" pine nice square and straight. And cross cuts with little or no tear out. Bought as an upgrade from an einhell and the quality difference is like chalk and cheese. For the price this is a brilliant piece of kit.
I have used the Table Saw a few times now and it’s great. However I really don’t understand why they don’t factory fit a soft start to it.Once you have it set up and use it for the 1st time it BANGS into life and trips out the main fuse as it’s such an instant draw of power, it renders the saw unusable.Purchased a soft start switch and fitted in minutes. It now works brilliantly with no power issues. The Chop Saw I have (same make) does have the Soft Start so come on Evolution get your act together and factory fit a Soft Start to this great table saw.
Purchased for use in my garden workshop as a hobby tool. My first table saw. Price was good, instructions all made sense (apart from building the stand, but the online video made it all super clear). Build quality seems to be good so far. Only gripe is that the bolts for the right hand sliding extension were loose and two had fallen out and were a pig to find in all the packaging (poor QC) in this case. Eventually got the bolts affixed, once I found the square, threaded washers inside the guide runners. Used to cut down full sheets of 18mm ply easy enough, and also to trim and square up old pieces of cabinets for re-use, and finally making 2.4m long 45deg cut french cleat rails. Overall, very happy with it especially at the price. Only suggestion…..put the link to ... MorePurchased for use in my garden workshop as a hobby tool. My first table saw. I just got this table saw a few days ago but I started a new project with it. I am very happy with the results I am getting with this one. For the price you just can't beat it. The assembly was a bit of a pain but I finally got it together and did a setup on it. The blade is ok but not the greatest I replaced the blade about halfway through the project. I am saving it for metal or plastic to use it again. The fence I was worried about but I checked it out very close and found it to be very accurate. It lines up square to the blade, the blade squared up to the tabletop with no problems. Oh man was I very happy to find the right side of the top moves and it glides so good it is like having a build in sled. (Have not had time to build one yet.) This saw just keeps ... This saw just keeps making me more excited to use it. I think I could not have found one that I like any more than this one. I will be telling all that I know how great this saw is. The Evolution Rage5-s is the one to beat it set a very high standard for this price range. I am going buy more of the Evolution products as I need to replace any that I have now.
To begin, the included assembly instructions are horrible. It shows only partial parts positioning with difficult to understand directions for assembly It took three or four tries before I finally got it assembled correctly. I have yet to find any instructions on how to affix the blade cover assembly to saw. I assume that it attaches to the hole in the back of the splitter but, if that is the case, the blade will extend unnecessarily high above the plastic table top. It is also a little difficult to get the blade perpendicular to the table with only two hands. I have only used it to cut 2" X 4" softwoods (redwood and pine) and the motor didn't bog down. So, that is positive. It'll be interesting to see how it works with hardwoods. Overall, for the price, I guess it ... MoreTo begin, the included assembly instructions are horrible. This saw is OK but not great. The blade gaurd is a complete joke and really can't be used for anything thicker then 1in because the huge nut on the side which is right in the way. The fence is also pretty cheesy and doesn't line true easily. After purchasing this I see a lot of others for the same price have rack and pinion fences which are much better. The blade was fairly square but I did have to adjust a little. All in all it is not a bad saw it's just not that great. With a new quality blade it does cut well however if you need true cuts you will have to adjust the fence every single time. The push stick is probably cool and I use it for a template to make softwood push sticks which are much safer. I would not use the plastic push stick for anything else as ... Maybe I am being to hard on this cheap little saw as I really didn't expect much more then what I got but I wish I would had done a little more research before just rushing the purchase.
I ordered directly from Evolution Store. A competitive price and delivered very quickly. Sadly two parts were missing from the box. Credit to Evolution SAV, the parts arrived within two days with a very apologetic letter. The instruction manual to put the saw together is the worst I have ever seen. It was more useful just using the picture on the box. Having said this, the saw is an excellent product and I would recommend it to DIYer or professional. The multi material blade is extremely useful. I also have an Evolution chop saw which has given excellent service for several years and I would certainly consider other Evolution products.
