Exo Terra Reptile Fountain

The Exo Terra Reptile Fountain is a unique water dish that supplies your reptiles and amphibians with a continuous supply of fresh, clean, aerated drinking water. Many reptiles do not recognise stagnant water as a source of drinking water. The Reptile Fountains constant movement of water tumbling down from the rock, encourages reptiles to drink more, keeping them healthy and hydrated. The continuously flowing water raises humidity levels in the terrarium. The stable and compact design make it easy to install and difficult to tip over. The Exo Terra Reptile Fountain is easy-to-maintain, as it consists of only two pieces that can easily be dismantled for cleaning purposes. An Exo Terra Repti Flo pump is included to provide water circulation. As a safety measure, for smaller species, small stones or gravel may be added. Tap water should be treated with Aquatize to remove chlorine and heavy metals. Adding Biotize will help to keep the water cleaner longer, as well as promoting necessary beneficial bacteria and reducing odors associated with decaying waste.

This is a perfect size for my Steppe Runner Lizards. They were not drinking out of a bowl in thier habitat so I searched for a small moving water waterfall and came upon this one. perfect size for my exo terra and after being in the habitat for 30 minutes they found the water source and all three were sitting up to it drinking water. I'm so thrilled. no noise and easy clean everyday but nothing but the best for my babies. Great purchase!

Junk - Exo Terra should be ashamed and stick to terrariums

This item is poorly made and was ill-conceived falls apart and does not fit together properly, spits water all over tank and if that's not the worst the pump gives out !!! I brought 2 of these hoping that I just got a bad unit..... NO such luck. SAVE YOUR MONEY this is a complete waste !!!

Makes a lot of noise and pump burned out within a month.

the bowl doesn't hold enough water so the water will evaporate out dry if you don't add water every day. Pump makes a lot of noise. Needs a bigger amount of water, a larger bowl perhaps.

This product did not come with instructions. It was like the pieces did not fit together. I could not get it to work. Very disappointed.

Review of Exo Terra Reptile Fountain Water Dish With Pump
4 June 2020

Good fountain, gives out plenty of water and you can change the rate at which it comes out if you don't mind a little work to do so, cleaning out the motor is fairly easy just so long as you have a can of air to get you out of those little spaces in the mechanism that can suffer from build-up. Looks very nice too and fits in with most rocky style decoration. The paint on the inside of the bowl does come off quite easily and maybe best just removing it all together when you receive it as it's just water and a cloth are needed and you won't see the inside of the bowl anyway while the rock and motor are centred. All in all its a great little fountain and I would recommend it to anyone that has a lizard that needs/prefers running water as a way of keeping them watered.

Underwhelming

Came broken/inoperable If it came useable, I could rate it's value But wrong hose length, poor pump power/pump itself, awkward/cockeyed fit All just underwhelming for what was supposed to be in my community lizard tank, guess I'll stick to water bowls.

Very nice little fountain. You just have to remember the water reservoir is small so it has to be filled regularly. The pump is fairly quiet. My only issue is the power cord is pretty big, which makes it hard to conceal in a naturalistic vivarium. My frilled dragon Dangle quickly learned how to drink from it. He laid across it at first, causing the water flow to run down his body and off his tail into the soil. So you really need to watch the water level. Overall its quite handy as they cant soil the water supply.
