The cans are super easy to open. The smell is a bit strong and there is a lot of liquid in the cans. The paté is pretty chunky and was just sitting in the liquid. My cat is VERY food motivated but has a sensitive tummy. He loves to eat but will throw up most things. If I have to tell you anything, my cat enjoyed this wet food. We started with a small amount but he did throw this wet food up pretty quickly after he ate it.

My kitty loves this flavor, but she has been vomiting a lot lately. I am under the belief that she is allergic to salmon, or perhaps something in the salmon processing (or the salmon itself) is causing this. I have tried giving her other brands of salmon flavored (wet) cat food, but the vomiting continues. Aside from trout, she is not fond of any other fish flavor and she hates chicken, beef, turkey, duck, rabbit, etc., so Fancy Feast Flaked Trout Feast and Sheba Trout (cuts) are rotated as part of her regular diet with a side portion of Purina Cat Chow Sensitive Stomach & Skin (dry cat food) which she seems okay with. So far, she is vomiting much less so maybe I'm on the right track.

Our cats enjoy a mix of dry and canned food in their daily meals, and switching to these smaller cans has been a fantastic decision. Unlike the larger cans, we no longer have to deal with refrigerated leftovers or wasted food. The size is perfect for dividing among our cats, ensuring nothing goes to waste. They absolutely love the food and come running as soon as they hear the lid pop open. The smooth pâté with gravy is quickly becoming a household favorite.

My cat really likes this food. I usually give hard food to my cat because he would throw up anytime I gave wet food. He hasn’t thrown up this food yet and I’ve given it to him 3 times already. The cans are smaller but plenty for a meal. They smell terrible but wet food usually does smell haha. This is always something to try out with your feline friends. Very lightweight pack and doesn’t take up a lot of room when storing the product.
I sometimes give the non pates with gravy as a treat. They like them. But my cats seem to like the gravy better than the soft food they contain. So, I prefer to buy pates. This is a nice combination of pate and gravy for my cats. It should help them with hydration as they hardly drink water. Both of them love this food and they eat it all and at a much quicker pace than their other foods. In fact, one of my cats licks the bowl completely clean with this food. They eat this food as if I haven’t fed them. Even though I provide this new food at the end of the day and after they both had a decent amount of their regular food. Another nice thing about this food is that they didn’t have any diarrhea from new food. I think this is a nice addition and treat to their current food regime.
My cat Sushi is definitely a fish lover, and we like to switch up the flavors of his canned food (we give both kibble and wet food since most cats mainly rely on their food for hydration.) He's a big fan of Fancy Feast, so we were excited to give this can a try, and he loved it! It comes more like a paté, and our picky little boy prefers his wet food to be more of the primavera consistency, but we broke it apart a bit and he happily chowed down on it!This can (and Fancy Feast in general) doesnt have that nasty canned pet food smell that some other companies have, and it actually smelled pretty good for cat food! On top of that, the ingredient list seems pretty well balanced!
My cat, Baine, is pretty picky when it comes to wet cat food, but he really seems to enjoy the gravy lovers salmon feast. He likes to lick the sauce all up and then does a good job eating all of the pate. It doesnt smell too bad for being cat food and its not too messy. Being a flat faced cat, the food is easy for him to eat. I like knowing he is getting extra moisture in his diet. He makes sure to remind me when it's time for his snack. Since his bowl is usually licked clean, I would say he enjoys this food. Other wet foods tried in the past often get left in the bowl going to waste, but not this food from Purina. I appreciate that the food has no preservatives or colors.
We have a brand of soft food we typically buy and mostly stick to because one of our cats has a sensitive stomach and one other is very picky. I decided to give this a shot anyway. None of our brood of five will eat any soft food that isn't pate so I knew better than to get anything different. I grabbed some cans and went about serving them. I was not at all hopeful that our super picky cat would eat this, but he devoured it. Color me shocked! Our sensitive stomach kitty ate hers and didn't have any digestive issues so far. The rest will eat anything but they still ate it with gusto. It is pate but also has a nice bit of gravy that makes this really soft and easy to scoop. Our senior cat has a few missing teeth and the softness and texture made it simple for her to ... MoreWe have a brand of soft food we typically buy and mostly stick to because one of our cats has a sensitive stomach and one other is very picky. Our senior cat has a few missing teeth and the softness and texture made it simple for her to consume. It has a typical soft cat food scent but isn't overpowering or offensive. I can't attest to the flavor, but considering how quickly they all ate it up, I can only assume it's really good. The ingredients start off with fish broth, salmon and chicken, so that's good. It's 82 kcal per can and the feeding instructions are 1 can per 3 pounds of body weight daily and can be fed twice per day. We still give kibble so they only get fed soft food once a day.The only drawback for me is the fact that these are 3 ounce sized cans and we typically buy 5 ounce cans as we can split those up and save some money. Aside from that, I'd definitely buy this again with how enthusiastic our cats were at breakfast.
First, the Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Beef flavor was changed and now the Gravy Lovers Salmon flavor has changed. My tuxedo cat Tasha will no longer eat either flavor. With my last G.L. Salmon case, you can tell the color is different. It almost looked spoiled. I opened 2 cans just to make sure.I added some to a bit left from a can from a previous shipment. The color difference is striking. My cat sniffed it and immediately walked away. I even tried putting a bisque topper on it that she likes, but that didn’t even work. Now I am left with only 1 Fancy Feast flavor she will tolerate- the Wild Salmon Florentine. That will probably be the next to be changed. I feed my cat dry food but also about 1/2 a small can of wet food daily. No. But no daily wet cat food is worth the high prices and it doesn't look to get better. If you have multi indoor cats like I do you hold on to buy what you can as you watch their food cost more than your food and not be available regularly. .The culprit? People are changing their life styles. That is changing meat production and processing. That is making the meat for cat food manifacturers scarce . Cat industries are trying to change to a different kind of kibble (yes more costly) and there is a fresh grade away from both kibble and canned wet food also more costly. So America seems to slowly being pushed to dry kibble only even for their indoor cats. For now. So rating this item ? I buy what I can when I can, And they eat some of it. some of the time.
