This is the perfect layout tape if you are looking for a metric measuring tape. Because it is flat, the tape lays flush with the work so it makes marking out measurements a breeze. I sort of thought the pencil sharpener was a little corny, until I was marking things my lead broke. Instead of having to go back into the garage to sharpen the pencil I just used the one on the tape and was back in business... If I had to make a complaint, it would be that the tape return speed is a little too fast, especially for a flat tape which can bind and bend easily. One last thing, the clip is removable which makes the tape nice a compact. I will recommend this brand!
