A good toy for building motor skills. It's difficult atm for my 9mo but that's the whole point! My 9mo is attracted to the Inny Bin and attempts to grab pieces. I was surprised my 4yo took to it. It was very easy for him to grab pieces of course but he started using it in his imaginative play which was surprising.

Allows one-year-old the challenge of figuring out how to put items into the box by stretching the elastic bands apart. Such joy with each success. So much fun watching our Birthday Boy discover his hand and wrist could "break through" the plane of the side of the box. The wonder on his face is so much fun to watch. He has played with this toy a lot since he received it four days ago. He is busy putting lots of objects into the bin and is just starting to discover that he can pull them out again. His play is informally teaching him spatial relations. For example, he had a flat disc and had to discover it needed to be held perpendicular to the side of the cube to easily be put into the box. So much fun!

I bought the innybin for my one year old. I figure it would be a better version of a shape sorter that a one year old could handle. I like the quality of the materials. The pieces are a hard plastic and have different textures to them. The bungee cords are cloth-like material similar to elastic headbands. When its shaken with the pieces inside of it, it makes a rattle noise which the baby likes. Some of the cube sides are cross hatched and some sides are just straight, so there is variety as you turn the cube.
I bought this toy for my son's first birthday. I love that its a simple toy that can be used in increasingly complex ways as he grows. The pieces are a good size for his hands. The fact that they are all different shapes, colors and textures offers a good tactile experience. The elastic bands around the outside create easier and more complex sides, which he has had fun exploring. The only thing I would change is that I wish the pieces that fit inside were more rubbery instead of hard plastic. My son is still at the stage where everything goes in the mouth and I think he would play with it longer and be more interested in it if he could chew on the pieces after taking them out. This toy is so fun! I got it early for my babe (6mo) with the hopes it will last a while. She likes to mouth the pieces- they're harder than I expected but coated in a softer material so it's ok for mouthing. She also likes to grab the strings and shake the whole bin to make some noise. My 17 month old niece loved it when she saw it too. It was a bit of a challenge to get the pieces in but she was up for it! I'm excited for the potential as my little one grows! I also got the Kupz too so they can do a color match activity eventually! The pieces fit well and color match perfectly.

I bought this for my son's 1st birthday. It got crushed by an older brother almost a year later, but in the time it was in use, it got plenty of use. Yes, the square holes are harder to pull toys through than the horizontal spaces. But my boy liked the challenge and got better at it over the months. I plan to buy it again when my next child turns 1
My grandson is 6 months old and while he can't yet put the different shapes into the cube or pull them out, he loves holding the cube (with one hand) and playing with the colored cords. He enjoys lifting the shapes, trying to bite them (at this age everything is tactile and into the mouth). He lifts them up and puts them down over and over again. I can definitely see this being a toy that will grow with him for a few more months.The box lists it as being appropriate for 10+ mos old and I ca see how the interest in how to use it will evolve as he develops.
