I have to rate Fearn Natural Foods Liquid Lecithin (16 fl oz or 473 ml) with only two stars. I found this product to be lacking in quality compared to other lecithin options. The texture and flavor were not up to par, and it was not as versatile as I had hoped. Additionally, the 16 oz size, while standard, did not offer good value considering the product's quality. I would recommend exploring other brands for liquid lecithin as this one fell short of expectations.

My preferred source of choline. You get a lot of it from the liquid, for cheap. Sharpens me up, no bull. Also has a (good) sexual side-effect - youll find out! I dont know if this review will be applied to my specific dealer but they did not pack it well and two of the bottle caps broke during shipment - yuck! I think I complained and hopefully they are packing it better now.

Excellent!

I use capsule, powder, and liquid for Lecithin. But I feel like liquid is the most effective form. Of course, lecithin is so thick that it is hard to deal with. So far, the best way for me is to mix with my morning shake by mixer. Its texture become creamy, and you don't notice the taste. I am taking this for the benefit of cholesterol.

Great in baked goods or as a nonstick "spread"
8 October 2012

The lecithin is great in bread but to my knowledge, it does not replace the oil. One would use only a tablespoon or two in a 2-loaf recipe, vs 1/4 cup oil. Lecithin is an emulsifier and could replace an egg in a bread recipe. Lecithin will improve the texture and freshness of your loaf.I also use it to make a non-stick to brush on all my baking and cooking pans. Although the label says 2 parts lecithin to one part oil, I do it the other way around (it would be really thick and gooey at their ratio). I use light olive oil because that can sit out for a week or two and not get rancid (as opposed to other oils that should always be refrigerated). I mix it in a small condiment jar and spread it with a pastry brush that sits in the jar on my counter by the stove -- ... MoreThe lecithin is great in bread but to my knowledge, it does not replace the oil. It's the consistency of molasses -- imagine trying to get refrigerated molasses out of a bottle! :)

Liquid Lecithin is one of my secrets!
5 December 2014

As a home baker for my entire married life, I have learned a thing or 2 about what makes good bread. My best kept secret is definitely Liquid Lecithin! I have tried granules but they don't melt quickly enough for some recipes. I was looking for another ingredient to use that would help my breads and coffee cakes stay freah for more than 24 hours. I wanted something natural, not chemical. When I saw this product on the shelf I jumped at it! It is exactly what I needed. When I am baking bread, I melt whatever shortening or fat I am using and combine it with gently heated Liquid Liecithin. My Saturday night breads can now travel to church on Sunday morning!I know Lecithin is good for me and that makes it even better to use in home made yeast breads! And this has ... MoreAs a home baker for my entire married life, I have learned a thing or 2 about what makes good bread. I tried adding this to my drink for the benefits. but for me, it needs a capsule. No fault of product. It’s great quality soy lecithin.

Very potent product
23 October 2023

One tablespoon of Fern liquid lecithin is equivalent to twelve lecithin soft gels. The only negative thing about this product, in my opinion, is that it is too thick.
