We have been using this product for many years on merbau decks that are exposed to sea air & strong winds, often salt laden. Usually recoat each year prior to summer & after nearly 20 years our decks still look amazing. Also use it on outdoor wooden teak furniture with great results.

I use this on all my outdoor engraved timber signs that I've been making for over 25 years and send all over Australia. Easy to apply - is clear so is applied, also into engravings which are usually infilled with black acrylic paint. Top quality for my quality signs which I'm well known for across Australia.

I've had this on my outdoor furniture for about 5 years now. It still looks great! The only issue I had with this is that it takes a lot of stirring and mixing prior to applying. Even then it still doesn't mix completely. Please note, the other reviewer is correct there is the slightest hint of blue in the look but in general it's very close to an aged look.I would highly recommend this anyone who's chasing an aged or driftwood look.

Just finished oiling timber furniture. Love the soft grey finish. Very beachy! Looks naturally greyed from weather. No issues with this product cleaned using outdoor furniture cleaner, light sand and 2 coats.
This was so easy to apply and instantly transformed the merbau back to its original colour, even after it had cured. It also goes a long way, so you use less than you think you would. This is a keeper!
Gives the timber a beautiful finish. Be prepared to do all the prep work if you want a great finish. Use deck cleaner and then guerney it off. Time consuming? Yes but we’ll worth the effort.
We originally put this on 5 years ago per instructions. The quick time before 1st and 2nd coat was the draw card and the rich colour lasted much longer than 12 months with covered pergola (exposed from 3 sides). We recently had some time @ home and decided to re-stain. While the prep work was a bit more tedious (light sanding to remove some arts and crafts paint stains by kids followed by the standard deck wash) the actual application remained a breeze. Minimal clean-up was achieved by disposing of the $12 applicator pad rather than bother turping it clean for re-use in next 3 to 5 years.
I have used this product extensively. Yes it has a blue/purple tinge to it but this counteracts the yellow that treated pine can throw when exposed to the sun. I have used it on sleepers, posts and decking, H3 and H4 and very happy with the results. The blue/purple tinge fades and you are left with beautiful weathered looking timber. I suggest asking at the paint counter to have the tin agitated as this lifts the tint off the bottom of the can and makes it easier to stir through at home. I have not found this product sticky at all, it absorbs well and actually removed some of the sap stickiness on the sleepers. I wanted a pale coastal look and this oil achieved that.
I’d strongly urge anyone not to use this product. The grey pigment has a blue tone to it, meaning it colours your wood bluey-grey.If you want to protect your timber but still have a weathered grey appearance I’d suggest using another product, Feast Watson Water Repellent Timber And Deck Oil. Then just wait for the sun to do its work.
Wow what a product. Decking stains and oils is the rabbit hole you never get out of.Put in a merbau deck, done the watering of said deck for the 4-6 weeks. I was really hesitant to put anything on it because of the lovely colour of the wood already. After a lot of Google research and checking the reviews this was the product I went with as I didn’t find one complaint about it turning the wood a yellow colour. I must note, it’s really important to go around and wipe the excess off after an hour which is what I did. I brought a 10 litre drum for a 62m2 deck and it used less than half so there is a lot of coverage in one drum.I cannot comment on how it’ll wear after 6 months but based on coverage of the tin I’ll have enough for the next couple of years
