The front part easily unclips from the part that is attached to the cage. My CAG is a baby and still learning and yet managed to quite easily get it off while just playing with it. Once it fell in front of me. I thought it was because she had access to the top and was able to pull it off. So I put the top against the ceiling so that access was blocked. Today, my mother found her under the fallen box, trapped and trying to get out. Our CAG could have been seriously injured. Thankfully she is ok and unhurt. But it could have been bad.It is sad because the toy itself is very well made in terms of material quality but sadly not as per safety.The only way to safely use it now is to put it on the floor.

I bought this for my Senegal Parrot and he loves this toy. He spends hours carefully chewing the cubes etc to a small enough size to be removed from the 'hide'. This toy has been my best toy purchase so far, as he has not been able to destroy it in one sitting, and it is easy to put new bits of wood or treats inside. Brilliant!

I bought this for my African Grey who is often scared of new things and isn't that interested in foraging. Our vet told us that he plucks his feathers because he isn't active enough and foraging was the best cure. I put this in his cage and for 3 days he hardly moved - he was petrified!! He finally spotted the treats that I'd put inside and approached with caution. Now I refill it every day with different things and he loves to find his treats. And he leaves his feathers alone!!

I bought this for my grey and he was very interested in it as soon as I showed it to him. (Normally he is scared of new toys). I let him poke it for a bit before actually putting it in the cage and he was very intrigued.He spent most of the day looking at it before eventually wandering over and poking at it again. I left him to it and heard an almighty thud about 10 minutes later. The screw part of the toy had broken, two bits had snapped off and the toy had fallen off (thankfully my parrot was unharmed).I managed to fix it back to the cage but knew it probably wouldn't last, as it wasn't supported as well. I came home today to find the toy on the floor of the cage again, in pieces. The product it self is a great idea, because it made from acrylic the tighten snapped straight away but I put a stainless steel screw in and works fine
It even withstands macaws beaks and has lasted years well worth the money! Its one of my favourites!!!
This toy is such a bargain, it comes stuffed full of things to chew and then can be refilled with anything you like! All of my parrots love it, I have bought multiple of these and wills definitely buy more. It is very strong too!
Birds like it, but it comes off the cage too easily. The plastic knob to screw it on will snap off when a bird starts to play with it vigorously. Both my pionus and african grey enjoy it. Works better on cages with wide bar spacing.
I got this for my African gray parrot and she loves it. It is very well made, strong plastic. Comes filled with wood blocks, wicker balls and everything you see in the picture, and the nice thing is it can very easily be refilled by the back piece that easily comes off.Only down side I had was when I received it, it didn't have the universal mounting bracket as said in the description, but,, when I contacted them they shipped it out free to me very quickly.
