This is an excellent gimbal for the GoPro 6. It is fully featured and is built like a tank. I have been able to do everything with it that has been advertised and I feel like it can be an essential for good video with the GoPro. I have knocked off one star simply because of the confusion on how to set it up properly with the camera and how to use the app with it. I did it, but had to spend some time Googling youtubes on how to do this and that. In all, an excellent addition to a GoPro camera bag.

I was concerned about buying from a supplier in Hong Kong but everything went to plan, arriving pretty quickly. I purchased the item for an upcoming 12 day motorcycle trip to the Pyrenees and to improve quality of my hotel and landscape GoPro shots. I didn't use this every day but I was impressed that the battery was still 25% charged on my return. Really enhanced my Vlogs. As I already own several Go Pro's, so my only caveat would be that...gimbals are on the way out IMO....now, with the GoPro Hero7 just released, small and offering amazing stabilisation....check that out before deciding!

Having made my own little holiday films, this Gimbal helps to make your shots really smooth, having only made a short test clip, Im really impressed how it works and how smooth the footage looks, Im sure the results of our next adventure will look even better and an end to unusable clips that are too poor looking. Ive given 5*s as its the best price Ive found anywhere on the internet and it really works well.
I had to send mine back! The stabilization itself is very good but all the mic on the go pro picks up is the sound of the gimble motors. If you want this for action footage that you want to put music over then its great but if you want this for filming people and picking up there voices then is no good, unless youre prepared to buy a decent external mic.
Took it to a shoot in Kaua'i last week, great addition to your filmmaker gears. Works well, but needs some time to set up the Wifi and Blutooth connections between the GoPro and the Feiyu Gimbal, using both the GoPro App and the Feiyu App. Doing a reportage, didn't have time to set it up properly and ended up using it manually (normally, you can start and stop the camera from the gimbal itself). Also the gyros were fooled by the helicopter moves and had to be reset a few times. Other than that, works great.
Seemed like an OK product. Only played with it a few times, then I tried to update firmware using Feiyu Go app. App crashed and somehow killed the gimbal. Appears to power up, but screen blank and gimbal unresponsive.If your gimbal is working ok, think long and hard before updating.Returned to B&H.Thanks guys!
Bought this for my hubby who is content with only carrying around a little gopro, and who hates lugging heavy gear. I dodn't want to feel seasick watching his unstable video. He was very sceptical at first as he did not wish to add another thing to carry, but after using ait a few times he was hooked. Theinstruction manual is a bit confusing and nt quite correct, and getting the camera balaced and not tilting to the side is a bit of a chore. But for the low price, with its long battery life, splashproof design and manual that affors you and opportunity to brush up on your puzzle solving skills, this little thing is da bomb.
Surprise is an understatement for the versatility of this gem. You read the description with a grain of salt but this product delivers on its promises. Easy to use and multiple applications it can be used.Positives: Ease of use, although you may want a cheat sheet until you're more familiar with the product. Weight isn't much of a factor.Drawbacks: The grip could be about an inch longer to accommodate large paws (hands). Charging may be a problem if you use this in the backcountry. Also its easy to accidentally touch a control button when holding it if you'r3e not careful.

I simply attach my GoPro turn it on use the joystick and mode button on the unit and along with GoPro app for live view and it works great. The one thing the G4s did was it had an underslung mode by just tapping the mode button. The G6 can do this also BUT it requires you to use the joystick to spin the gimbal head 180 degrees upside down and then reposition the way you hold the gimbal to achieve these low angle shoots. This was important to me to be able to do as it one main way I shoot with my GoPro when I use a gimbal. It was difficult to find any info about being able to do this or videos on YouTube but you can shoot in underslung mode using this gimbal. Wish they would have just made it one of the button tap options. The build quality is solid and the adjustable counter weight is nice to balance you action cam quickly. I like having one battery instead of two but would have liked it if it shipped with a separate charger. You get a usb cable to charge from unit but no power block. The case it comes in is just okay. I think it would have been nice if they used the inside top part of the case for extra storage by adding a zipper pouch. It's been a solid gimbal for me so far and it is definitely an upgrade from my G4s. They have come a long way with their handheld Gimbals and seem to improve with every model.
