I've been trying to find the right diet for my four legged friends were there are no preservatives, fillers or harmful ingredients, and this is when I came upon this expensive food, so thought I would give it a try. My oldest out of 5 cats is 21 and suffers from her kidneys, so I tried KD science hill authorized by the vet and it was a no go, as I barely saw any improvement. I was soon introduced to this food and so far I've had prominent results, as all my cats chow down with satisfaction. I'm so far happy to see their energy levels emerging throughout the start of this particular food, and recommend this product if you are looking for limited, but healthy ingredients as a complete diet.

My picky Angelo absolutely loves the Lamb. We call it Lamborghini. LOL!We alternate with another novel protein (rabbit) to help his stomach lining inflammation. He is better and hasn’t barfed since we made the changes. Diet is so important for their health! Food is medicine for our furbabies, too!

We have been trying different proteins due to one sick cat... This lamb was a hit will all 3 cats. What I don't like is that the small block of food is surrounded by 2 oz of broth (measured it). So 5.5 oz on the can is really 3.5 oz of actual food. For this price I'd like to be getting more food and less broth. While I'm glad they like it, this is too expensive to continue. :(

I feed my 12 cats a variety of Feline Natural and a few other brands because of the high animal protein and low carbs. Cats are carnivores and need animal protein to thrive and cannot metabolize carbs. It is also recommended to feed different proteins to help avoid developing allergies to one protein fed exclusively. That said, my cats LOVE this Lamb and I love that there are no unnecessary ingredients , gums or carrageenan in it. I will continue to buy this for them along with the other foods Feline Natural offers. Yes, it is expensive to feed that many cats, but it keeps them happy and healthy. Lord knows how much it would cost to have them sick and have to pay vet bills!!
I've been having a REALLY hard time finding a good food for my cat; he's diabetic, has recurring pancreatitis that makes his body not respond to his insulin injections, AND has IBD and food allergies. Having to find a food that is a novel protein, limited ingredients, and low in carbs has been a nightmare! I picked up a few cans of this from a small local pet shop and both of my cats love it! Our non-diabetic cat is usually a really picky eater and only licks the gravy off of foods, but she'll chow down on this. I was really worried when i opened the first can because of the white spots on top, but a quick google search found that it's normal fat separation since the food is packed raw and "cooked" by the canning process. :) There are only two things i dislike about ... MoreI've been having a REALLY hard time finding a good food for my cat; he's diabetic, has recurring pancreatitis that makes his body not respond to his insulin injections, AND has IBD and food allergies. I can't order it on Chewy (which is only a convenience thing, since i get litter and medicine auto shipped!) and it takes a while to chop up the paté block and stir it all up with the liquid, which is the only way i can stir in crushed tablets to trick Nox into taking his medicine.
I saw a bunch of reviews about the smelliness and thinking it was rotten. I have a rumpy manx with manx syndrome and extreme food sensitivities. After diarrhea with fecal incontinence for 2 years straight, this, the Ziwi peak lamb, and the meat mates lamb are the ONLY foods she can eat that doesn’t give her diarrhea. Lamb Tripe smells like a port-a potty but is extremely good for them. I promise it’s not rancid meat or something that fell out of the toilet bowl. I have 4 cats and they ALL like different things. One won’t eat any wet food unless it’s the salmon and lamb feline natural or one of the Ziwi peak mackerel options, another turns his nose up at almost EVERYTHING except Whole Life Salmon cubes for crying out loud. My point is, some cats don’t like lamb tripe ... MoreI saw a bunch of reviews about the smelliness and thinking it was rotten. I have a rumpy manx with manx syndrome and extreme food sensitivities. My point is, some cats don’t like lamb tripe and maybe that’s why they won’t eat it. You should definitely find a healthy cat store nearby that sells single cans first to try (more than 2 cans) and see. Actually, the disgusting smelly lamb tripe foods are the one thing all 4 of my cats do agree on. Cats need to eat things with smells that they like and just like humans, we like different things. My manx loves this food and since it 1 of 3 options she CAN eat, I’ll plug my nose when I open the can and be happy she doesn’t have diarrhea that she leaves everywhere she sits and lays down.
I have exclusively bought your canned and freeze-dried products for years, but it is somewhat antithetical to feed healthy food to my cat that was cooked in a plastic-lined can. All plastics, PVA or not, are deleterious to an animal's health; Your cooked food pouches are also a misstep for this reason, and I think you are misunderstanding your customers. In addition, you no longer sell 3oz cans. I don't feed multiple cats, and want to provide my cat the freshest (albeit, canned) food every time I feed him. Again, I think you are not understanding the market you serve. I have and will again be making my own cat food at this point - I'm not going to pay a premium price for premium ingredients packed (and heated) in plastic liners - or for 6oz cans that have to be ... MoreI have exclusively bought your canned and freeze-dried products for years, but it is somewhat antithetical to feed healthy food to my cat that was cooked in a plastic-lined can. I have and will again be making my own cat food at this point - I'm not going to pay a premium price for premium ingredients packed (and heated) in plastic liners - or for 6oz cans that have to be stored in leftover containers in the fridge. I really was upset to have finally acquiesced to buy the 6oz cans and to find that they were plastic/polymer lined. A large part of why I purchased your product was because the cans were unlined.
My 3 cats absolutely love these wet foods including the Chicken Feast. They always finish every last bite. It's moist with extra gravy at the bottom and keeps them full for hours. The fact that there are no fillers, includes mussels and tripe in some recipes with minimal supplements makes this a superior Wet food. I pray they never stop making it. I'm a customer for life!!
I'm really, really careful of what I feed my cats so did extensive research before I chose Feline Natural. I also read about how to transition cats to a new food (there are a few different methods). What worked for me was purchasing the 3 oz cans and having them split it as a mid-day treat. At first neither one would even touch it. Then my older cat ate a little bit one day. I ended up having to put some treats on top of the food to get my younger cat to try it. After about a week they were licking their dishes clean and now they enthusiastically share a 6 oz can for breakfast each morning. Last night was the first night they share a 6 oz can of the Chicken and Venison for supper (again, they love it and eat it enthusiastically, even more than their old food!)So happy my cats are enjoying this food since it's such a great, healthy brand!
My cat has decided that this food is one of her favorites- especially this flavor. She got a can from a friend for her 16th birthday and went crazy for it. Apparently she has found her long, lost kiwi roots. Go New Zealand! So that she doesn't waste any, I put the contents of the can in a blender with a small amount of warm water and create a thick bisque out of it. I put the bulk of it in the fridge and dole it out at mealtimes and she licks the bowl clean.
