I mistakenly thought buying my shredder from Staples for more than what I had hoped to spend meant I was getting a higher quality shredder. However, I’ve been disappointed to find that is not necessarily the case. I already had to unclog it after only using it twice. Also, after emptying the bin, I found a couple items not fully shredded. This was not due to overloading as a matter of fact the items not being shredded were relatively flimsy.

I bought this Shredder as I had accumulated 2 years worth of documents that I needed to get rid of. Very impressed with the ease of getting through the backlog. Main points for me is the bin size and the ability to shred around pages a time. There is a cut-out which prevents operation when the unit overheats which is fine. To make it fun suggest you save up a lot of documents and hide away and shred - it's very cathartic. I'd personally recommend it if you're looking for a decent shredder.

This works well, (it replaces a worn-out, smaller capacity Fellowes shredder). I bought it because I wanted to be able to put more pieces of paper/card through at any one time and it handles this well. It is quite noisy and my previous shredder had a pull out container which was very handy to take to the bin to empty. You have to lift off the top section of this which is heavy and awkward (turning it upside down so that the loose bits of shredded paper don't make too much of a mess) and having emptied the bin, the bin feels quite flimsy but is given rigidity by fitting the top back in place. The shredding blade and motor feel substantial and powerful. Basically its an ugly, noisy box but performs well.

A very useful shredder for home or small office use. Efficiently shreds documents (without removing staples), card and outdated credit cards.Rather noisy, but no noisier than other shredders.My one criticism is that the container of shredded paper cannot be simply pulled out for emptying. The heavy top must be lifted off (after switching off electricity supply).
I love my new paper shredder! Long overdue in purchasing a new one. This new one really grind up the paper that is being disposes. I love the fact that the holder more of the shredder paper because is shreds the paper much finer therefore, it allows me to shred more before disposing of the shredded sheets. I'm very please with my choice.
I purchased this shredder recently that replaced an old shredder which I had for many years. I am so glad I did as it is far quicker and makes light work of the paper shredding that I do which tends to be a large pile of paperwork in one hit.I found it sailed through this without much trouble whereas my old machine used to struggle.The large bin is also very useful as it stores far more shredder paper than my old machine which is a great benefit when you have quite a bit of paper to get rid of.I would recommend this machine.
With assistance from a member of staff I selected this shredded as the packaging says 'convenient easy to empty pull-out waste bin'We should have looked at the product listing here which tells the truth of the matter - it's the cheap and inconvenient type where the heavy motor part must be lifted off the bin and then find a temporary home for.Will tiny bits of shredded paper be dropped everywhere? Of course! That's why a pull-put bin was the requirement.Q) Why didn't I look on the O/W website while in store?A) Experience teaches me that the website cannot always be trusted either.Back it will have to go.
I purchased this unit to replace my last shredder that had jammed up (I have now learned that you need to oil these things!). This one has performed faultlessly and it hardly works up a sweat shreding 100 pages. Don't try to shred 10 pages at once - it starts to balk at 5 sheets of 80 gsm a4 paper. Much happier with 3 sheets. The box is large and willingly takes the claimed 100 sheets. Every now and again, you need to re-distribute the pile of shredded paper in the box. Don't allow the heap of shreddings to build up to the blades, otherwise the blades won't self clear. Clear window in box is good for seeing the level. A very good piece of equipment.

Bought a shredder from a well known on line company a couple of years ago. Realised fairly on that it wouldn't cope with too much in one go. Having moved house it was being used regularly and it wasn't long before it gave up.This Fellowes Shredder is sturdy, takes a number of sheets of paper in one go and hasn't yet overheated and cut out. I am sure it will last longer than my previous one!I use the recommended oil each time I empty it. Excellent product.
