It's low in sugar, but tastes like tonic used to. Most importantly, I think it is the only tonic water that does not have sugar substitutes, which made me ill. So many manufacturers have substituted sugar to comply with the law but keep things sweet tasting).

Fever Tree make the best tonics going. We buy this variety and drink it straight from the tin as a refreshing drink. Im assured it also goes well with gin!

Excellent quality. Elevates our G&Ts to bar/restaurant quality. Since we started purchasing Fever Tree weve found it really hard to buy other any brand. The light version here is very clean, crisp and we love that it uses only fruit sugars. Excellent purchase.

Favourite tonic
13 July 2020

I've tried so many different tonics - all in the name of research obviously ( I had to force myself to also drink a lot of gin to go with them - which was a tough job but someone had to do it) This is definitely my favourite. Not sweet. Not bitter. No synthetic after taste. Also the cans are technically the perfect size for a G&T (unless you're occasionally a bit heavy handed with the gin like myself)

Getting too pricy...

Bought this for years, but starting to look for a cheaper alternative. So far, this is still the best. Clean, fresh, not sweet and still has sparkle.

Great Light Tonic
30 September 2020

This is a super tonic for your G&T or vodka. It has a lovely refreshing taste and not at all superficially sweet like some. I hate saccharin or artificial sweeteners and this contains none of these so always a winner with me.

Great tonic.

I buy good gin so don't spoil it with mediocre tonic. The gin I prefer is light and flowery in taste so this delicate tonic complements it perfectly. The fact that it is low calorie and comes in a tin of just the right size so each G&T is fresh and fizzy (with no half a 'flat' bottle to have to throw away) are bonuses. Worth every penny.

Less sugar no sweetener, hooray!
5 December 2018

I really like this, it may have more carbs/sugar than some tonics (still less than any 'full fat' versions) but that's because it isn't filled with vile tasting sweeteners. I really appreciate that this light version simply uses less sugar and wish more brands would follow suit. I guess it may seem tastless if you're used to the taste of sweetener but that's a taint I'm very happy to avoid.

Top Quality Tonic
27 August 2021

Fever Tree really are too quality. The difference in taste is really noticeable. When you compare with another leading brand beginning with Sh… , the other brand tastes like it’s got lots of sweetener in it.

worst tonic I have tried
21 July 2018

little or no taste when drinking but unpleasant medicinal aftertaste. Very overpriced and over rated in my view . Also "light " is misleading . This tonic has nearly as much sugar and calories as most other brands normal tonic. Only light when compared to Fever tree normal tonic with very high sugar content. This will not figure in my shopping and I will stick to the proper Slimline.
