The more you play and win with your team, the more currency you can obtain and the more currency you obtain, the higher rated players can be yours. The opportunities and games are endless with this mode. The Career Mode featuring Alex Hunter is so well done. It's like watching a movie/tv show unfold, but you get to play a part of it. You being able to control one player's career instead of a whole team really is enticing. I can't speak enough about how this mode keeps me coming back. All in all this game is amazing. Even if you aren't into soccer or know anything about it, I recommend you try this game. Countless hours of fun come with it.

I think FIFA 17 is a great game as it offers a wide variety of game modes, all in one game for a very cheap price. The biggest feature added to this game is the in game player faces. These new player faces make the game feel more realistic as when I was playing FIFA 16 last year, I could not tell who a lot of the players were. This made FIFA 16 not good but EA Sports, like every year, managed to correct their mistakes so that mostly every player on the game can be recognised in the game. This little feature has a big impact to the game and lifts its status as one of the biggest football games in the world. This also enhances the quality of FIFA 17 and makes it stand out more than the previous game. The flow of the game is much faster and makes it feel like you are actually playing in a real match. I also like the new feature added to FIFA Ultimate Team called FUT Champions. This game mode allowed a lot of FIFA pro players to show their true ability against some of the biggest pro players in the world. It also allowed people who were not good at the game to try and get better at the game. I loved it as I qualified and did pretty well. In conclusion, I felt that FIFA 17 is a fantastic game and it is also my favourite game as it is very enjoyable to play and I don’t get bored of it because there is so much to do for only £50. The game is worth every penny.

A great game, just lacking depth.

Looks like EA really put time into this FIFA. The graphics is the most obvious update as well as the gameplay. This year you really have to slow down and build up, no more running full speed and just smashing X to complete passes. Everything needs to be slowed down and thought out before executing, just like real life. The New Game mode the journey is a nice edition. Keeps you busy while playing alone when your friends are not online. FUT is back again, new updates such as squad builder challenges also keep you tuned in and make this game mode even more fun. I also play Pro Clubs, this year the evolution of your player really depends on if you are playing in your position, making passes and not losing the ball. Having owned most releases of FIFA for over a decade I can say confidently that this is the biggest step up from the previous year's release. Moving onto the frostbite engine was sorely needed, and if you have played Battlefield or Starwars Battlefront you will already know that it can push the boundaries of current graphics. Including managers from the premier league adds to the immersion as well as the reactions and responses from fans and players. Ultimate Team has been polished further with new modes and even neglected modes such as Pro Clubs have been given an array of new options. My only criticisms are that the story is too linear and sometimes the scripting can be incredibly cheesy. These are minor points though. Would definitely recommend.

The game is great. The problem is with the jumbo Packs that come with the game. All my jumbo packs disappeared in February. Since that time, I have remained in a running battle with EA for my packs. They keep referring to the Jumbo packs as part of a pre-order where the packs have to be claimed every two weeks. The latest redemption date for the codes were supposed to be October 16th. So if the pre-order actually applied, how could I redeem the codes after Nov 24th? This is why such organizations get class action lawsuits at the end of the day. The case for the deluxe game shows up to $60 added value and specifically 20 jumbo packs. So this was my first FIFA game in a good while. Took some time researching which one was the best in the last ten years as these games come out each year and not much changes to them. So was definitely looking for something different. FIFA 17 rose to the top because it was the first time the game was powered by the frost bite engine. Having played other games powered by frost bite, I knew this would be a good thing. Overall the game is well done. Nothing new except smoother animation as a result of the engine. The only major draw back is the lack of a tutorial when it comes to understanding what needs to be done during the skills challenges. Anywhom I would not pass up on this game as the reviews show that years 18,19,20, and 21 are not all that great. 22 should be for next gen console so thats a different story.

FIFA's first attempt at adding a story to the game. Essentially, it works, but still has lots of room for improvement: the graphics during cut-scenes look like a PS3 could easily handle them, oddly I was reminded of The Getaway during some cut-scenes. Regardless of your performance, some "events" are unavoidable (you'll see what I mean). I've never been a big online FIFA gamer, but this year I thought I'd give FUT a try, after 5-10 minutes of security question and answers, I was left confused and brain dead after trying to figure out the process of organising my team, for a newbie to FUT, this is just scary, there needs to be more explanation about this process. Graphics are...well, typical FIFA, characters look great and are more realistic every year but they still haven't grasped the concept of body contact when players hug during a celebration, the players hands are nowhere nearrrrr their comrades body when hugging, this just looks glitchy. Gameplay is smooth-ish, and I like the improved passing physics, but essentially, it's EA's heart installment. Saying that, I will religiously buy this game each year because I'm a slave to The Man, also EA are getting better as a game developer.Overall - still worth buying if you're an avid footy fan, but don't expect anything majorly different -- except The Journey of course, and, if that continues to be a feature in each yearly instalment, I think they will have a pretty solid addition to the standard 'Manager' seasonal gameplay.

I have been a FIFA fan for a number of years. I wasn't impressed with last year's version, and found the gameplay frustrating and inconsistent. This year's version seems like an improvement, even though I believe the gameplay in PES 2017 is better. But I love the stadium atmosphere and licenses of Fifa, and I also enjoy the wear on the pitch and jerseys. The Journey storyline is my favorite, and it really merges together sports with an RPG style. The only issue is that it doesn't extend beyond 1 season. Still it is a good start that could lead to something better in the future. While I do recommend this game, I'm starting to think that EA focuses too much on the FUT features, which is why I believe PES was able to step of there game. I must first say that after playing Fifa for over 5 years, this is by far the most challenging one for me. The graphics are awesome and the game play, for the most part is smooth. The AI is definitely harder. In fact, I sometimes think it is juiced. They seem to know every move that I am going to make and shoots, much less scoring is hard to come by.I have played for a couple of weeks and I definitely lose (mostly, 1-0) more than I win. So, I am still learning how to play. No longer can you outrun opponents. You will need strategy, or tricks, to score and win at this game.Despite the difficulty that I am experiencing, I still love the game. It is nothing like actually seeing the ball go into the net. I have not played the Journey mode, so I cannot comment on that. The menus and functions are the same for the most part as the past few years. You will definite want to use more tactics in the game this time around.I did experience a glitch in the game where I was fired during the transfer period and went to another team. Yes, I was fired in the middle of my second season (which you have objectives to complete and winning is definitely one of them.)When I tried to search for players to buy during the transfer period, I was booted back to the home screen. This happened every time. I found no work around that worked for me so I just restarted a new manager mode. If you have experience this and found out how to work around it, please let me know.Despite the glitch, I do enjoy the game. Losing is no fun, but I have to keep playing and try new techniques to defend and put that ball back into the net.If you are looking for a challenging, realistic, for the most part, soccer game, then this one is for you. I hope this helps. If you a fan of the serious, definitely get it; I think you will enjoy.
