Sound quality is good but not great compared to other headphone amp solutions. Also, as it uses your phone as a power source, you will drain you battery fast. But these are minor quibbles. It's a good value and inexpensive unit that helps deliver better quality wired sound in a portable way. Recommended.

I purchased this DAC for use with my Android smartphone and unsurprisingly, the difference coul be noticed immediately even while playing basic 320kbps MP3 files(sound is much cleaner). This is obvious because most smartphone manufacturers use entry level DAC hardware for keeping costs low(except Asus upto ROG 5S and LG G/V series).The sound signature is nicely balanced and clear without any noise or sibilance. Although I would recommend the KA3 over the KA1 on any day(better everywhere), I chose the latter for its power efficiency and the same sturdy build quality in a more compact form factor. Please note that USB debugging(developer options) has to be enabled for any external DAC/AMP to work on an android device. Hope this helps.

As of now, there is not a single portable dongle DAC/AMP (3.5 mm SE) in the entry or probably even mid level range across all vendors that comes close to the FiiO KA1.Right from it's design, build quality, size, ergonomics ,to it's weight, feel and portability and sound output, it is a MUST buy portable DAC/AMP for any audiophile.Shall not elaborate on it's specs as its all there for all to see , but would like to highlight that this DAC/AMP will even please die hard MQA fans.All in all, feel my money was well spent on a quality product built to last.Thanks to Audio Store, who apart from recommending a suitable product always do ensure that they ship and deliver the product on-time.

Wanted a usb c to 3.5 dongle for new smartphone. This had good reviews though costs more than a dongle. However after using it for few days, definitely feel it is worth purchasing. Ended up using my Audio-technica m50x more than ever because of this dac.
Nice power for this very small unintrusive amp/DAC, I used it with my iPhone 13, good power, superb sound. Streaming decoding is automatic and effortless.
I wasn't expecting such a big difference. All my headphones sound richer, fuller and louder now. Tried with CCA CRA, XB450 and Blon BL03. On my phone it wasnt that loud, but on PC using Foobar2000 as source its a game changer. Would highly recommend if you are not happy with your motherboard audio.

First of all thanks to Headphonezone for providing authentic and new product And for this DAC just a single word 'Amazing' :) .This is my first DAC and i've experienced a big difference in sound quality. Currently i'm using BLON-BL03 and Sennheiser HD-206 (thinking about kz-zs10 pro). I'm satisfied with this DAC. I think it is completely value for money.
Don't know if i received defected piece. It's not working on my Samsung Galaxy S20+ and getting hot when connecting to phone. Not working on Laptop as well. Returning it. Disappointed product by FiiO.
I first bought AK xb 10 but, it had some hiss type noise and the sound quality through my mobile Samsung A52 was more clear than it. So i returned that item.With that money and adding extra RS 1800 i purchased this Fio ka 1, and i am absolutely loving it.I am using sound magic e11c with this DACAND surprisinglySound stage, instrument separation, stereo effect, bass quality, vocal and treble s all improved.The fiio control app helps to select the filter types which is amazing.I am telling the buyers some tips1. Buy Xtreme music app which will improve your sound by a bigger margin.2.
