I bought this because I was just starting to work with Polymer. Knowing what I know now I would have just bought six basic colors in the 2 oz packages to get started. The quality is not indicated so I don't know if it is basic or professional but I am assuming not professional as they are very, very soft. The small amounts don't go far. Also, the colors don't have the names so when I went to buy more of the green I had no idea what to order. I worked them in with my higher end clay so they didn't go to waste. The colors were very nice and seemed to cure in the oven just fine. Easy to use, bakes well and looks amazing. Can blend colours so can make any desired colour from these basics.
I bought this for my son as he saw it being used on a video. The FIMO itself is good, but the instfuctions are poor and it took a bit of trial and error. Would benefit of an example as well, a bit like when buying ingredients for cooking and sometimes they have very simple recipes primted.

We have tried several makes of cheaper modelling clay but always return to FIMO as it’s far superior in its handling and finished result. There is a wide range of colours and it gives a consistent outcome. The latest projects have been - garden labels and small dolls house items.Highly recommended
Fimo breaks up and is too difficult for a new to Polymer Clay. I have seen where people love to use it and that was the reason I purchased it. But, they did not show how it is more difficult to work with. While trying to roll it either with the clay machine (pasta machine) or with the acrylic roller it broke and stuck to the machine and the acrylic roller. It was extremely annoying! My house is not humid so I know that was not the issue and I did not have an issue with any of my other clay (Premo).
Fimo is such a fantastic product and the creative possibilities are endless. I have been making dolls house food with mine as well as fairy doors. I even mixed glitter in with some of the colours and it looks fantastic. Very pleased with the end result.Helpful staff as always at hobby craft, always enjoy shopping here.Brilliant price.
But the Fimo Professional is much better I just wish it was stocked more :(. The Fimo soft is good but it is difficult to condition so if you're after a fast conditioning clay this isn't it however its worth the effort and I'd definitely recommend warming it in your hands in small pieces then using a pasta machine to condition. It makes strong sturdy but flexible jewellery and I have mixed it with Premo too and it worked fine. Definitely 4* but Fimo Professional is 5* also as it has true primaries to mixyour own pallette and a mixing system. Hopefully the monkeys will source this for us soon ;)
My son asked me to buy this product for him after watching YouTube video on how to make pokemon mini figures. We got a packet of soft clay in different colours in a store. This clay is much, much better than the usual clay as it's very easy to roll, mould and cut. It doesn't make your hands dirty and it comes in array of beautiful, bright colours. It reminded me of plasticine by texture but the difference is that it gets hard after drying it in the oven for 20 minutes at a very low heat. My son loved creating different pokemon figures which look awesome now on his desk.
