I purchase this from chemist direct because my country has excessive prescription costs and I’m only able to purchase with insurance and a script in my country. If I were to use my script insurance and pharmacy in my country the cost of this product would be over 200$usd. Thank you for helping me care for myself in an affordable way. I purchase one tube per year and it lasts me a very long time. Maintenance use one time per week does it for me.

I have rosacea and finacea keeps it under control, minimizing redness and the nasty bumps and breakouts that rosacea causes.Finacea is prescription only in the USA, and even with medical insurance, my co-pay for a 5-ounce tube was more than $100 US. Although the tube sold over the counter by PharmacyOnline Australia is smaller at 3 ounces, the cost savings -- even with international shipping -- means it is FAR more affordable.

I've tried many over the counter products, diet modifications, and cleanliness changes to combat my acne. The product combined with benzoyl peroxide face washes, salicylic acid containing face moisturizer and daily shaving keeps my acne at bay (oiliness, redness, pimples). Not 100% perfect, but I would be unable to keep my face under control without it . The high concentration of azelaic acid is definately the key component. Make sure to apply with face moisturizer or it can appear as a white film on your face. It will sting too - especially in the first two weeks of applying. With mild, twice a day applications, one tube should last about 3 weeks. Shipping takes a little less than two weeks (give or take) to get to Eastern USA. Effective gel that works wonders
3 August 2021

I knew 15% azelaic acid is what I needed for my rosacea. For whoever wants to get this prescription medication in the US, don’t waste your money getting it from any US pharmacies. My derm proscribed me one tube and it costed me 90 dollars with insurance. Shipping took around a week to west coast, even faster than domestic shipping. Highly recommend!

I ordered this from the US as my insurance costs are $160 per tube. Finacea works the best for my rosacea as opposed to other treatments. Shipping only took about ten calendar days international to the West coast! I can order multiple tubes and even with shipping it is less than my US insurance costs. I will be a long term Customer!

Not sure

I live in the US so it took a while before I received my purchase. I only been using this cream for a couple of weeks, therefore; I can not truly and honestly review this product. But so far it has not purged my skin. Did got a couple of pimples the 1st week of using it. I am using this in addition to other skin care. I think it may take at least a month or more before I can really evaluate the result. But so far I am glad that I made the purchase.

Really impressed!

I’ve been using this for almost a month. I have rosacea, my main issue is redness. I didn’t expect it to start working so quickly or so well. I had heard some people break out worse or have a flare up at the beginning, but this didn’t happen for me. It calmed my redness significantly within 3 days of use (blueberry sized blob, nightly). It also helped with blackheads and, touch wood, I’ve have zero cystic acne since using it. I wash my face and wait 10-15 minutes before applying as I’ve heard it can burn if you apply right after washing. I then apply a moisturizer over it. No burning, it seems very gentle, it does itch for about 10 minutes after application, but well worth that minor annoyance for the results. I’ve heard the itching lessens over time. Review from East Coast USA
27 July 2018

I was prescribed this medication for hormonal acne. I live in the USA, which everyone knows has one of the WORST healthcare/medical insurance systems for a "developed" country. It costs about $250 here, so obviously, this is a better choice. In regards to the actual product, Finacea, I absolutely LOVE it. However, you cannot be stingy with it; you really have to apply a liberal amount. This has been the ONLY thing that has helped my cystic hormonal acne, and believe me I have tried everything except Accutane. Everything. Shipping takes about 2 weeks to East Coast, USA, so plan accordingly.

US rosacea sufferers -- get this!
18 August 2020

This tube costs hundreds of dollars in the US. With shipping, I think I paid about US$30 for this from Chemist Direct. I've been using this cream every night for about a year (and a tube lasts about that long) and can confidently say that Azelaic acid -- plus eliminating the standard triggers (heat, sun, etc) -- has saved my skin. While my skin isn't flawless like it used to be, you would never know that I have rosacea. I have sensitive skin, so I don't wash my face at night as washing plus AA can cause stingy. I just put a thin layer of this all over my face and go to bed. In the morning I wash with water and use a tiny bit of Avene moisturizer. That's my whole skin routine.

Why buy this in the states?
14 January 2019

I am very happy I decided to purchase this product through pharmacy online. A medical esthetician recently told me it looked like I had rosacea. I had been struggling with acne on and off for the past 2 years and was using an rx of .04 % Retin A micro to prevent clogged pores. I was still getting pustules with Retin A use even after 4 months. The peeling was still unbearable and my skin felt RAW. I was going to go back to my dermatologist to ask for a treatment plan hoping he would prescribe this, instead I found it here and was able to purchase for around $35 w/ shipping compared to $300 with my insurance. Needless to say, it was a much lower risk financial decision for me. As for the product...it has greatly reduced the inflammation and redness in my cheeks...it also has brought down a pimple that has been lingering under the skin for a month. I am impressed so far with the product and the price. I did a lot of research on Azelaic Acid before deciding to buy finacea. I hope this resolves my acne, redness, and pie/pih. I hope all acne sufferers give this one a try. For some reason, it’s like a secret ingredient not many people talk/know about in the states?
