We love the Fischer and Paykel Fridge. It is really versatile. The top section is fridge and with the two doors at the top you have extra wide shelving . The freezer is the bottom 2 doors with separate drawers and icemaker. It gives easy access to your frozen foodstuffs as opposed to a conventional bottom freezer fridge that you virtually have to empty to find stuff..The right hand part of the freezer can separately change the temperature so if you need more fridge space simply change the settings to fridge settings and voila. We are very happy with our new F&P 538L Quad Door fridge. The build is strong. It's very quiet. Lots of room to place all your jars and bottles in the door area. Really enjoy the large space to place extra large platters easily on the shelf. The freezer section has deep draws and I love how I can place items in different compartments so I can find everything easily. The only down side I think is that the fruit & Veg draws could have been bigger.

Loving this fridge. Really like the two door freezer arrangement with drawers. Great for keeping frozen food organised, and keeping the cool air in as I only need to open half the freezer at once. Same goes for the fridge. Easy to place food to either side or in either door, so again the whole fridge is not fully open when getting something out. I have already noticed my vegetables are staying much fresher than in my old fridge. Wide shelves make it easy to see everything at a glance. It is on wheels so can be pulled out easily for cleaning behind the fridge (as needed) and it looks great too.

Very useful and well designed fridge layout. Ability to convert one door bay into a fridge or a freezer at the touch of a button greatly increases its utility over conventional designs. French doors to the main fridge area enables large platters to be stored and accessed. All components feel solidly made. Shelves glide easily on rollers. Only gripe is that the glossy surface finish on the stainless steel doors shows up every smudge and fingerprint necessitating regular cleaning

Our last fridge (a Samsung with external water & ice dispenser and quick access door for milk, drinks etc) lasted 12 years -without issue. After over a decade since needing to look for a fridge, most if not all manufacturers are no now longer offering either external ice dispensing and/or a quick access door to milk/drinks. That situation was a bit underwhelming. Although this F&P fridge actually was a better fit for our fridge space (smaller capacity but better layout) we had to accept we needed to go backwards in terms of bells and whistles currently on offer - across the board. An improvement here would be to have a easy release of drawers, so they can be cleaned (they are currently screwed in). Also, it was very disappointing to see the constant deposit of fingerprints on the stainless steel front. No matter how careful, fingerprints are noticeable ALL the time. Just as unimpressive is the decision to adhere the large energy rating sticker right on the front of the stainless steel door - in a way that makes it impossible to remove, even in 2mm sections, without leaving marks!!! Surely Fisher and Paykel could either stick this semi-permanent ugliness on the side wall instead OR use glue that doesn't stay on the stainless steel quite so furiously OR just put the energy information in the fridge documentation pack that comes with the fridge. Plenty of other customers have been highlighting this in the past, but F&P are yet to address this issue. We also had another issue when we first received delivery. The fridge came into the house with a large dent in the side & back corner wall. Apparently the fridges are unboxed upon delivery to customers / just prior to installation (we were busy emptying our old fridge to witness this). If we had not asked the delivery guys not to push it into the kitchen cavity (due to having to wait for others to connect the fridge to plumbing for the water dispenser) we would not have had a chance to notice the substantial dent at all. Even so, the delivery guys had just left when we noticed it. We called the store and ultimately we made the decision to wait for a replacement fridge. Not ideal. If there was a better level of quality control, all the way down the line, perhaps this sort of issue would not be left to the customer - at the end of the line, to find and to address as it causes the customer (who just paid several thousand dollars for a manufacturers product that should be expected to arrive undamaged and in perfect order in every way). Doesn't really start the experience off on a great foot.
Wanted more fridge space for family. Looked at lots of models. This is the best fridge hands down. Great sturdy shelves allow you to fit big items in. The drawers are on solid runners that are easy to open. The variable temp lower fridge is amazing. I use it for meat and beer. Get several extra days out of meat.
Love the look and functionality of this fridge. The water dispenser disperses cold water now and the ice tray is great too as well as the water filter is inside the fridge in this one and humidity control fruit veg draws. The great thing about this fridge is the bottom right section that can be a fridge, chiller or freezer which adds more room as the second row of fruit veg draws is missing in this model. Super quiet and although the glass front highlights finger prints it's easier to clean with warm water and dry tea towel compared to stainless steel and since it's glass - no pesky magnets stick to this fridge.
Overall the high quality you expect from F&P, especially worth it for the quality of drawer sliders and adjustable shelves. Quite easy to clean. Two things I would love to see F&P do - why does this model not come flush, ie without handles, like the plumbed in version and the ice cube tray is tiny - why not one of those twisty ones, anything a bit more user friendly for the otherwise high standard and price Actually one more - could the electrical plug be one of those flat ones so we can get the unit closer to the wall
