The product is not well designed. I've been using the same style mask and machine for more than 10 years now, and this replacement is poorly designed. I presume it is a changed design hence why it is called Eson 2.The end of my nose slightly touches the start of the outlet opening and prevents the mask from being firmly fixed to my face. It regularly wakes me at night, due to this irritation.Previous versions were fine.

The mask is a bit fiddly to adjust. One needs to loosen side straps to comfortably remove the mask. This mask has the inlet at the front and as such does not lend itself to those who might toss and turn during the night. The nasal cushion is comfortable, but if you side sleep and press on the side of the device, it might tend to leak a bit. I am moving back to a nasal pillow mask due to this. This mask would work better for people who are back sleepers.

This was supposed to be an upgrade of the original Epson Nasal Mask, although it looks the same it's very different from the previous version.I took my new F&P Eson 2 Nasal CPAP/BiPAP Mask with Headgear on vacation with me and was kept awake all night with hissing from leaks. I would frequently have to shut off the machine and reposition (reseat) the mask to get a tight fit which would only last a few minutes and start leaking again. Sure I've had to adjust the older model, but only once or twice a night and frequently not at all. I've worn the earlier version of this mask for 5 years, and have never before had my wife wake me because of that mask whistling from the air leaks. Last week we almost had to sleep in separate rooms. Hopefully Eson does not stop making the previous version.

I bought Nasal Mask with Fitpack that didn't fit well. Instantly, I realized that the mask and head gear was uncomfortable and was leaking too much air. Within 6 days I packed and called in for RMA. Lofta ended refund ONLY for store credit and not full refund to my card. I find this unacceptable as I with be shopping in their store with one hand tied behind my back. Now, I am wasting my time and money arguing with them. This is ridiculous!
Both the mask and headgear are lite and almost unnoticeable.I’ve had this mask and headgear for about two (2) weeks. It was hard making the switch to this unit when I’ve had the same model and mfg for the past 20 years.I made the buying decision after talking to Stellan for about 15-20 min.; gaining his personal recommendstion.
As a CPAP user for over a decade, I have experienced several recognized brands of masks. This iteration from this New Zealand manufacturer is so light and comfortable that I initially awoke during the night on several occasions because I believed that it had fallen off because I could not hear that all too common whooshing sound that my mask can make after my face rolls on the pillow and it loosens, nor could I feel it pressing against any part of my face, upper lip, or head. FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, I DID NOT HAVE TO READJUST AND TIGHTEN THE MASK TO CREATE A SEAL. IT SEEMS TO SEAMLESSLY FLOAT ON MY FACE. Its as though the people who created this mask were sensitive to the pressure points a CPAP mask user encounters. Yes, I paid three times more for this mask than I did for my usual, go to, one when it is on sale, but without a doubt, this mask has it all; effortless comfort, economy of size and weight, superior head gear material, and the excellent customer service people at Direct Home Medical available to answer any and all questions. And, yes, their 30 day keep it or send it back guarantee applies. I really dont know how to put this, but I feel like my CPAP mask quest is over because I have finally found home.
I've been using this mask for about 4 or 5 nights after having used Eson 1 masks for years. I have to admit, I'm struggling a bit to say this version is better, though I desperately want it to be. The addition of a hose swivel coupling should be great, and was improvement enough to make me switch. But really, it does not seem to improve hose mangement in bed all that much. I do not like the improved diffuser at $18 each for replacement. The Eson 1 has a much less expensive design... not as slick, but effective. My leakage rates are about the same as with the Eson 1, both being acceptable. But my events rates seem to be on the rise with this new mask, and I cannot figure out why. Honestly, I do not have much data to rely on; I just created a ResMed myair account early this month (Oct), so it's only been a few weeks. But for these five nights of usage, I three of them fall into my top 4 event rates. Perhaps it will level out with time.I must say that Easy CPAP was extremely easy to order from, and with the most reasonable of prices. Shipping was only $3, and I received the mask in about 4 days via USPS, Florida to New York. I will order from them again.
Very comfortable mask. The diffuser clip works great to prevent whistling. The silicone is not to stiff or flexible and is comfortable to wear. It doesn't leave marks around my nose like some other masks do, and it also doesn't dig or cut in at any of the edges like some others do as well. The head gear fits well and is comfortable, but it will mark up your face like any if you rest directly on it. I use those velco pads and wrap them around the head straps, but not on the face straps and that seems to prevent any marks with giving the most comfort.
I've been using this mask for nearly two years. I've tried a number of Nasal style masks over the past 5 years of CPAP use. List: Wisp, Dreamwear with pillow and dual nasal insert type, Pico, Wisp, and this one F&P Eson 2. My favorites have been the Wisp, F&P Brevia, and this F&P Eson 2. These Wisp, Pico, and Eson 2 are very similar in design and function. Overall this Eson 2 works better for me over the Wisp. I used the Wisp for nearly two years, until I tried a number of other nasal type masks, and that's when I choose the Eson 2. The Eson 2 is my favorite, and I use it exclusively. Compared to the Pico and Wisp this Eson 2 is slightly quieter overall. However, there is a bit more "sound" when inhaling, but just a bit more compared to the Wisp. Compared to the Pico and Wisp this Eson 2 is slightly quieter overall. However, there is a bit more "sound" when inhaling, but just a bit more compared to the Wisp. The Wisp is also very quiet in use as well. Overall comfort goes to the Wisp. And the Wisp leaves the least amount of strap marks on my face. The Eson 2 leaves more strap marks. I tend to sleep on my right side about 80% of the time, and there is always a distinct strap mark on my right cheek that lasts for about half an hour. The greatest negative of the Eson 2 is that it leaves a red mark at the top bridge of my nose, and that mark can last a couple of hours, sometimes a bit more. The odd thing is that what is causing that mark. Where the mark is is where the top of the nasal mask rests. However, the mask if very pliable/squishy at that spot, with no hard part at all. That's why I find it very odd that it leaves such a deep and red mark that lasts too long. I've tried all kinds of adjustments to see if I can stop the mark, but no success. I wish that F&P would figure that out and fix what is causing this. I really like the Eson 2 a lot as it is quiet and especially because it leaks only rarely as it stays in place very well even when I turn to sleep on my other side or back. And when an occasional small leak happens all I need to do is slightly adjust my head on my pillow and it stops with little to no sleep interruption. If F&P could find a way to make a mask like the Eson 2 that didn't leave such a noticeable red mark at the bridge of my nose, then it would be PERFECT. As it is, this mask is almost there for me. I give it a 5 rating, but it's really a 4.75, as it could use a bit of improvement.
Mask straps are much stiffer and harder to adjust. The strap adjustment for top of the head is very hard to adjust and plastic piece that touches the skin has very sharp protrusions. I'm female so have to make sure my hair is bunched enough to keep them from touching my scalp. May be a problem for folks who are bald.
