Nothing like a good Thomas set with lots of options for change-up in play! I had some very happy kids in my house who were so excited to open and play as soon as they saw the box. We are big Thomas fans here and I love that this set goes with the newer Thomas and Friends show. My favorite feature about the set, though, is that there are six different track arrangements, so when the kids tire with one they can disassemble and build it new. As always, this set can be attached with our other Thomas tracks so we have quite the railway going! Directions are clear and easy for track setup so my 5 year old can follow them on his own. All around - a great toy!

My three year old was thrilled when he saw this train set. He likes to use the track switch to change where the train goes, and finds it so funny to put blocks on the track for the train to run into.The Thomas train tracks were easy to put together and the directions were easy to follow. I really like the concept of the 6 tracks in 1, but the tracks can be difficult to take apart. It took me longer to take apart the tracks then it did to build a new setup. On the plus side though once it is set up it stays together, and I have a little boy who can be rough with his toys. Overall I feel like this is a great train set and provides lots of fun for all my kids.

The set up took a little bit of time and it was time consuming trying to figure out what pieces to go where. Also it didn’t help that as I was building both my boys were running the train across the tracks before I finished so a few tracks got knocked off from time to time. Great train set for little kids! Easy to build and many options of track design for the kids to try different things. The directions were easy to follow along and the various track designs with labeled parts is really helpful. Because of the labeling and instructions even kids could have built it. Only comes with one train though and no cars. Having more cars or another character would have made it even better. We'll definitely have to get some add ons for it so that more than one kid can use it and not fight over the train. When train derails its easy to put back on the track and keep going. Too soon to tell about durability but the track seems very well made and snaps together securely without coming apart.

This is one of the best train track kits we have! It is so versitile and easy to make a bunch of different setups. The included directions give you 6 ideas, all with different loops, hills, and bridges. The star of the show though is the motorized train car. Once your hardwork is complete on the train, you can set the car and let it ride! The kids (ages 1 to 9) like to watch it go up and down and all around. My only complaint is with the battery life of the cars, but that may be related to the fact they are constantly going. Overall, we love this set and look forward to adding more to our train town.
This is good sized set! There are so many track combinations that can made with just this set alone! It would be a great starter set for someone. It comes with two bridges (which double as underpasses), many different pieces for elevation, enough track to turn around several times, and Percy! The manual includes several different track plans so you can change it up for the kids. The one shown is the plan that uses the most pieces. It's the kids' favorite. We plan on connecting their other tracks at a later time and adding more trains to make a giant track!
