I would have given five stars, but they are a bit hard to open and close. The movement is very stiff and it doesn't take long to get tired trying to use them. I was a little disappointed as Fiskars is supposed to have a good reputation.

My husband and I trim the trees and shrubs around our yard a few times a year especially in spring and summer when they grow faster. Unfortunately the handles consistently fell off! I’m not that strong lol but these definitely didn’t hold up well for me an average size woman. They were sharp enough to handle our flowering pear trees new branch growth but not anything over that size of about 1” inch around. After this season they also rusted . Would be nice if we didn’t seem to be purchasing a new pair every year. :/

This tool is amazing . Makes trimming the hedges almost effortless ! I’m so happy I bought this and permanently retired my old trimmer !!

I thought I was purchasing the extendable type of hedge shears due to the first picture...apparently I was not paying attention enough...I'm sure these will be perfect.....
These shears are expected fisker quality. I especially appreciate that they are not bulky, but easily handled.
These shears are great for trimming the small bushes in front of my house. They're lightweight but sturdy and the blades are serrated for easier cutting. My arms weren't nearly as fatigued after using these as they have been using other shears. Really pleased with this purchase.

These are the best hedge shears I've ever owned. I'd highly recommend them.
The blades were already bent and did not close all the way when I bought it. I should have returned it then, but decided it still worked, just not as good as it should, and kept it.Problem seems to be getting worse and it is effecting the cutting ability.
Efficient garden shears, I'll be sure to take better care of these because the last pair were left outside and suffered all sorts of deterioration from the weather and elements.
