I bought this weeder for my front lawn & never thought I'd enjoy weeding. Great leverage for larger weeds however you may need to go a little deeper & have two goes at it. It would be great if prongs were 2cm longer & my wife said exactly the same, however it got the job done in the end! the results speak for themselves.

I have bought about 4 of these over the years. They work ok but not as well as the steel ones with deeper prongs and a higher curved plate for leverage. The biggest problem is that all of my aluminium Fiskars weeders ended up breaking a prong on a thick and tough weed. Cast aluminium is just not strong enough to last.I love Fiskars as a brand though and have MANY of their tools!

This weeder really helps to get out the tough weeds roots and all. I do leave a few holes in the ground though :)

Really good quality product, no complaints there. However the prongs are a big short and the leverage isn't great. I've found the Cyclone weeder much more efficient.
great for getting long tap root weeds out of the lawn
Good tool for small weeds, struggles with larger ones (where you need more leverage). Great rubberized handle, does not slip in your hand when using gloves (ones with wooden handle keep slipping)
Pros: As it’s made of aluminium(*) it doesn’t bend. That’s a very good thing & the reason why I haven’t awarded it one star.Cons: 1) The tines are too thick and badly shaped and angled. Therefore it’s hard to locate the roots of the weeds easily or get a hold on them once you’ve located them.2) The rocker section that provides the leverage is not high enough. Should be 50% higher at least for the sake of good usability.I do not recommend this hand weeder.* The stainless steel hand weeders I’ve tried aren’t any good either as they bend within a few months of use in clay soil. That’s why I’m looking for a carbon steel one.
Smashed through a tonne of grass weeds with this. Seems very strong and was able to pull up most of the roots.
If I would give a zero star, I would 100% give this one. Please save your money and buy something else, like the Grandma's weed puller which can grip the weed in a better way and allow pulling it off with the root intact.I have used this tool and the 15mm V-shaped opening coupled with the tool design isn't ideal to grip the weed and pull it off with its root intact. The root gets cut-off regularly and to add to insult, the V-shaped opening retains the soil with has to be tapped off or nudged off using another tool before pulling the next weed out.Stay away from these tools as they aren't capable of doing a good job!
I just hate I didn't buy this earlier! This weeder is very sturdy, easy to grab, to push down, and the weed got out with long root underneath. Happy to recommend to everyone.
