I love the rotary/ruler combo. This makes cutting so much easier and more accurate. The one thing I wish it had was a handle in the middle of the ruler to grab with the other hand for some extra pressure. This would keep it from moving when cutting. The only negative is that this was 1/2 the price 3 years ago, no changes at all.

Better than using a rotary cutter with a ruler

This rotary ruler is very good for making a straight cut. This is a big improvement over a hand-held rotary cutter where cutting a straight line can be a challenge, even with a straight edge. My only issue with it is that the package says it will cut up to 8 layers of cloth, but I have difficulty getting it to cut through just two layers. On the plus side, if I don't apply enough pressure to cut the entire length of the cloth, I can easily re-cut the parts I missed without making jagged edges.

Can't sew without it

Since I bought one of these two years ago, I find that I seldom use my scissors anymore. Having the rotary blade attached to the ruler guide is such a big plus and allows me to cut accurately every time with no slips. I use it for any sewing that requires a straight cut and it is perfect for cutting quilt pieces. I like it so much that I bought one this year as a Christmas gift for my daughter.

Works perfectly, straight cuts, easy measuring, can cut up to 8 fabrics at a time even. I really love it. Only small issue is the ruler is a kind of thin plastic which seems easily breakable if dropped, but it’s still the best option by far. Highly recommend over a handheld rotary cutter

How the numbers are printed on the cutting board

The numbers don’t go backwards so it’s hard to figure out how many inches you need with out counting backwards. I had the gray cutting board before and the numbers were backwards as well as forwards.I do love the this cutting board. This is my third one. I use it a lot .

Like the gripping edge.

I like the gripping edge which keeps the fabric being cut from moving. The grid lines take a bit getting used to as they are triple lines, especially when cutting precise quilting pieces. I would like for it to have a lock position to cover the blade like my Sew Easy ones have. Have to be careful not to put it down on any fabric too hard, or hit yourself when carrying it as the blade could possibly cut. Otherwise, I do like it. I also have the 12 x 12. Same goes for it.

No cutting fingers!!

This tool has cut my time in half when I am making a fleece throw. It's amazing how straight it cuts without having to worry about cutting your fingers! I haven't tried it yet for quilting, but I am sure that it will save me much time with that also.

Rotary Ruler Combo Problem Solver!

I broke my previous quilting ruler and was shopping for a new one. I saw this combo rotary cutter and knew it would be a great upgrade. I sometimes run my rotary cutter over my quilting ruler scoring the ruler and ruining the blade. With this combo the problem is solved!

Very annoyed.

Product was very good. My complaint is that the ruler arrived in a gigantic box big enough for a 5 year old child to play in. Totally ridiculous to say the least. I thought it was a piece of furniture delivered by mistake. This was a huge inconvience to me to have this ridiculous size box in my apartment in the middle of my kitchen, and now I have to dispose of it. Such a waste of packing material. The next day I received another item in the same size box, so now I have 2 of these humongous boxes to deal with. My mailroom had to deliver them to my door as I would not have been able to handle it. Absurd.

Wow, just wow!!

This ruler combo makes cutting strips a breeze. Easily cuts through 4-6 layers as long as the blade is sharp. Doesn't shift because you are applying downward pressure along the track vs pushing a blade against a ruler.
