I'll start this by saying it is a very nice smartwatch. The band material is soft, overall it's very light and not bad to wear, the heart rate monitor and blood oxygen monitor seem accurate and it has good battery life. When the professional reviews say it has a small screen, they aren't just saying it because it's small compared to other smart watches. The viewable area of the smartwatch is actually small. The large text display is also an improvement for reading the time. The App is user friendly and you have the option of taking up the monthly or yearly Premium data plan for those who want to delve more deeply into what is going on with their exercise and sleep responses etc. I personally am happy with the non subscription offerings. The price Myer was selling for was comparable to other sites but on sale, it was a great deal. I bought this fitness tracker to replace my Fitbit Inspire 2 which had stopped working a couple of days before the Inspire 3 was released. I only used the step count facility on my previous Fitbit trackers and wanted a wrist band size tracker rather than one with a full size watch face as I always wear a separate wrist watch. I did not think that the Inspire 2 could be improved on for my needs. How wrong I was! The much improved screen with its colour display has opened up a whole new set of facilities to me because I can now read the screen so much better than for the Inspire 2. It is well worth the extra money for the improved model.

Excellent Tracker

After a brief trial period with a hand-me-down Apple Watch SE, I bought the Inspire 3. I always have my phone with me so the added features of a smart watch seemed somewhat redundant to me e.g. phone calls, messages, etc. I just wanted the basic fitness & health features of a fitness tracker. After some brief research the Inspire 3 seemed to hit the mark and for the price, if it was a fail, it's not like I was out the several hundred dollars of a smart watch. I like that it's small, light weight and comfortable. Actually, it's easy to forget you're wearing it. Battery life is stellar compared the nightly charge of the Apple. I charge every Sunday morning while having coffee. This morning I plugged it in and it was still at 63% charge after a week's use. I charge every Sunday morning while having coffee. This morning I plugged it in and it was still at 63% charge after a week's use. Mind you, I don't have it set to "always on" and rarely touch/use it at all. I just let it do it's "tracking" in the background. This brings me my next point, the app. The app is very intuitive, user friendly and syncs perfectly with the watch. The screen on the tracker is quite small and honestly not very usable - at least not for my 53 year old eyes (unless wearing my reading glasses). But everything you need to see is nicely viewable "real time" on your phone via the app. I find the watch/app reminds and commends me often to help you reach your daily goals. The food tracker (if you want to track calories) is excellent. A great library of food/calories is already there and it's real easy to add things manually if not in the library. I'm heading to BB this a.m. to get a price match as it's $30 off currently and I'm within my 30 days of purchase. While there, I think I'll buy my wife one. Highly recommend the Inspire 3.

I bought this as a replacement for an older version and I am very happy with it. After years of a one colour screen, this fitbit is a breath of fresh air. The colours are great, theres lots of variety to make it interesting. I frequently use the timers, alarms and am just trying to get into the habit of using the mindfulness/relax exercise. This purchase came with 6 month free trial to fitbit premium. I have signed up and am using the challenges and games to motivate my fitness regime. All in all, am very happy.

Fitbit removing functionality and features
13 March 2023

As of March 27, 2023 Fitbit is removing functionality and features including open groups, adventures and challenges. There are many trackers and smartwatches available including Garmin, Galaxy and Apple that will provide health analytics and step counts. Google bought Fitbit and is now selling their Google Pixel smartwatch using the Fitbit platform. It appears fitbit will be phased out, especially when they are removing the distinguishing features of connectivity with friends and family through challenges. They are not a good investment and I have buyers regret.

Great features
4 November 2022

I bought this a few days ago. Seems worth the money. Step counter is a bit off, and got a notification I had done a bike ride when I had been brushing my teeth…(maybe best used on non-dominant arm). Otherwise fab features, easy to use with the app, easy to record food intake, weight, steps, exercise etc. I selected the free trial of Fitbit premium straight away so not sure if free features are in depth enough. Was a bit of a faff to find how to set up whatsapp and emails to it (found help on the Fitbit community page). Good battery life and no issues with disconnecting/unpairing from phone so far. Quite happy with the product.

Inexpensive introdution to Health Trackers

After a price reduction by a third, the Inspire 3 was great value for money. The compact display can be swiped in multiple directions for many metrics and options. It seems to measure most parameters seen on the more expensive smartwatches though without an adequate display for additional features. The small display, only takes up a portion of the whole glazed area, means very little can be actioned directly from the watch face. It can be readily accessed on a paired smartphone's app. Touch screen response and haptics are more than adequate. The sleep metrics are highly regarded in independent reviews - comparing favorably with pricy top notch Apple watches. The sleep metrics are highly regarded in independent reviews - comparing favorably with pricy top notch Apple watches. As I take my smartphone most places, the lack of GPS on the Inspire 3 is no issue. There is no noticeable drain on the phone's battery. I don't have an issue with the trackers battery life. Charging every day or two for fifteen minutes keeps it topped up. The auto-wake feature at end of sleep cycle closest to the morning alarm is useful. Quibbles with the app: The app displays many metrics' history in calendar weeks and months not the last 7 or 30 days. On Tuesday 3rd, there is one record in weekly view and two in the monthly view. As a far as I can see, no benefit to anyone. Except in Health Metrics, there doesn't seem to be ways of easily comparing current metrics with medium and long term trends in the phone app. When recording a cycle ride, the fitbit still counts steps. So after 3.5hrs on the road bike, the app loudly displays 21,000 steps on the top metric when in fact there were none - well possible a couple of dozen. Care is required to properly position correctly on wrist before exercise with an elasticated sleeve or compression band hold it in place. Slight detachment of the sensors from skin when wrists are tensed leads to erroneous HR readings. Overall though a great low cost introduction to smartwatches. Maybe I will upgrade next year or, its looking more likely, I'll consider this is more than sufficient.

Inspire 3 activity tracker

Fits my largish wrist perfectly. Does everything I needed without extras I would never use. Monitors my sleep well, has oxygen and heart rate monitors. I’m not sure that the sleep scores reflect how well I slept. The overall sleep data however completes this area easily. Monitors my activity by counting steps and telling the period of time since last active, sometimes hours for me. Has multiple other functions as well and comes with a free 6 month subscription to premium. Just extra assessment of your data, helpful. I would recommend this FitBit tracker

The Fitbit Inspire 3 is an improvement on previous versions and has a great range of features to boot! The design follows the trend of the latest smart phones and watches, with rounded corners on the main face. It has a great range of features, starting most notably with the colour screen. This can be customised from approximately a dozen options using the fitbit app, allowing a degree of personalisation not available in earlier models. It has a range of functions, including a clock and alarm function, step counter, heart rate monitor, sleep monitor, exercise monitoring and perhaps my favourite thing - the ability to display (and respond with templates replies) text messages from your phone (provided your phone is in close proximity to you)! All in all if you're looking for a fitness and health tracker but don't fancy a smart watch and without looking to spend a fortune, then the Fitbit Inspire 3 is going to do the trick! The Fitbit app itself is very intuitive to use as well!
