And it is, but a bit snug if youāre planning layers under it. If it ever wears out Iāll go with a large the next time. Zipper is the only real negative I can find. Itās YKK, but itās plastic and cumbersome to join when wanting to zip up. Iāve taken to using the snaps only unless itās windy or raining. 4 stars for the zipper and sizing, otherwise Iād give it 5.

Looks great, construction is durable, and its survived one rainstorm with flying colors (I did add waterproofing wax per the manufacturer recommendation). Iād give it 5* except for one thing - thereās no liner or insulation of any kind. The interior of the jacket is literally just the seams of the outer canvas. Not attractive (not that the inside really needs to be) and not very warm. You will definitely want to layer up underneath if you want to use this as a winter jacket. Overall Iām still happy with the purchase, especially for the price, and itās going to get a lot of use this winter.

This is a beautiful shell jacket, essentially a 60/40 or 65/35 as per the poly/cotton blend. While I havenāt worn it much yet, I can tell you that youāll need to wax it for waterproofness in heavy downpours. It will excel in cold, high output activity, where the material will repell snow, yet breathe very well.Size wise I am normally a medium, but purchased a large to allow for layering - this will work very well in winter. Zipper is double and monstrous. Oddly, the hood has no drawstring yet fortunately fits me very well--don't know about a windstorm, though. Nice details mixed with odd ones. Price is always hard to judge, but personally I think that if you paid full price for this jacket, you'd be disappointed, Wait for a sale.
Really like this jacket. It's great for 3-season general outdoors use. Obviously not great in the rain, and haven't tested it yet in windy conditions.Pros: comfortable (prior to waxing), plenty of pockets for storage, generally good cut (more on that in the cons).Cons: once waxed the material becomes more rigid and less comfortable; as a climber I find it tight in the shoulders (though this is true of most clothes), but since the material is not stretchy it can be restricting.Overall, a very satisfied customer!
An interesting jacket, can be a breathable and less water resistant with G1000 fabric, or with application of waxing, can become a heavier, more water and wind resistant. The fabric feels a bit stiffer at first and is quite heavy, not like typical a goretex shell, but trade-off is much higher durability and easier (potential) repairability. Sizing seems regular to slim so depends on your build and how you layer. Would certainly recommend.
Great spring jacket, so far has been very functional and durable, keeps wind out and water and snow bead up and roll off. Please understand this is just a shell, no liner, which is perfect over a heavy flannel here in the upper midwest where we still get snow showers in mid April, then sunny and 60 the next day! I purchased this as a closeout from Moosejaw and love the dark green color, I also have a wool padded winter Fjallraven jacket in light green. 6ft, 175 lbs, thin athletic build and medium fits great in both jackets. I bought this a month ago and really cant find any use for it. Full disclosure I thought it had lining and could be used as a winter jacket but there is no lining. Its not really a rain jacket because its a bulky cotton-poly mix material than feels stiff almost like burlap. While it looks good on the outside it shows a quite unseemly interior. It provides a very tight fit and the zipper is quite cheaply made. This is strictly a fashion jacket at an unreasonably high price point tbh.
I bought this jacket just before a trip to Dublin, Ireland and it was perfect. Itās great for those cool damp days. It is just a shell, so you need a cozy sweater underneath to keep warm. It does cut the wind and the rain beads up with the wax coating. Plenty of pockets and can take a beating with the g1000 fabric. I own a lot of Fjallraven clothing and jackets and have always been impressed with the brand.
