This is a good quality very light loft jacket that works well for layering. Note that Fjallraven calls this a 'loft hoodie' and not a jacket. For low level outdoor activity you'll likely want something heavier if the temp is below 5C. However, when active (running or nordic skiing) then I find this is perfect over a good base layer and underneath a windproof shell. Like other Fjallraven pieces, the fit is best for taller builds as the sleeves and hem are long. The L fits perfectly under my L Keb shell as expected.

For the right intended use, this is my all time favorite coat. We bought 50 of them and had company logo added and gave away. This was the single best giveaway we’ve ever done.Good as a mid layer or casual mid weight coat.Pockets don’t have zippers.Fit is true. The zipper is a little goofy on all Fjallraven coats, but you get used to it.

Fjallraven is reliably durable, and their Keb line is my favourite. Their gear is the kind you don’t have to baby, it’s meant for the outdoors and rough treatment. This partially replaces my Arc’Teryx Fission LT jacket which I will keep for light duty. The loft hoodie is a bit warmer, with no lighter/more breathable materials in the sides. It’s nice and long at the back so you don’t have to worry about cold drafts. Not shown very well but there are two hand warmer pockets in the sides that make this practical for normal use. It fits perfectly underneath the Keb Jacket, or any other hard or softshell. It has Euro sizing, so size up. I’m 5’9 and 210lbs and the Large fits perfectly.

To say that I am more than pleased with this jacket would be an understatement. There are no shortage of jackets out there that share a similar fabric style as this out in the world these days, but this jacket is noticibly different in its style. It is also incredibly warm considering the thickness of the material. I took a walk with my dog in this jacket yesterday when it was 45 degrees (f) outside, and I was more than comfortable with only a long sleeve shirt under it. When zipped all the way up, it fits perfectly to surround the face for colder days, and the hood fits your head like a glove. Personally I hate big hoods that don't do a great job of insulating or fitting the head, but this jacket provides the ideal fit. Thanks to all of the previous reviewers who ... Thanks to all of the previous reviewers who commented on size recommendations. I am 6' 3" and about 165 lbs. Normally I would be torn betwen a medium and a large for sizing, but most people commented that this jacket runs a little big, and it does. The medium is an absolute perfect fit for me; not too tight and not too baggy. Just enough room for a beefy underlayer if needed, but perfectly snug without one. Overall, could not be happier with this jacker from Fjallraven, and the always amazing customer service by Moosejaw. Buying this jacket in one word: Tremendous.
I got this jacket in the Fall of 2019 for my birthday. My first impression was that it was seriously comfortable. I'm a tall and lanky dude and the medium fit me well. The fabric is cozy, soft to the touch and yet surprisingly durable (still not enough to trust it around sharp tools, but more than something like a Micro Puff or other UL jacket). I have yet to put a hole in it. Its warmth is on par for a 60g synthetic jacket and I feel cozy in it around the low 50s/high 40s static and until the mid 20s when I'm active. The hood fits well, although the cord that fits it to your head can become uncomfortable after a while. I find that wearing the hood over a cap works well. Other than that, the jacket is solid.Things to keep in mind: This is not a technical jacket (although I have pushed it farther than I thought it could go), it has a casual feature set, and is built really well (on par with the other best-in-the-business brands). I wouldn't consider this jacket an amazing value, but it is still nice all the same.
This jacket has been great on its own for temperatures around 40F degrees and nice as a midlayer underneath a shell for temperatures below that or when it’s raining or snowing. Sizing seems to be consistent with other Fjallraven jackets I have. I’m 5’9” 145lbs and a small fits great. The material feels very nice and comfortable. Sleeves are a tiny bit long but not a negative for me. The front chest pocket is great and very convenient. Overall very happy with this purchase.
I bought this jacket a month ago in January and have been wearing it almost every day as my middle/outer layer in New England - yes a synthetic down (lightweight) "Hoodie" can keep you that warm in the winter (with proper layering). It doesn't get too hot though and will be perfect for fall and spring too. The styling is perfect for casual wear/athleisure paired with a pair of joggers. I am 5' 10" 175 lbs, and a medium fits me perfectly with plenty of space for shoulders and tight in the right spots near the waist. It is super comfortable to wear. The zipper was tricky for like two minutes when I was trying it at the store but once i realized you pull the bottom zipper all the way to the bottom first and then pull the second zipper after it's been super easy ever ... On the zipper note I totally disagree with that other reviewer and truthfully think anyone with a brain can open it after a few minutes learning to finagle with it. Lastly, I've used it as a mid layer a few times while skiing and it has worked perfectly. I've gotten several compliments on the jacket since I started wearing it (3 to be exact - not exaggerating). I highly recommend the jacket as something that looks great and functions highly in it's proper use.
When I honed in on Fjallraven for an insulated jacket, I narrowed the search between the Expedition Latt Hoodie and the Keb Padded Hoodie. I considered several factors: fit, function, and style. First, the fit: I wanted the jacket to be more fitted around the torso and arms, yet have room for a midlayer as needed. Second, the functionality - warm, breathable, durable, and versatile. And third, the style: great in town and on trail, looking extremely capable in both environments, not looking like your typical, trendy puffer. After purchasing the Latt and the Keb in S and XS, I settled on the Keb XS as it checked off most of what I wanted. The Keb is not as thick and puffy as the Latt, but the two jackets were equally warm and cozy at 55 degrees F with a shirt underneath. The Keb in XS is closer to the Latt in S around the torso, and the sleeves are narrower - which I prefer. The Keb is a softer material than the Latt, and the hood sits and feels better around the neck when not in use. The Latt's hood, however, feels warmer.Backcountry's customer service was great, not only in offering advice between the 2 jackets, but they made returning the items easy and pleasant.I hope to make use of this jacket for may years to come!
I really like this padded hoodie. The fabric is really soft on the inside and outside and the G-Loft insulation is pretty warm. I love that the hood is padded; I can feel warmth almost immediately after putting it up. I normally wear a L for most shirts and jackets and this one is just about perfect in L. It's just a little tight in the armpits, but if I shift it up just a tiny bit, I get more than enough dexterity for driving, doing things on the ground (like striking a ferro rod), all that good stuff. One nice thing too is that it's a little longer than most jackets of this size, so when pulled all the way down it almost covers my whole butt, but not quite. One nice thing too is that it's a little longer than most jackets of this size, so when pulled all the way down it almost covers my whole butt, but not quite. After moving around normally, it rides up to maybe 2 inches below my waist, so when I bend over, it almost never rides up above my waist. This extra length is perfect! Oh and the arms aren't too long, which is a typical issue for me with Fjallraven shirts, as I am not a typical lanky Scandinavian type (more avg height and a bit stocky). If the armpits had a tiny bit more room I'd say this fits me perfectly. At first I wished the side pockets had zippers so I never have to worry about anything falling out, but they are QUITE deep, so it would be hard for something to fall out. It definitely looks better without zipper pulls dangling on the sides and functionally it's not a huge deal, so I'm OK with it.There is a small stretchy pocket on the right upper chest that can fit a big wallet or something, but it's not super tight to the fabric so I don't know that I'll use it since I'd worry about something falling out. I would have preferred a small zippered pocket. Thankfully there is one on the outside. I think this jacket has barely just enough secure carrying capacity for outdoor excursions but it would have been better with zippers everywhere just so you know you won't lose anything. I still think it's valid for trekking though and I'll be using it at camp to stay warm.My only concern besides potentially losing an item in the inner chest pocket is scratching/tearing the outer fabric while bushwhacking for firewood and whatnot. It feels somewhat durable but I suspect it won't hold up too well to thorns or a properly sharp bush twig. Oh well, that is the trade-off you make for soft fabric. I don't think I would have bought this if it used G-1000 Eco/Lite. If I plan on doing any real bushwhacking I will just put my rain jacket over it.Overall I really like this jacket and will likely be wearing it for the entire fall as my outer layer with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath, and possibly the Fjallraven Canada Shirt as it gets colder. I'll wear it into the winter as well but will need a thicker coat over the top. I already want to wear it everywhere and it's not cold enough yet! Well done Fjallraven.
My partner has solid M size. This jacket in size S fits perfectly. Not bulky wat warm, can wear casually - does not scream "I am for outdoor hiking". Room for sweater. Very elegant and well designed. Very happy with looks, quality and color choices. Used to like Atom by Arcterix, but this one is a definite step up with similar cost. I se lots of comments for too long arms. While we had to crop few other jackets for my partner, this one is perfect. Not sure why folks complain... But if one want to alter it - its very easy with this product. Will buy again and recommend! In person it is better than photos. Olive color looks darker than on photos, very very pleased with the shade - classy.
