I had been constantly dealing with leaks from the liner in my pool for years and was finally ready to just replace my pool. The pool patch and repair kit by Flex Seal allowed me to repair the liner of my pool and save thousands of dollars. It is extremely easy to use and my favorite aspect is that it works underwater, meaning there is no need to drain your pool! The rubberized Flex Tape is extremely durable and creates a waterproof seal that is sure to last for years to come. I would highly recommend that anyone dealing with leaks in their liner try this product before replacing their liner or pool. You will save lots of money!

I first used flexseal about 3 years ago when we decovered a screw head had rusted off and fell into the pool. It had caused a very small hole, but we lost a good amount of water before we figured out what was wrong. The product is easy to use, other than I am not a swimmer, so staying down on the bottom of my pool and making sure it covers the area AND its flat... was difficult for me. Other than that, it works ideally. It, afterall, is just a tape! I think the true key to it is, to put a heavy SMOOTH large item on top of it, for a day or two. I can not comment on the glue though as I do not have a tile area.

So far, so good. Holes aren't leaking.

I like the fact that the plastic patch material is thicker than what we've been previously using to make repairs to small holes in our pool. I don't like the fact that the tube of adhesive isn't going to last too long given all our pool liner issues. We've also used it on some inflatables, but to get the best seal I'd advise you to deflate the item, put on a patch that has rounded edges, and then put it under something heavy like a food books. Make sure you use glue all the way out to the edges so the patch doesn't peel up in time. Only time will tell if all our patches stay put or not.

Like that it adheres well; dislike that it's very hard to cut. I used it to patch 4 cuts in my patio door screen that resulted when a metal rod struck the screen during a windstorm. I hoped the clear tape would be less obvious than the black duct tape I had used originally. For some reason, we can't remove the door to have the screen replaced; two expert handymen are puzzled by this door and for me to have a repair company come to the house, it will cost me $250. I am going to wait until the spring to address the problem again. Until then, I hope the tape will do the job of keeping out critters.....

Super easy to use; environmentally friendly

I have been searching for a do-it-yourself repair solution for our large hard plastic pond liner with a long crack, as you can see in the photos, one that was environmentally friendly so that I could continue to use it as a garden pond. Flex Tape is the perfect choice. After washing the liner and letting it dry completely, I cut a long strip of the 4 inch wide Flex Tape, rounded the corners of the strip with kitchen shears, and carefully peeled off the protective backing. I was surprised at how thick yet flexible the Flex Tape is. I was able to carefully place one long edge on the outside of the liner and then slowly work the tape into and onto the plastic molded-bubble bottom outside the crack and then slowly ease and smooth it across the crack and up the side of ... MoreI have been searching for a do-it-yourself repair solution for our large hard plastic pond liner with a long crack, as you can see in the photos, one that was environmentally friendly so that I could continue to use it as a garden pond. I was able to carefully place one long edge on the outside of the liner and then slowly work the tape into and onto the plastic molded-bubble bottom outside the crack and then slowly ease and smooth it across the crack and up the side of the liner.A second strip was laid down on top of the first strip, starting a little further in toward the side, and it too was easy to place precisely where I wanted it. I placed a spare paving stone on top of the crack inside the liner to weigh it down, bringing the two sides of the crack in contact with each other and with the Flex Tape. When using this Flex Tape, be sure you start it carefully right where you want it, making sure there are no wrinkles or bubbles as you continue to lay it down and smooth it in place as it seals tightly as soon as it is down, and you cannot lift it again to reposition it.The next day I cut another strip of the Flex Tape, rounded the corners, and sealed the crack again from the inside of the liner. The final step was to add water and let the liner sit overnight on the back deck. There was no leakage at all. From personal experience, I highly recommend Flex Tape as a truly versatile product whenever you need a watertight seal.

Unbelievable
29 March 2023

Honestly, I can't believe this worked. We had water leaking from where the filter attaches to the side of the pool but we could not figure out how it was leaking or where it was leaking from necessarily. It was the oddest thing. I remembered I had this in a cabinet and I cut off two small strips of the tape. Since we were unable to find wher the inside of the pool was leaking, I just pushed the tape onto the side of the pool where the filter meets it and tried to secure the tape to the wet rubber as best I could. I mean, I had ZERO faith it would stick or adhere at all, but lo and behold, it did. And the water stopped leaking. I did the same awkward smush of tape in the little crease and BINGO! Leak stopped! Very Sticky Tape that Bonds Well
3 September 2019

I got an opportunity to try the FLEXTAPE Clear, Large 4” X 5’ and have to say that it is an ok product. The Flex Tape is described as being a super strong, rubberized, waterproof tape that can patch, bond seal and repairs virtually everything. It is specially formulated with a thick flexible, rubberized backing that conforms to any shape or object. This is great but it makes it kind of hard to take off roll and cut it is very sticky. I used it in my bathroom and had a very hard time cutting and getting it off because if you are not careful it will stick to itself. Other than that this is a great tape versus other tapes and it comes in a variety of colors such as clear which is what I got and it also comes in white and black.I do wish that it was a little more on ... MoreI got an opportunity to try the FLEXTAPE Clear, Large 4” X 5’ and have to say that it is an ok product. Other than that this is a great tape versus other tapes and it comes in a variety of colors such as clear which is what I got and it also comes in white and black.I do wish that it was a little more on the roll but it did get the job completed that I needed it for. This tape would surely be good for window time if you wanted to put around your window or doors if you have any kind of air coming in which this would help keep heat in and air out. This tape says it can be applied hot, cold, wet or dry even underwater but not too sure about that. It is suppose to instantly seal out water, air and moisture to create a super strong flexible, watertight barrier.FLEX Tape is UV resistant, environmentally friendly, VOC- free and has a wide range of temperatures so it can be used in extreme weather conditions.I must say it does bond like glue and if it happens to gain strength overtime it would be perfect. The only con like I stated is that it is not enough on roll. I suggest using a very sharp pair of scissors or box cutter to cut product but this makes sense because it is very strong.I recommend giving this tape a try and see if you like it and it has a variety of uses but it is very very sticky. Absolutely I say gives this tape a try.

Our hot tub developed a leak in the seam that we had been unable to fix. I thought for sure it was trash-bound. However, I decided to try Flex Seal Pool Patch and Repair Kit as a last ditch effort and I'm so glad I did. I followed the instructions on the package, first applying a patch on the inside seam and then on the outside. I let it sit overnight to make sure it cured and then filled the tub with water. Voila! No more leak. I like that this package also comes with Flex Seal Glue which I can use for things other than my hot tub or pool. This is definitely a life saver!

Would give it 0 if I could

I have a very small pinhole leak in a vinyl pool liner. I thought I would give this a shot to seal it. Again, tiny pinhole leak, drip drip drip not a 12" gash. I open the tape and attempt to gut off a piece and almost cannot because the adhesive is so thick and gummy. I think "ok this is promising." I struggle and cut a round circle to prevent having corners that could peel up. And how the moment of truth, I slap the patch on the wall and as I am starting to smooth it out with pressure, it is just slip sliding all over the wall. After a minute or so I am unable to get it to stop moving when I press so I peel it back off, and it comes off with no resistance at all. So I cut a strip and just dip in the water and pull it back out and touch it. Same thing, the adhesive is no longer sticky. I am not sure how you could possibly make an underwater repair with this stuff if the water causes the adhesive to lose stickiness immediately upon contact. This stuff is worse than useless, it is a complete scam.

You can think out of the box with this stuff

This stuff is amazing, expensive, but amazing. I needed to replace a broken oven control overlay, thats the plastic key pad film. But the replacement overlay is nolonger made so I bought a simular one and spliced it to fit with a seam down the middle. I then covered it with this clear flex tape. The 4 inch was perfect to do it in one piece, you can't see the seem in the middle of the overlay. The rubber makes it water proof and flexible so the keypad can easily be pressed and its clear enough that no one would ever guess its not factory and I'm quite this will protect the new overlay from ever wearing out. Expensive, but way cheaper than a new range.Be careful when using it, I don't think I've ever encountered something so sticky and if you let the sticky sides ... MoreThis stuff is amazing, expensive, but amazing.
