I put off getting a retractable leash for years cause I kept hearing they were dangerous or taught your dog bad habits. I was stupid. Getting this has made walkies so much easier and enjoyable. She’s a little doggo and doesn’t yank on the leash so I’m able to walk her at night and carry the lead and a small flashlight in the same hand and give she plenty of room to walk and stop and sniff everything.

Well designed! Comfortable to hold and very smooth operation. The temporary lock is very easy to lock, which I could see being very helpful to anyone with weak hands or arthritis. The hold lock feature is smooth as well, easy to manipulate. The leash is allowed to extend and retract in a wide array of angles without binding which has been a great feature for our use.

I am not usually a fan of retractable leads, as I have extremely strong dogs, but this FLEXI RETRACTABLE LEAD - LARGE is made to hold up to 50 kgs. So I am now a lover of FLEXI. I've also given a review for the same product, in size medium. With a comfortable handle, strong lead tape, connection slot for other accessories that FLEXI make. They make a LED light, a treat bag, a poo bag holder. You definitely get value for money, I now definitely recommend.

This is the second one of these we have had and this one looks as good as the first. Well made and just feels like quality. There have been one or two minor changes to the design but is essentially the same. We did not even bother looking at anything else as we so trust this brand. BTW first one has not failed it is just that it has been abused somewhat and my wife wanted a different colour. It's still totally functional and being kept as a spare. Has been in constant use for five years.

Grip stinks, I got my last leash from Petco and it rocks. Has the rubber-ish grip and it just feels secure. This one is semi so-so. Don't like slick grip especially since we're in a cold State (MT) and this leash was for my kids and if puppy pulls it's harder to hang onto for them. Price and leash itself is great so Rate is more like a 3.5
Nice, sturdy lead. Our 26+kg pup gives a good tug at times, and cheaper retractable leads can get stuck at full extension. This one has a great range of 8m which he enjoys, and feels solid and comfortable. Delivery was super fast, arriving the day after I ordered it, and Pet Circle had this quality item for the best price that I could find. Highly recommend.
The flexi retractable lead really allows you to have a nice walk while complying with the leash laws. The convenience of allowing your dog up to 5 m of wander room is lovely. The mechanism will, however, take a bit of getting used to in order to use them safely around hazards. My dogs are pretty steady and don't tend to make wild dashes after stuff. If you drop the handle, it goes whizzing after the dog and can well terrorise a youngster, so hold on firmly.
I think its a good product but after only a few days use the cord is beginning to fray. I have a Jack Russell dog who isnt really that big but he is strong and does test the leash frequently. Alas this is not suitable for the livelier dog and would be more suitable for an older dog who doesnt get excited on the leash. I have orderd a more heavy duty leash and will keep this one for emergencies..
