I am not usually a fan of retractable leads, as I have extremely strong dogs, but this FLEXI RETRACTABLE LEAD - LARGE is made to hold up to 50 kgs. So I am now a lover of FLEXI. I've also given a review for the same product, in size medium. With a comfortable handle, strong lead tape, connection slot for other accessories that FLEXI make. They make a LED light, a treat bag, a poo bag holder. You definitely get value for money, I now definitely recommend.

This is the second one of these we have had and this one looks as good as the first. Well made and just feels like quality. There have been one or two minor changes to the design but is essentially the same. We did not even bother looking at anything else as we so trust this brand. BTW first one has not failed it is just that it has been abused somewhat and my wife wanted a different colour. It's still totally functional and being kept as a spare. Has been in constant use for five years.

Only bought this 4 weeks ago for my springer and it snapped today. My dog doesn't chew it and there is no sign of wear around the snap. Went back to pets at home Chelmsford and the manager there said this lead isn't meant for actually walking so that's why it snapped. No offer of swapping or repair etc as I have used it to walk my dog which it isn't built for. My question was then why sell a lead that says it's for walking, if it's not meant for walking. He quickly disappeared, walking off talking to his headset, leaving me with no answer. Personally I wouldn't buy these again. I'll go elsewhere for my pet products as pets at home doesn't sell leads for waking dogs apparently. What next a dog bed not for sleeping....joke

Bought this mainly for my deaf Dalmatian to give her. a little more sense of freedom (I cant let her off-leash) - I have 2 other hearing dallies & I've used this lead with all of them. It's very good - the "tape" style is much better for larger dogs. I sometimes use it when walking on sidewalk but keep my finger over the brake mechanism to make sure the lead stays short enough to keep the dog away from traffic. I wish it was a little longer for the deaf girl and I find it very awkward to clip to collar cos it's so heavy (one of the dogs is easily freaked out and she squealed when I took the bulky handle too close to her face. Finally I realised you can pull out some leash & then lock the brake so ˆdidnt have to hold the handle so close to her head. Although the lead has now broken our puppy repeatedly chewed the part that frayed! We had the lead for around 8 months and had he big have chewed it would still have it! Good length, comfortable to hold, easy to clip on and the reflective tape is great when you're out in the dark! Would definitely recommend!
We have a 40kg rescue pup and using the lead requires the human to react quickly to unforeseen lunges at other dogs. The lead is a strong quality flat tape and could cut like a blade if the human is not careful.Otherwise, the long lead is fantastic for letting our fur baby trot a little further.
Nice, sturdy lead. Our 26+kg pup gives a good tug at times, and cheaper retractable leads can get stuck at full extension. This one has a great range of 8m which he enjoys, and feels solid and comfortable. Delivery was super fast, arriving the day after I ordered it, and Pet Circle had this quality item for the best price that I could find. Highly recommend.
Lasted one week. The tape is not robust enough for my puppy. He ragged it with his teeth. It is now liable to break. It worked perfectly I will probably buy another one when he is older. I would like to have it mended but don't know how. I am working on the ragging behaviour with some success!
My Medium Flexi Neon Leash is a pleasure to use. It does not tangle and the line control feature easily slides back and forth to catch or release the line. IF YOUR SMALL DOG PULLS, PURCHASE THE MEDIUM FLEXI LEASH. My 12 lb. min.pinscher/chihuahua pulls really hard when she wants to go after another critter. Little dogs are extremely strong too! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Flexi Leash!
