I just bought a replacement for the one I just tossed that I bought like three or four years ago. Occasionally it would get sand caught in it and scratch the glass but you can hear/see that happen and its not a flaw that only applies to this. Its magnets, a razor blade, and some felt. It works fine.

I am someone who is extremely careful when scraping my glass to avoid scratches but it ended up ruining my brand new tank. I immediately tossed it out. I am beyond disappointed.
Bought this thing and the Tunze Care Nano. I used this and felt like I noticed some scratches on the glass and stuck with the plastic Tunze blades. I started getting more calcification and Coraline algae so I gave this another try today and noticed a bunch of new scratches. After doing some googling, it appears that many others have had the same problem. I only used the metal scraper side so I can't comment on the soft brush side.
Weak magnet makes this useless. I threw it away yesterday, but retrieved it today to use the wet side manually.
The magnet is substantially weaker than the original sized one. I bought this one for a smaller footprint in a 40-gallon AIO. Save yourself the hassle and buy the larger one.
I prefer using this smaller flipper over the full sized one. I feel like I have a lot more control over it. I have a 40g breeder tank to give an idea on glass thickness. Works fantastic, I clean about once every week or two and haven't had any issues with it.
