Very supportive, is more compact than I've had before---so great for a small office. (I'd want it if I had more room, too!) My previous standing mat, a different brand, had 'bars' for lifting the forefoot and stretching the calf muscles, BUT I kept tripping when moving away from the desk quickly....so not safe for me. This one I love and - as it's polyurethane so my physio love it, too. Better support, apparently and lasts much longer. (So my budget loves it, too)
