Gourmand scents are amazing, but can sometimes feel a bit too youthful. So, we reach for something a bit more sophisticated and refined. Why can’t we have both? That’s what Flowerbomb does for me! Notes of rose and jasmine bring an air elegance to the fragrance, with the patchouli base really balancing everything out. And I hate patchouli! I’ve smelled the original Flowerbomb, but honestly do not like it. I was looking for a new perfume to get and this was a surprise when I received my notification! I have to admit I was worried I wouldn’t like it, but surprisingly did(: For me this evokes the Femme Fatale and I love that! The packaging is everything, ruby is one of my favorite colors, the diamond grenade is stunning! ( I do have to say, I wish the inside of the box would hold the perfume better as it was loose in the box, I’m surprised it didn’t break). The main accords are vanilla, sweet, powdery, floral, fruity, green, and lactonic. The Top notes are Peach and Vine; Middle note is Orchid; Base note is vanilla bean. My Mum said it reminds her of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle. When you first spray it on it does come out quite powerfully. But give it time and it dies down into a sweet, soft, and sultry scent. The smells quite literally lingers well on you, your clothing, even in a location. I had went to the gym and my Mum said when I left you could still smell the perfume(: Even throughout a long day after work it still is there. I noticed as well when you spray several times for examples two times on your wrists slightly apart from each other the scent will die down at different times, so it smells differently almost like two scents which I like. I would recommend this if you like the original or don’t, it’s perfect for your perfume collection!

I have a very strong sense of smell, I am INSANELY picky when it comes to fragrance. I’ve been wearing the same “signature scent” for the past 10+ years—Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau De Parfum. ViktorRolf Flowerbomb is the ONLY other perfume I’ve come across that I actually love enough to wear too [and that’s with me receiving new fragrance samples in the mail every week to try]. The scent is sweet, floral, sexy. It has this unbelievable depth + body to it, making it almost enchanting. I do not love most floral scents—rose is one of my least favorite. It’s taken me a very, very long time to find another fragrance I truly adore as much as my “signature scent”. Flowerbomb is it. I love how well it combines with my natural body chemistry. It’s so sensual, while still being sophisticated. One of my other favorite qualities of this perfume is it’s lasting strength. I can apply some in the morning, come the next day/night [if I haven’t showered] the scent is still clearly there. A little also goes a very long way, lending to a bottle lasting much longer than with other perfumes. This is absolutely not the case when it comes to my beloved Chanel. I have to basically soak myself in it to get it to last as long as I prefer. I used to think it was decently concentrated, until I tried Flowerbomb. What a difference. I will say, while I firmly believe you can wear any perfume you want at any age, I’ve noticed VR Flowerbomb is loved most by the 20-35 crowd. One of my friends, who is head over heels obsessed with fragrance, does not like Flowerbomb on her one single bit. It does not combine well with her body chemistry. I have noticed this is a running theme with women who are 40+. Honestly though, I believe this spectacular scent is 100% worth a try for everyone, regardless of your age. It truly is a beautiful, addicting fragrance.

I cannot even express to you enough how IDENTICAL this smells to Bath Body Works Sensual Amber on me. I've tested Sensual Amber on one wrist and Flowerbomb on the other, side by side, and there is basically no discernible differences. Flowerbomb is not at all representative of its name; it's much more of a gourmandchouli. It's curious that amber isn't in Flowerbomb's notes, because I get a ton of amber with a little bit of patchouli and praline sprinkled in there. The biggest difference between the two is with regards to projection and wear time, although Sensual Amber has great projection and wear time, especially for the price point. Flowerbomb is much more intense and long-wearing, lasting through washing on clothes and skin. Flowerbomb body cream, you could easily get some Sensual Amber body cream and add a small amount of Flowerbomb perfume to the tube to stretch it out. The bottle however is gorgeous, and a great piece for a vanity or dresser. The glamorous pink grenade is clever and cute, and it definitely makes for an iconic product. My problem with Flowerbomb is the price. I don't mind paying more for perfume (Mugler's Alien is my all-time favorite and signature, for reference), but I don't see the point when there is an almost exact dupe for a mere fraction of the price. If you can afford it and the superior packaging is worth it to you, then I say go ahead. It smells nice, and is generally a crowd-pleaser.

Now, I’m normally not a floral kind of gal. I prefer woody, spicy fragrances and the occasional fruit-forward perfume. So you can probably guess that the name “Flowerbomb” was an immediate turn off for me. All I could picture was powdery, floral drenched grannies at church. I was SO WRONG! I received a tiny sample of Viktor Rolf Flowerbomb many moons ago and was always hesitant to try it. One day, I felt brave and spritzed a bit on my wrist with the plan to rinse it off immediately, but that little spray stayed until I showered the next morning! I have never enjoyed a floral scent so much. It feels sexy, confident, and oh so personal. It doesn’t give me a headache, and it doesn’t smell like tipsy grandmas at Sunday brunch. (And this is Taylor Swift’s signature scent, how cool is that?). A total win for floral fragrances everywhere! I asked for a travel size bottle of Flowerbomb for Christmas, since I tend to cycle between fragrances regularly and can’t finish full bottles. I couldn’t wait to put it on once I opened it! It’s intoxicating in the best way possible. My husband loves how it smells on me and wants to be as close as possible whenever I wear this. I may just need to upgrade to a full size! Highly recommend.

Viktor Rolf Flowerbomb perfume is a delightful fragrance for women that has quickly become one of the most popular perfumes in the world. It is the perfect scent for those who want to smell like fresh flowers without being too overpowering.

I really am in love with this scent. It’s the ultimate feminine perfume, a floral fantasy that’s opulent, sensual and luxurious. It’s a wonderful combination of a garden of delicious aromas, without being overly floral. With top notes of Cattleya orchid, Freesia and Centifolia Rose. Middle notes of Sambac Jasmine and Indian Osmanthus. Ending with warm delicious notes of Patchouli and Vanilla. and I just can't. I'm sure I'll get a lot of dislikes for saying this but Flowerbomb is one of the most generic, unpleasant, in your face, headache inducing fragrances I've ever come across. The patchouli ruins any chance this had of being tolerable but beyond that, it's just a stinky, syrupy, powdery, overpowering mess. I've smelled it a million times on a million different people and I've never once thought, "wow, that smells really good on her." Ever. It's like if you walked into a department store fragrance counter in the early 1990's and sprayed every single perfume on yourself that you could find, Flowerbomb would be the end result. I've tried it on myself many times over the years since we all know body chemistry and personal preferences change. I've tried it in the summer and in the winter, on skin and on clothes. A teeny tiny dab and a full on spray. It doesn't matter and the end result is the same: instant headache coupled with regret. Having said all that, I would like to try the various flankers at some point to see if they're any more tolerable. But as far as the OG FB, it's an absolute NOPE.

Love this perfume......classic

I was first introduced to this perfume at Sephora in Paris in 2007 and have worn it ever since. It's a very pleasant scent and not one that you can smell from across the room but which does last all day. I do get many compliments on it and will wear it forever. I would have given this 5 stars (stars are fickle thing, arent they?) but as you can see the offer includes "free sampleS". I ordered mine and was excited to have a small sample of FlowerBomb as I would be travelling and didn't want to bring the entire bottle due to US carry on liquid restrictions (I purchase the large bottle) . For some reason they crossed the requested sample off and didn't ship it. When I reached out to customer servcie they said that they would not send the sample separately. It's very minor, but when a company tells you it's going to do something, it should......now I will have to wear a different fragrance when I travel (super bummed about that)_ and am miffed at this easily solvable customer service issue.........I really would have expected a "no problem, we'll get that out to you, sorry for the oversight".....so, I guess, if you have customer service issues, let's hope they are minor like this, but nevertheless, it's VERY annoying as I was looking forward to smelling great while I travelled. So, for that I'm disappointed. Not disappointed, however, to discontinue use of this product......it's too excellent for that! I just wish they would have solved this simple problem and kept their word.
