I have this light on a 55gal. reef tank. I have mostly soft corals, and everything is doing fine. I think it would be ok for some LPS corals as well. It has lots of nice features, seems well made, and is bright. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there is no control for a moonlight setting. They are either on or off. You cannot ramp them up or down to start or end a light cycle. With all the other good features this light has, its a shame Fluval did not include this important feature for reef keepers.

I'm using this light on my Mr. Aqua 6 gallon long and it's doing a great job growing, softies, LPS, and macro algae. I love being able to control the spectrum of the light. I don't care for the "blue look" of so many reef tanks and this allows me to hit just the right color for aesthetics as well as to give the macro algae more of the full-spectrum light they like.

It's meh at best. Gonna crank it to 💯 max all the way and see if I get any response from the leather I put in this tank. So far nothing . The app and channels are nice, but the power is lacking I feel. Double the power in these sizes and you have something. So far it's a pretty light. That's all.
Its ok, but lacks some standard features you would expect from a light with a built in controller with this kind of price tag. If the power goes out at all you have to reset its programming with your phone (good luck if you are out of town). There is no passing cloud option, moonlight cycle, or sunlight schedule that syncs with the time of year even though they make many claims of “new and exciting updates to the app” there has been only one. If you want those things you would have to configure them and adjust them daily to keep up.
Light is great. Was told by customer service it would work on a flex 32.5 since they sent me a freshwater tank instead of saltwater. It does work, but does not cover the whole tank with Light like it should.
Planted tank and fish only saltwater. Plants are.doing great with no unsightly algae. Saltwater fish look great with no hair algae growth from incorrect lighting parameters. App has been updated and now has a sleep (all lights off) option.
I have measured the power consumption of only white channel using power meter which I found out it is 15.4w out of 32w, Half of light power goes for white.I hope if there are more blue LEDs in place of white LEDs.
Great light for the price and some good features with the APP, has a little bit of difficulty setting up and saving settings to the lamp but all good now👍🏻
It's bright but the 59 watt is much brighter. The app that controls the light is pretty flippin' cool and it allows you to do all kinds of stuff. I wish the 59 watt had had this functionality.
