The Fox Proframe Matte Bike Helmet is an all-mountain full-face helmet designed to meet the needs of Enduro riders or aggressive, lift-serve trail riders. Considered by many to be the original in its category and is still very much the market leader, it’s the top choice of pros and bros alike who like to ride hard. Featuring MIPS technology, which stands for Multi-Direction Impact Protection System. MIPS technology mimics the brain's protective structure by reducing rotational forces caused by angled impacts to the head. The helmet’s shell and liner are separated by a low friction layer which allows the helmet to slide, noticeably reducing trauma to the brain in the case of oblique impacts. A dual density Varizorb liner assists the MIPS protection technology aiding in helping to absorb blunt impacts. helmet Besides being ultra-safe, it's highly breathable with fifteen intake and nine exhaust vents which provide exceptional airflow and breathability on climbs and descents. A moisture wicking liner also keeps the sweat at bay and will suck up the majority of the moisture from your brow. A fixed visor shades the sun's rays from your eyes while also protecting you from hitting objects or brushing up against tree limbs on the sides of the trail. A Fidlock snap Helmet buckle is easy to use and adjusts on the fly and keeps everything synched down tight. When you are ready to send it down the trail, or beat the clock to get that coveted podium spot, the FOX Proframe Matte Bike Helmet will give you all of the protection you need to ride at your fullest potential.

I've run a few different full face helmets over the past few years and the Fox ProFrame is among my favorite. It breathes very well, offers good protection, is pretty lightweight and I love the magnetic buckle. My only tiny complaint is that while the medium fits my head circumference very well, my long face seems to maybe be a hair too big for the vertical dimensions of the helmet.

Helmet is great, but the adhesive on the chin cushions and foam pads are not so good as seen in pictures. I wish they have spares included. Also there is limited cheek pads size choice; 1 more size in between of the 2 sizes included would be great. Sizing runs weird at first, eventually got use to it. But overall, it is a great helmet.

Bought this helmet for wearing while riding my e-moto. Style and construction is excellent. Best looking downhill full face helmet available. The lite weight and venting is amazing. Almost feels like not even wearing a helmet. Sizing is a little large. Typically I wear a large in motocross helmets, but this one fits me best in a medium size. Very pleased with my purchase.

I bought this helmet as a enduro fullface helmet. At the moment I own the Flux, Dropframe and RPC fullface from Fox Racing. All of them fit great and have a good quality finish. With the ProFrame the fit was loose even after using thicker pads which are supplied. Also there where pressure points on my forehead which where very uncomfortable. But the main issue with this helmet is the fidlock strap. Although the fidlock buckle is great, the strap is really thin and unable to keep the helmet in place. I pressed the chinbar from the front moving the helmet backwards. This made my mouth touch the front of the chin bar and the strap almost slicing in my neck. This was done using very low force imagine going down a line and have a severe chrash. This made me send back the ... MoreI bought this helmet as a enduro fullface helmet. It fits really well. I have had problems with helmets not feeling well on my head but this feels amazing. It can also take a hit. Slamed right on my head and it didn’t even hurt. truly a well built product. With different pads coming with the helmet I am going to have it for the rest of my life along as my head doesn’t become to large.
Nice helmet but cheek pads could be better. The back of the helmet pad inserting/removing is a poor design. I tried to swap it but it ripped out the foam from the helmet its self. Protection is great though. 3 stars just because I feel like fox can do a much better job with designing pads. Granted they have the boa design now. But for as much money as you spend on this helmet it could be a little better..
I really like the buckle. The bottom of the forehead pad sometimes digs into my skin. It's the only helmet I've had that is noisy, creaking noises while riding. Seems very light compared to moto helmets. I purchased online. Overall it's good but would try on other styles and brands before buying again.
My riding has progressed to the point where I’m sending bigger jumps, drops, and carrying speed down technical rocky trails. I felt like my half shell was a little low on coverage for the type of riding I’m doing now. Also, going to be riding some DH parks, and this helmet is DH rated, maybe not quite as protective as a heavier full-on DH helmet, but certainly adequate. I measured in at the bottom of the range to fit a size large, and am using the thickest pads that came in the box. The cheek pads are snug, and the helmet stays in its place. Size chart seems to be accurate, and size up if you’re in between, because the largest cheek pads are very thick and will take up a lot of space if you need to size up. Size chart seems to be accurate, and size up if you’re in between, because the largest cheek pads are very thick and will take up a lot of space if you need to size up. Range of vision is really open, and venting/airflow is phenomenal. It picks up every bit of moving air, probably vents even a little better than my Giro chronicle which is a half shell. Fidlock buckle on chin strap is excellent, was even able to close it with one hand while climbing. Easy to install a universal light mount (top/forward vents), I ran the straps between the MIPS liner and around the helmet body, to allow the MIPS system to move as intended. Will have to see how it does when the temps get up around 90, but I wore this thing for 3.5 hours last night around 70 and it felt great.
Great enduro and downhill helmet with great airflow and lots of customization with pads. Very light with excellent peripheral vision. The visor isn't adjustable but that's actually something I like as I don't want more moving parts or something to worry about. And I really like the magnetic chin strap clasp. Super easy to take on and off.
Sizing is definitely not right. I wear a 7 1/2 fitted hat and the size large is still too big even when using all the thick pads.On the flip side...it will save you from sustaining the worst injuries. I had a fall that resulted in the helmet being punctured, and me walking away with two lacerations to the side of my head and a concussion.
