Comfortable helmet

I am solidly a Medium per Fox sizing chart and wear M in other brands (e.g., Smith) too, and this lid fits very well. This is my first fuller coverage helmet (and first MIPS) and I have found it to be quite comfortable and lightweight. I didn't think I would care about the fidlock buckle, but it is nice to have and makes on/off easier when wearing gloves. Haven't gone out on any super long rides, but I can't see it irritating me or being uncomfortable in any way.On compatibility with glasses: I ride with cheap Amazon glasses. If you have nicer glasses I would check compatibility before you head out on trail. I have found it possible to stash the glasses under the visor in such a way that they stay securely when I'm not wearing them, but it's a little fiddly and tough to do while pedaling.

I got this helmet based on many positive reviews and have only been somewhat happy, I wore it mountain biking exclusively for at least a year thru all the temps one experiences in western Montana. The helmet itself is very comfy and feels light on my head. My dissatisfaction comes from even during early morning MTB rides when it's cool out, I noticed I was getting pretty hot and my head was sweating like crazy during hillclimbs. The other thing I noticed was the helmet didn't vent hardly at all as speed increased, say on the flats or downhill sections. I mean I couldn't feel any cooling at all especially compared to other older helmets I have which weren't fit to continue wearing from a safety standpoint. Now I only wear the Speedframe when I am commuting or ... MoreI got this helmet based on many positive reviews and have only been somewhat happy, I wore it mountain biking exclusively for at least a year thru all the temps one experiences in western Montana. The speed frame pro is a great helmet with great features, Fidlock buckle is awesome, no more helmets without fidlock. The fit is exceptional for me. Moto style visor is great too gives me what I want in looks department. Helmet is light and ventilated good.

Great helmet other my personal sizing!
12 November 2023

I find the helmet breaths well in the 100 plus heat . The only bad part for me is that I fall into the in between sizes of a medium and the large. I have to turn the adjuster all the way to its minimum size , now I tried the medium , but that turned out to be way to small all around as I could feel the the shell of the helmet on the backside of my head. If they made thicker foam inserts like some helmets have that would make up for a size or too. I'd 5 star the helmet in all other categories..

High Quality, Looks Great, Super Light
4 March 2022

I just got this helmet recently and I can tell it is going to be awesome. The only hiccup I have is that I accidentally got one that was too big! Putting it on it felt super light and comfortable and the straps went nicely around my ears without rubbing them. I absolutely loved the Fidlock magnetic buckle too! The shape of the helmet was really nice and I can tell that when I get the next size down it will be awesome. Wish I could say more on how it felt while I was riding with it but I haven't had the opportunity to yet! I'll update my review once I am able to! I got the Large and I have a 58.5 Cm head, it was barely too big and I could move the shell around my head. Size chart says that the Large starts at 59 CM and the Medium ends a 58 CM so I know the medium ... MoreI just got this helmet recently and I can tell it is going to be awesome. New Lid to keep my brain in check.

New helmet with MIPS! to keep me protected out on all the techy east coast trails. Helmet fits great, as anticipated. Order arrived quickly and packaging was well intact. another easy purchase from EVO.

Protective Lightweight Helmet
6 November 2023

I shopped around quite a bit before landing on the speed frame pro. Only have worn it a few times so far but in hot and cool temperatures. The helmet is lightweight, almost forget you're wearing it. And the front vents keep air flowing when you start to heat up on the trail. Love the fidlock buckle. Would definitely recommend.

Really Nice-Looking but Weird Strap/Fit
3 December 2022

I bought this helmet for the brand reputation and looks, the dual-density foam, and it felt good in store. When I got home and tried to fit it, I realized the Y-junction of the strap on each side is completely non-adjustable. This means this junction is a full inch or more below my ear. Even with the strap snug, this allows too much play between helmet and head. Another unfortunate design issue is the visor does not readily come off so you will always have to ride with the visor even when it does not make sense to do so.

Returned... Ordered a Medium needed a Large!
30 October 2023

I'm on the smallest adjustment with the large, so I tried a medium. The medium was to small, as in the shell of the helmet was hitting my head in the back and thats with the adjuster maxed out..Had to return for this reason. I ended up buying the large from Jenson USA because they would send it next day to my house in California and they didn't have a medium in the beginning. The prices were the same from both companies.Ultimately I lost my shipping money sending it back to Fox. I wish they had the 1 return rule for fitment like Rocky Mountain ATV for instance.

Sizing is frustrating
26 August 2021

Helmet seems okay but Fox sizing design and BC needs to improve sizing listing.Backcountry -- sizing for the speedframe is not in the sizing chart button (other Fox model helmets are) so I had to go elsewhere to get the proper size chart.Fox -- other helmet makers design their sizes to overlap so medium ends at 58cm and large starts at 57cm. For speedframe 59cm is the upper end of M and lower end of L, which is exactly what my head measured. I thought there'd be some wiggle room but nope, large was just a bit loose with my hair short. If I was a couple weeks late on my haircut the L might fit but then the M won't! Overlap your size ranges by 1cm and everyone can find a helmet size that works. If your head measures in middle of their sizing range, go for it!
