I ordered the small for a waist size of 30 and they fit great--which is fortunate because there is no adjustment or elastic of any kind if they had not fit exactly. There are not even belt loops to use if they are a little big. The other reason I settled on these instead of other shorts was for the shorter inseam. At 5ft 4 inches, the 14 inch inseam which many other shorts have goes way below the knee and looks dorky. The material seems very durable and comfortable, and the quality is also good. Overall I am satisfied, but would have given 5 stars if there had been some kind of waist size adjustment.

I ordered these in my size 32. They were NOT 32. More like 33. With no adjustment strap. I returned and had to pay for shipping. Then like an idiot I ordered a 30 and of course way to tight. I measured them yo be a 29. What a joke and I’m done. THIS IS WHY THERE ON CLOSE OUT. ALL SALES FINAL. I’m highly upset and out $$$. Geez, thanks Fox for waisting my time and money. Now I’ll have to give them away. I feel FOX should send me some sort of DISCOUNT EMAIL OF NEXT PURCHASE. Horrible experience and will never order directly. Back to Amazon which I tried to avoid in the first place. I’m not the only review like this disappointing debauchery. Oh and NO sticker came with it like it was supposed to have. What a waist of time and money. Literally!

The Fox shorts and shammy is nice, but they don't stand up to the wear and tear. I've been using them for 3 months and the inner short is starting to fall apart since the stitching is coming out. I also don't like how the bottom of the shorts will slide up my leg. A pair from another brand I had incorporated a sort of rubber that would grip my skin and prevent the bottoms of the leg from sliding up. I've been using my walmart pair for years and they are still standing strong. The Fox pair don't feel like they are made from an as high grade of material as they should be. I'm honestly very disappointed.

I'm normally a size 33 and I ordered a size 34 and they ran a bit large for me. Typically, it would be ok if they have adjustable hook&loop straps typically available on MTB shorts or belt loops. These shorts didn't have either and therefore had to return them.
3rd pair of Fox shorts I've had over the years, and design function / quality keeps getting worse. No waist adjustment so the fit is too loose. Why was that feature removed? Fabric is stiff and loud with an abrasive feel. It's loud enough that you notice the sound of the shorts sliding on the seat when you ride. The chamois is the same thin, low quality they've had for years - ride with something else.
These shorts are my favorite MTB shorts. They look, feel and fit fantastic. They’re comfortable with the perfect amount of stretch to move on the bike. The color ways are fantastic, excellent design.
The length was right. The quality of the fabric is great, but the belt system didn’t work for me. I had to send 2 pair back that I really wanted to make work. I wear a 36 waist in everything in order to get some extra room through the quads, but I’m actually a 35”. There is no way to get that extra tightening at the waist with this sliding “belt” system. A simple Velcro set up would solve that problem. Also, there is no zipper or Velcro in the fly. It’s just folded over fabric, which would probably be ok normally, but I think it might sinch up the waistline a bit and alleviate some of the issues with the lack of a functioning belt for guys like me.
Shorts are very high quality, great price on sale, unfortunately they were too big for me and did not have the typical adjustable belt built in to the shorts like my other Fox shorts so I had to return them. This is a deal breaker for people in between sizes and people who like a baggier fit with the ability to fit a smaller waist.
I love these shorts. Comfortable and nearly disappear when wearing them. Great quality with lasting power of atleast a couple seasons.Modern fit not baggy.
I really want to like these shorts as I really like everything else I have from Fox but these just missed the mark in one critical area, the snap closure. The fit is great, the material feels durable and light, the length is nice but the shorts open for almost no reason. I have popped them open getting on my bike, getting off of my bike, while riding my bike, getting out of my car, closing my car door, opening my car door, taking a deep breath, exhaling, thinking too hard, etc. It's remarkable how poorly the snap closure works. I rarely wear them due to this issue. Save yourself some frustration and find shorts with a button closure or wait until Fox fixes this issue before buying them. I'm 5' 8" and weigh 160 lbs and wear a medium.
