Haven’t been for a ride in these yet but looking forward to it! Half the weight & way more breathable than my current 5/10s. Really like the included ‘high arch’ supports included & definitely add to a secure feel & fit. Keen to see how this translates to feel on the tracks! Only grip (& it’s a small one!) is the length of the laces - when you’ve gone to the trouble of excluding high arch supports you’d think they would have thought about lace length to compliment the raised arch?!? Still it’s compensated in part by the Velcro strap length which is ample! Thanks Pushy

From fit to style this shoe has been above what I expected. So much so I now have two pair now and will likely buy more in the future. You won’t be upset with this purchase!

Classy MTB shoes

I purchased these shoes recently as my usual pair had got a bit tight after hurting my right foot in an accident.I usually take a UK size 11 but these were offered in a half size increase so I ordered 11 1/2. The fit is perfect and they feel well made and sturdy.Had no problem fitting the cleats and you can walk normally off the bike.Lots of my fellow riders have commented on how good they look.I’m really pleased with them.

Great first design from Fox

These are a solid design. I do wish the upper was not that single piece rubber-like material and maybe had more seams to provide better fit around the toe box. The sizing is definitely generous. I first got a 45.5 then went down to a 45. The 45 fits about like my Shimano 46s. The sole is stiff but comfortable when walking. I prefer a stiffer sole that isn't quite xc stiff and this is about right. The rearward adjustment is also very generous... I only had to go about half way. What I appreciate is they aren't heavy or really bulky on the outside. Sometimes shoes like this tend to have so much extra material and rubber that they rub your cranks and don't give good pedal feel, but these they managed to keep them relatively svelte on the outside. Not for me

I am looking for a cycling shoe that can pass as a casual sneaker. This came close, but was smaller, narrower and more rigid than I would like. The strap also is somewhat off putting. Nice shoe, not for me

Out the gate…

Fox’s first try at MTB shoes is a hit. I’ve tried Five Ten and Ride Concepts for clipless and flats. However, I like Fox because it is a hybrid of all the shoes. I have adequate power transfer, traction and style. They’re wide enough where my feet aren’t throbbing after a ride. Great arch support out the box and comes with additional adjustment for that. Summer is coming here in Phoenix. So, I’ll see how they vent.

Shoe quality good, narrow toe box for my feet

.I recently purchased the Fox clip of shoes license version. They were very not shoes built well plenty of stiffness but they were too narrow for my foot. A friend of mine has them and he said he has wide feet and they don't bother him at all but they were too narrow for mine.

Sizing is wildly off

I ordered a size 9.5, which fox says is 42.5 in euro. According to every other shoe manufacturer, a size 42.5 is closer to a size 8.5, and lo and behold, these fit like an 8.5. Go off of the euro sizing, not the U.S. sizing. And backcountry charges shipping on returns, so I guess I'm going back to boycotting backcountry for both their dumb IP litigation practices and their crappy return policy.

The sole is its best attribute

I chose the black ones. Best thing: sliding proof rubbery lug soles. Second best thing: the toe box is not pointy (unlike my previous Shimano). Stif enough to avoid foot cramps when pushing on the pedals but flexible enough to allow comfy short walks when off bike.

Worth it!

I've had my Union clipless shoes for a full year now and they've been great! They are holding up awesome, fit is spot on, and the have just the right amount of flex in the sole. There are other options out there that are less $, but these are worth it.
