I built an amazing custom full water loop in a FD Meshify C mini, and was looking forward to doing the same in the Meshify 2 compact. But a few things were a no go on this case. In the FD Meshify C and Meshify C mini, you can actually install 15mm wide front case fans directly behind the mesh panel. In the M2 the door won't close. I'd still recommend this case to a majority of users because of the setup most people have: Air cooled gpu and AIO for cpu. It's very easy to build in but for a super efficient custom water loop, I still prefer the old design and purchased a Meshify C ATX case. (see photos)

...or at least don't use the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm AIO cooler. You have to remove the rear fan (or slide it down and leave some screws out), crush your front IO cables, and bend the top frame a little bit to screw it in. You also can't attach the radiator to the top frame and reattach the frame; you need to screw it all in place, as it won't go in otherwise. You can jam it all in there, but it doesn't fit. Just get a 360mm radiator instead. Otherwise, the case is pretty solid! Really all of my problems with it stem from it saying it could fit a 420mm radiator and it can't. It's very reconfigurable inside, but not enough for that huge cooler.

The PSU part does have a plastic piece that pops out to give full access to the back where the PSU, and the initial hard drive cage are, you can remove it which is nice, but with the way they are installed its quite frustrating to deal with a modular PSU, or if you forget a cable its a pain to try to plug one into the PSU from the back.Its also big enough that I got a long video card that fit in perfectly fine here.Asus X-570 motherboardXFX 6900XTEVGA 850 G5EVGA CLC 360 mmwere the components used in this case, I also installed 2 hard drives that I have from a previous build.

Vast improvement over the original Meshify C that I had 2 cases ago. I transferred my current build to this new case from a BeQuiet Pure Base 500 (not the 500DX). I like to change out cases every year and a half or so, just to keep things fresh and interesting. The gray color option goes great with my keyboard and monitor. Plus I’ve had nothing but black computer cases for the last 20 years, so it’s about time I mix things up. With my build, I moved the front two 140mm fans to the top for exhaust. Removed the drive cage and the removable covers and installed a additional X2 GP-12 120mm fan at the bottom to help balance out airflow (3 fans blowing in, 3 fans blowing out). CPU temps are only -1 degree C less, but that's because was it a front mounted radiator, and the radiator was getting enough air to cool in the old case. The improved air intake of the Meshify 2 Compact really helps with GPU cooling the most. Ignore the BeQuiet fans in one of the pics, I was just seeing if there was a difference in noise levels, and just ended staying with the Fractal fans. They seemed just as silent to me as the BeQuiet fans.

Great case for someone looking for maximum airflow. I tested a bunch of fan layouts in this case, and honestly anything mounted up top did not work that well. I originally had the 360mm rad up top, with 3x120mm fans in the front for airflow but while the GPU temp was 1 degree lower, the CPU temp quite quite a bit hotter. No matter how much airflow coming in the front of the case, it was hotter. Since I went with a 360 rad for this case, the best option was the rad in front (tubes up - it won't reach tubes down even ignoring the GPU length) with 3x 140mm fans up top and 140mm fan for exhaust in the rear. The rearmost fan up top is exhaust, while the two in front are actually intake blowing down into the case to get fresh air to the GPU. Theres so much space in it that I could probably live in there if I really wanted to. The hardest part with setting it up was getting my parts out of my old tower. I got the grey with tempered glass and its definitely greyer than the stock pictures show but not so light it looks painted on. Its more of a gunmetal grey. I really like it and am happy I went with this color over the other 2. All in all I think its well worth the money and is very reasonable given the features it has. Also The case I had (AeroCool Mirage) has a closed front panel with side vents which is never good for cooling high end PC's. However, the case seems to mosly avoid this, by giving the confidence of the smooth nature of disassembly and reassembly.I cannot emphasis more just how good this case is. Room for improvement? Sure, always in any product.But this is close to perfect in its class.I'm very critical of the "corporate world" and its greed and me saying things like this really does take a superb product, and well worth the cost.Buy it, you will not be disappointed.
Overall very pleased, have a Corsair Hi115 280mm rad exhausting out the top, couldn't fit that alongside an additional top mounted 120 or 140mm fan on either end of the top panel. A 420mm looks like it would be problematic especially with a large heat-sink on the MB (Asus Z690 TUF in this case). The narrower 360 or 240 rads would be much more forgiving. But finished product is refined and running very cool and quiet (30-55 degrees for i7-12700) MB, VRM, NVME, all respectable. GPU is a 2080ti hybrid - the card itself gets warm under load with the lousy built in fan, but GPU temps peaking around mid 60's with a 120mm AIO exhausting out the back. That's under extended gaming... haven't bothered with true stress tests or aggressive OC'ing yet. But finished product is refined and running very cool and quiet (30-55 degrees for i7-12700) MB, VRM, NVME, all respectable. GPU is a 2080ti hybrid - the card itself gets warm under load with the lousy built in fan, but GPU temps peaking around mid 60's with a 120mm AIO exhausting out the back. That's under extended gaming... haven't bothered with true stress tests or aggressive OC'ing yet. The case itself was fun to work on, everything fits together and comes apart well. Airflow is excellent when it needs to be (total of 9 case/rad fans) and it's effectively silent when idling with the fans running slow. Wasn't my first choice to start but very glad with the results in the end.
I have been reusing some old reliable Antec and other cases for years. They get the job done, but I find I need to run the fans higher to get airflow since the case is designed for silence. I wanted an airflow based case to help keep my 3900X cool and give me plenty of air flow by using numerous 1400mm fans at lower speeds. Since I use NVMe and only 2 addiotnal 2.5 SSDs having bulky permanent drive cages that block and interrupt air flow made no sense. I watched and read numerous reviews and while there are a few cases that rank better, but once you do fan normalized and sound normalized tests this is one of the best. I usually I just have a glob of cables in my case, but I wanted to get the full benefit of an airflow case so I took the time to run all the cable out and around the back side of the MB. For my first neat build I am very happy virtually no cables (other than GPU) come able the MB or interfere with airflow. I put 7 Noctua 140mm fans (3 on intake, 3 top exhaust and 1 rear exhaust.) All the fans are running now around 800rpm and thus there should be a slight negative pressure on the inside. With the rear exhause.t and the third top fan right over the CPU that creates a fast exit of any air that is warm. My Ryzen 9 3900X and my Noctua U14S (with dual 1700 rom Redux 120mm fans) running at around 1300 rpm and with all cores at 4.1GHz I never go above 73C with about 21C ambient air. So a max 52C delta over ambient seems very reasonable for completely air cooled and fairly quiet case.
