Quality, space inside, simplicity and design. Everything is on top here. 55I dont know how it would look with all the RGBs builds inside cause the metal-mesh pattern on the side let some of the light go through, but i dont have almost any light source in my components and it looks perfect.

I migrated my hardware from an old Corsair 600q to this case. The relevant parts are a Ryzen 5950X and a NVIDIA 3080Ti. These are hot parts, especially the graphics card, and the cooling of the 600q could not quite keep up and everything throttled in response. The North XL has taken care of all my issues. I mounted the CPU's AIO to the top (a 280mm), I left the stock fans in the front and put a Nuctua 140mm fan in the rear. I used my PC BIOS to set up the fan curves; there's good Windows software, but this way the fans are under control in Linux as well. The results are outstanding. First of all, the included fans are good. At max RPM, any fan will be loud. These now purr at 800RPM and I don't hear them. They supply plenty of intake for all the hardware I have. ... MoreI migrated my hardware from an old Corsair 600q to this case. The relevant parts are a Ryzen 5950X and a NVIDIA 3080Ti. The graphics card's fans never have to spin as fast as they did in my old case, as a result it is QUIET unless you run very stressful but even then, much better than it was in my old case.I love how easy it is to get to the front filter; the grille comes off easily and there it is! Other neat features are all the captive screws on the case.My build is very clean thanks to ample space for cable routing and many good access points from back to front.Really from a cooling perspective, this is an excellent case. There's also included a fan cage that can take 2x 140mm fans and be mounted on the lower or upper part of the case, it's sitting behind the black mesh. I use this to help push out some heat of the graphics card to minimize heat in the case. It works beautifully. The looks, I suppose that's a matter of taste. I find it looks really sharp. Even my wife thought it looks really good, and she doesn't much care about PCs.If I have any criticism it is the manual, it doesn't explain too much and just needs more detail. For instance, please fully explain the Fan Hub, how it works and that the first connector is the one that provides RPM sensing. The right side panel could be a little more sturdy for the price, however it isn't terrible, not like a $40 case. Just.. could use a little more material and heft.Still, I give this a 9/10.

Very roomy. Has multiple Velcro cable ties for cable management. Along with the multiple cable management holes and cable tie slots, it makes cable management a breeze. The version with the mesh side panel also has a side fan mount, which I used for extra Noctua intake fans. It also comes with three 140 mm PWM fans pre-installed in the front of the case for intake, which are quiet enough. Combined with the fact that this case is very roomy, this makes airflow not a problem at all.

I used this case in a build for a friend of mine, when I'd previously used the non-XL for my own build. This version is essentially the same case upscaled, adding additional space in the front and above the motherboard, plus some additional cable management room. This room makes it much, much easier to work in. It also makes mounting a radiator at the top less of a pain, and the additional space makes mounting the side panel fans above the GPU very easy. I also like the aesthetics of the case, but that's obviously personal preference.
This was my first PC build in years, but felt like riding a bike with this case. Tons of space, ease of use features, Velcro straps everywhere for cables, gromits to hide cables, easy to remove fan mounts, and the huge porosity of the entire case with all the mesh means this case runs super cool at idle. All my internal components including OC ram and hot components like the PCH all run very cool.I've got 3x intake 140s at the front, 1x exhaust 140 at the back and 2x 140 exhaust on the top (that only come on at 60+ cpu temp, and only at around 40-60% speed) and the machine runs very quiet, even under load. Despite the mesh, the system sound is amazingly muted (with good fans and cooling solutions ofc)
Plenty of room inside and looks very nice once the build is finished. I highly recommend though changing the fans as the ones supplied are quite noisy
Case design really helps with cable management, and I had very little additional work to do just because of built in features.I love how this gives the feeling of a retro speaker. Looks great if you're someone like me and you want something that doesn't stand out from the rest of your house.
Like my experience with all Fractal cases, they are thoroughly thought out and designed to make it as easy as possible to build in without sacrificing quality. I've been very impressed with the design of the case; the real wood panels at the front and mesh side panels allow for maximum cooling while being aesthetically pleasing. The case itself is lightweight but durable, and the included manual outlined several build configurations, which made buying fans and hardware guess-free. The ability to put a wide range of fans, radiators, and hardware makes this a great case to use, as it offers the ability to change and upgrade without worrying too much if something is going to fit- all while being fairly compact and unobtrusive. As a long-time fan of Fractal cases (all the way to Define/Refine, and most recently Torrent), this case combines all the best bits of Fractal in one beautiful package. It has the looks, the air flow, the build quality, ease-of-use features, and more. Can not think of anything I'd change in this case.
amazing caseonly issues i see are the front fans are annoying to take out
