The case comes with an excess of cooling. The stock Fractal Design fans are amazing. The case fans are also pretty quiet. I typically used Fractal Design cases in the past for there super noise dampening to keep the PC quiet during operation but the Torrent has surpassed my expectations for quiet operation. If they ever do an updated model I'm begging you fractal add some more room for cables this would've been THE best case but the corsair 4000 airflow currently has it beat in my eyes in terms of cable management.

I've always been a fan of air-cooled cases and hardware because of its simplicity. This case puts all that first and then sorts out the rest. Too many air-cooled case designs are held back by permanent brackets that get in the way of larger fans, creating noise and restricting air-flow. Exterior of the case is intimidating, it looks like an old IBM server brought into a futuristic design. I went with this full opaque case for the extra dark look. Overall I think Fractal has nearly hit the apex with this one, just need to clean up some minor issues and it'll be an almost perfect design. I only wish they had the White Solid case available, it doesn't exist (yet?), but I'm fine with the Black Solid.

It took a while to get used to the larger size, but it has grown on me. I think it's a beautiful case and easy to work inside. Stock cooling paired with a Noctua DH15 has me idle 31c, average load in the mid 40's and prime 95 in-place large FFT's test mid 70's celcius for my Ryzen 5900X.

It has clean lines, a massive front grill, small details like the gray bezel surrounding the power button, a honey comb rear grill, a chamfered edge metal front logo plate and a ton of space. This case is enormous! I was taken aback with the sheer size of it. For scale, I uploaded a photo of it sitting next to my old Dell XPS tower and it absolutely dwarfs it! I decided to forgo the glass panel as flashy RGB is not my style and I think it looks so aggressive without it. This case has serious presence sitting on my desk. The front grill is plastic which is to be expected, along with the surrounding bezel. The paint however is a matte black which I love. Every seam is very tight, you can tell this is a premium case. Feb 12th, 2022 Followup: Installed everything and this case just simply shines. Cable management is a breeze thanks to built-in velcro cable ties. Love the PSU container, plenty of room for excess wiring that remains completely hidden. This case is really silent too. At idle it's whisper-quiet. Construction is built to last, very heavy duty and satisfying to build in. Highly recommended.
Wouldn't recommend willy nilly. It is highly recommended for the do-it-yourself types as it is super easy to work on. I would 100% buy it again.
A bit on the pricey side, but one of the few premium options with great airflow performance, and no tempered glass. Don't pay attention to the label, this is not a mid-tower sized case. This is just as big, if not bigger than a few 'full-tower' cases I've worked with before. Not an issue for me, but consider this case a 'full-tower' sized case, not a 'mid-tower'.
Premium look and feel, and easy to build in. The windowless version is nicely understated - perfect for people with friends and family who don't need or want RGB.Came shipped in nice packaging, and while it's sturdy it wasn't so heavy that I wanted help getting it up and down stairs. No wastes space or unnecessary bits inside the packaging either - enough styrofoam to keep it safe, not so much that it's obnoxious.The included accessories were nice - the gpu brace came in handy.Stock fans work great without adjustment or repositioning, easy to manage cables, and probably the best out of box airflow of this generation of cases.I am extremely satisfied with the product, and the purchase, and would highly recommend this case and brand to any of my friends.
Coming from a cool master NR600, this case is a wonder of engineering. Huge fans in front, 3 fans at the bottom suck air from top, push it to back. And top sealed to prevent cool air from leaving. My system is 10C cooler just using the new case with stock fans. I'm going to buy a second one tomorrow for another build!
