Thank you @fredericmalle for this sample of Carnal Flower EDP. It has top notes of: Bergamot, Melon Eucalyptus. The mid notes are: Ylang-ylang, Jasmine Tuberose. The base notes are: Tuberose Absolute, Orange Blossom Absolute, Coconut Musk. When I first sprayed it, the Eucalyptus stood out the most I'm not a big fan of that scent in fragrances. But, after a few minutes, the Tuberose, Jasmine Coconut came out. The Coconut is the type that you smell at the beach. I immediately thought of the sand beach. My favorite place to be in the world! 🏖️ I would definitely give this fragrance a chance because the dry down is so beautiful I definitely love the notes. Great Summer Scent

This is a great scent and makes me feel very "on a beach vacation with the girlfriends" in a very lush, luxurious, tropical location. It's certainly not spring break on the beach, but rather all-inclusive, someone is bringing me the drinks, first-class vacation package. But I can also see the same ladies back home, in chic jeans and a t-shirt, wearing this during the summer. This doesn't strike me as a particularly romantic or sexy fragrance, and might be good for every day wear. The notes are spot on, and it's a lovely combination with good staying power and projection. If this were gifted to me, I'd be over the moon for it. But if I'm paying for it myself, I'm not sure I'd but a full bottle because I have a few favorites ahead of it. Intense green floral and long lasting

Frederic Malle perfumes last, I've had and tried many floral perfumes and this outlasts them all. On me it starts out green floral and then evolves into a more syrupy tuberose with mock orange and jasmine, there is a slight green leaf in the background. The scent is strong and does fade as the day goes on but I do still smell it even after taking a swim, something I can't say for any other floral perfume. I wish there were two spray options, half and full spray since frankly one spray is almost too much scent. If I'm eating within an hour or two of putting this on the smell is too strong on my wrists and I get a soapy taste in my mouth when I bring my hand to my face, that's how much silage this has. Nice!!

I like this one but, not as much as the 'Potrait of a Lady'!! I now own another Fredrick Malle, Musc Ravager which isn't as good as this one!! So, in order of my personal preference so far; Portrait of a Lady comes a firm 1st!! Carnal Flower a 2nd, Musc Ravager a risky 3rd!! With all Frederick Malle perfumes, please wait a while to let the top notes settle, for my above 1st choice, I promise, it worth the purchase!!

Odd floral

I had such high hopes for this fragrance. It is nice but not great. It smells very green like fresh cut grass that seems to break into the white florals giving it an odd first appearance. The dry down is better. However, I did not receive any compliments on it and my boyfriend felt it smelled just “too strong and not in a good way.”

Too Sweet

If you're a fan of very potent sweet smelling perfumes this one is for you. This is a beautiful scent just not on me. It triggered a headache immediately. On others, it smells lovely. For the right body chemistry, it will get you compliments! You might also enjoy Portrait of a Lady. Another sweet scent.

Unique and sensual

Tried a sample of this after reading a review. Loved it but couldn’t justify the price. Glad I finally gave in. This is just amazing. Starts a bit sweet but that fades. Lasts such a long time and always elicits compliments. Just bought the tiny bottle for my handbag. Love it.

Very wearable white floral

Carnal Flower is a stunning white floral fragrance that’s perfect for warm weather. Sweetness from tuberose, creaminess from the coconut and the freshness of melon is what I get in the dry down. Reminds me very much of Gardenia by Chanel, and also Lys 41 by Le Labo - two fragrances I love very much. Not to say they’re all the same because they aren’t at all, but if you find those two scents enjoyable, you’re going to love Carnal Flower. I do have a problem buying Frederic Malle fragrances from Mecca though and that is the packaging. The first time I bought a FM from Mecca was Iris Poudre and I bought it online. The beginning is so bright that it already hits the nose and repels slightly - animal, tart. Then I hear the ringing spices. After 10 minutes, the sweetness begins (apparently coconut with melon) and white flowers. And it remains flowers for a long time. A beautiful, intoxicating fragrance! Mysterious, languid and sensual. At the same time, it is not annoying. Deep, not for everyone, I suppose.
