Excellent blood glucose meter! I have been battling type 2 diabetes for many years and I would have lost the battle and wound up on metformin or insulin by now if it hadn’t been for this little beauty. It uses the tiniest of blood samples so you don’t end up looking and feeling like a pin cushion. It also has a memory so you don’t have to keep a log for your doctor...just take the meter with you to appointments. It also does not need to be calibrated...it is ready to use right out of the box. I can truly say this Freestyle Lite Blood Glucose Monitoring System has saved my life on more than one occasion. I have already repurchased this meter (when I lost my last one on vacation) and would recommend to anyone who has blood sugar issues, large or small.

Our 5 year old daughter was hospitalized for 5 days with the flu and low blood sugar. Our 1st freelight was covered by insurance and was defective out of the box! We were forced to pay out of pocket for a 2nd unit because they can't take these back! Our 2nd monitor worked for 3 weeks! RIDICULOUS!

Consistent glucose readings, Expensive test strips. Swiched from Caretouch and Ankovo meters when test strips could not be purchased.
The first thing is that the Product was defective right out of the box with an Er 4 message and no way to reset/reboot. The item is also $2 more in store with no price-matching or ship to store option. A medical device that doesn't work when brand new makes me question the product's reliability. The company was great about sending a new one but waiting two days to test seems a bit off.

I have been using it for well over a year now.It is small, fitting in the palm of my hand easily. The display is nice and big for my aging eyes. It's not fancy with a lot of options, but does the job and holds a lot of readings if you need to go back and check. I also use the FreeStyle Lite lancets and use the #1 setting on the tip of my finger. It really takes a very tiny amount of blood... smaller than any other meter I have ever used. Once the meter beeps, the number will display within 5-10 seconds, and more beeps will indicate the test is complete. Simple!!I really enjoy not having sore fingers. With past meters, I needed more blood, so had to stick deeper, or multiple times to get enough. OUCH! I do not like needles the way it is.The only drawback to this meter is the price of the strips. They really are way too high. I have been tempted to try the ReliOn meter and strips to see how I liked it as they seem much cheaper.
I absolutely love this monitor. Its small so I just throw it in my bag or purse and take it with me. Everything fits in the pouch it comes with even room for alcohol wipes and lancets. Have used it everyday with testing twice a day and have had not one problem. I did find that testing in different areas left hand vs right hand there was about a 7 point difference after some research my conclusion is this is not due to the machine itself. Love the fact that it has a light in case your in low light or the dark.Only two things I do not like:1. Does not come with the plug to use with a computer (bought seperately)2. Paper log book (my work around use a app like onedrop)

I got a new computer and tried to install the Copilot software so I could download and print my readings, but failed to install because parts of the documents could no longer be found. Probably would be useless anyways if I can't set the correct times. I tried finding info, but all links redirect to Libre 3 sites, so I found no help online. I called support and went through 3 reps. One had me on hold for over 19 minutes. The second one said there was no software for it and got really nasty with me when I told them there was and he should learn about the products he's suppose to answer questions for. I have switched to the Freestyle Lite testing system because my insurance requires I use one of two metering systems. I am glad they included this system in their list.The Abbott Freestyle Lite system does not require testing liquid to calibrate the meter, and you don't have to use alcohol swabs to clean your testing site, just wash with soap and water.The Freestyle Lite meter is much easier to muse than the four types of meters I have used before, its lancets and lancing device are less slippery than other manufacturer's equivalents too.Great system, and you can get a cable to connect to your computer to make spreadsheets for your Physician or BG Test Nurse.Great metering system !!
Ive been using Freestyle Lite glucose monitoring for years. Its been reliable and accurate. When it came time to get a new monitor I naturally went with the tried and true. Ordering through HPFY was easy and prompt.
